I’ve been obsessed with Jenna since the moment I laid eyes on her. I don’t think she notices me, which is fine because I’m nothing but a librarian with the looks of a lumberjack. Someone as perfect as her doesn’t deserve someone like me. But…My obsession with her has already taken root, shocking me down to the marrow of my bones, and there’s nothing I can do about it. Nothing but stare at her from afar, flooded by visions of her writhing as I’m pumping her full with my seed, binding her to me. So when she comes to the library after a party looking for me…all thoughts fly out the window. All sensible, logical thoughts. Who cares? I’ll be a fool if I waste this one shot with her. And now that I’ve gotten a taste…Let’s just say…it’s easier to gnaw off a limb than let her go. She’s f*cking mine. Anyone who disagrees can go straight to hell.
1.5☆ I mean…a lumberjack-paleontologist-librarian MIGHT have been too many things?
After looking at a few of these I’m a bit annoyed by the strict gender role patterns. I know I know, look at the covers, it’s not that deep but c’mon…The older dudes always have jobs and multiple interests outside of the home, whereas the super young heroines always want all the babies with no other accompanying passions, professional interests, or even hobbies.😑 Now I am not knocking SAH moms or any of that so calm down. I’m just annoyed and kinda bored since the author seems to be repeating this same dynamic in her series formula without calling it that. There's also always a proposal that feels fast and forced at the end. I know these are just light smutovellas, but the empty repetition still makes me grumpy.
First DNF of 2024. I made it 19 days into the year. That feels like a record. This is similar to Jessa Kane but not great. DNF 12% 30 year old librarian lumberjack is really into the popular girl in college. So. Ya know. Probably an 18 year old.
Jacob is a fill-in at the university library, and he asks to stay on because one look at Jenna, and he can't get her out of his head. Jenna has also been secretly lusting after him, so she spends more time in the library to be near him.
Oh how I Love that the guy was The Librarian ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ OMG, chapter 4 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 no wonder it’s in the rain🌧️ 🗯️ “Her beauty rips the soul clean off my body every single time I lay my eyes on her” 💘soo sweet💘 😂😂😂 best possessive warning I’ve heard in a while (EXTENDED EPILOGUE)😎 P.S. Cover Model = Sooo Verrry Lickable 😈😛💋💋💋

The librarian de Lena Little serie Steamy Shorts libro 2
Argumento:
Though the book's cover makes it seem the MMC would be this confident Alpha type of guy, he is a big guy but a paleontologist and part-time librarian crushing hard on the popular college girl. But little does he know that the popular girl likes him a lot. "The Libarian" is 67 pages long and sweet, with some spice. I liked it.
I love how he was self conscious. Worried a girl like her could never love a guy like him. Only to find out it was entirely mutual. The ending was amazing. Waiting 5 years for something you’ve been trying for and then finally getting that gift. It made my heart so happy! Great short story.
“I don’t know what I did to deserve her, but she’s here, taking all I’m giving her. And I’m giving her everything.” -Jacob Jameson, from The Librarian by Lena Little
My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Jenna is a college student ready to graduate, Jacob is a paleontologist who works for a week part time at the University library. He becomes obsessed with Jenna when he sees her in the library, for the first time so much so that he extends his stint as the librarian. Jenna is equally as obsessed with Jacob. They almost share their first kiss, but they’re interrupted by one of Jenna‘s friends. The next night after attending a frat party, she heads over to the library and with the courage of alcohol, she decides to be bold and make her move on Jacob. Their first encounter deep in the stacks is really hot and steamy, he gets her off orally. She asked him to take her home, when they pull up to her apartment one of the frat boys comes out and tries to shame Jacob for being with Jenna. He claims to be her boyfriend and Jacob‘s not buying it. He goes ahead and threatens him and the frat boy leaves. Jenna asks him to take her to his home. A very Hollywood movie like first time for them, Jenna loves the rain and asks Jacob to stop the car near his home and they have their first time standing outside in the rain. She’s a virgin no mention of his past. More sexy times at his house. When Jacob wakes the next morning he finds himself alone, Jenna has left. Both are heartbroken, Jenna left because she saw a letter about a new job for Jacob in Venezuela with a plane ticket. She thought them being together was a one night stand. He thinks she regrets their night together. Both are miserable until Jacob comes to watch her graduate. She’s shocked to see him there, they both talk and realize they just had a misunderstanding, he never planned to go. The company sent him a ticket to try and force him to go. A marriage proposal, I love yous, and an epilogue five years later with them finally pregnant. Bonus epilogue with three kids and them still madly in love.

It had me intrigued from the start—obsessed lumberjack vibes in a librarian’s body? Yes, please. The setup promised a possessive, primal MMC and plenty of spice, but the delivery was a little... meh.
First, the plot. Or should I say, the loose collection of events trying to pass as a plot. Things moved quickly—sometimes too quickly—and didn’t always make sense. And that third-act breakup? Cringe. It felt like drama for the sake of drama and had me rolling my eyes instead of rooting for the characters.
The dialogue didn’t help either. It felt like something out of a high school rom-com, which was a bit jarring considering the adult themes. I was expecting a brooding, possessive lumberjack librarian, but instead got a guy who seemed completely lacking in confidence and unsure of himself at every turn.
That said, if you’re in the mood for a quick and spicy read that doesn’t require much commitment, this could scratch the itch. Just don’t expect a story that will stick with you—or make much sense.
I enjoy Lena’s newer works usually abc this story was good. But to be honest, it wasn’t up to the same standard as her other recent works, including some grammar issues.
As for the plot, it’s adorable. The paleontologist falls head over heels for a student while filling in at the uni library and asks to stay on so he can still see her. Meanwhile, the student has fallen for him and she suddenly starts doing all her studying at the library just to see him.
One thing leads to another and viola! One thing was different from Lena’s normal work, though- it lacks the D/s energy common to her stories. So if that’s what you’re after, this isn’t the best option. Try some of her other works.
3.5 stars This was a change of pace for librarian stories. A male librarian who is obsessed/crushing on a female patron. Jacob was a paleontologist who worked part time in the library. He tall and big and intimidating to most. Jenna is a popular college student who unbeknownst to Jacob, has a crush on him. This is a love at first sight, from Jacob's perspective, story. He goes to the extreme of finding out almost everything about her. Its both cute and creepy. It is kind of hard to believe he is in his thirties. He acts like a love sick teenager. The epilogues were nice, especially the extended one. All in all is was an okay short story.
Such a huge waste of time, even if it was less than 100 pages. How is the description "lumberjack by day" supposed to be a BAD thing? Like "why would she want to be with me when I am so smart and so buff? I am an idiot." WHAT?? Also, when the protagonist sized himself up against his love interest's stalker. "I towered over him and had more muscles but I didn't go to the gym. He was stronger than me and I never stood a chance." WHAT???????????
Read it for the spicy scenes but don't read the "plot" around it - this is basically porn.
Also, as a librarian, didn't appreciate the digs that working at a library was "beneath him."
Wow I mean I like fast romance but my goodness. She goes to library, they have some fun time, And on way to her apartment there is a confirmation with another male. Right after that they head to his house sleep together. She leaves thinking he got another job. Arrives at her graduation and asks her to marry hi.. They really don't know each other. Only have seen each other at the library.
I like quick reads but I like the people to at least know each other, goodness.
Jacob is sexy and him being a Librarian is extra sexy for me. He is smart and so protective of Jenna that he will do anything to make her happy. She is the reason he is working there and he is the reason she keeps coming to the Library. When they finally give in to their desires it is super sexy and sweet. Loved the time jump at the end love these sexy shorts with amazing and heartwarming HEA! Happy Reading!!
Too short, I want more! That's the only reason for the four stars or it would have been five. I usually don't give four out for such a short story let alone five. A good heart warming story. I like that he allowed her to come onto him first. It just blew away everyone else's notion of him. Nobody really knew him. I just wonder what her parents thought. Oh well. We'll never know.
I almost have two stars because it was short and attempted to have a plot, but nope… 1⭐️ it is. I only finished it because it’s short, which I was grateful for! Apologies to everyone who follows me on Goodreads as I attempt to be caught up with my reading challenge for the year by reading these short novellas that are basically ridiculous and all sex 🥴😬😂
Okay so I had been reading a ton of holiday romances and was looking for a change! And BOY am I glad I read this! I don’t know what it is but these short romances have me hooked! I love that they have an epilogue and a secondary one! It’s like a perfect little book.
This short story is a very good example if his people make assumptions that are anything but right. Jacob is an unlikely librarian because he doesn't fit the stereotype. I liked how he is gentle, shy but definitely an alpha. He is enamored with Jenna from afar for a semester. Jenna is a part if a click but she us her own person. I appreciated how she refused to be bullied by the campus jock. Their story is an endearing read. Enjoy!
The librarian and the college student. Jenna and Jacob are adorable. He works at the school library and Jenna comes to study all the time. Both secretly crushing on the other. Then one night Jenna gets bold and goes to find Jacob. She's wants him to be her first. This book was hot and semi spicy. So very good.
I love this it’s very exciting that some drama mystery, naughty, naughty, and the romance was real cute. I love the passion scenes in the rain. The parents where she lives by herself. Did she have maids, apartments, house, sister, and brothers it’s a lot of questions and answered but it was a good book.
Jacob is the librarian at the college where Jenna is a student. He saw her and fell instantly for her ,but he thought she would never see him as more than a staff member . Jenna had a huge crush on Jacob and when these two finally met officially... Sparks fly. Instalove, age gap, grumpy/sunshine, romantic, sweet, carefree read, steamy and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama😍😍
Instant and over the top, that’s how I like my romance novels. For both of them it was instant and all consuming, yet still sweet and naughty. Loved their epilogues.
Love the gentle giant type of characters like Jacob who have honor and integrity and look like a lumberjack rather than a gym jock. My favorite book boyfriend type. Great story.
I looked at this book once before, but it didn't really appeal to me. I read the first book in the series, and then I wanted to read the third so decided to read it too. It was sweet, and over the top. I don't believe a paleontologist would be as buff as he is, but hey... it's fantasy.
These steamy Lens Little novels are really addictive! I’m absolutely hooked! Love the character development and relationships involved. They’re truly life affirming!
A quick, sweet read! Jenna and Jacob. He's obsessed with her and thinks she doesn't notice him at all. When he gets a chance with her, he takes it and the whole story makes sense! It's definitely and age gap, innocent girl kind of story. It reads fast and is interesting from beginning to end!
