This is a lovely story set on an exotic Middle East Island. Cameron is a former Air Force pilot recovering from an injury. Amani is a princess of Bahara. The plot of the story follows the two as they get to know each other and fall in love. The author shows how the differences in their status and upbringing influence how they view life and love. They have some fiery and interesting arguments that make turning the pages great.
Despite being the third story in this series, I was able to read and comprehend the story as a standalone novel. I felt like I had enough background throughout the book to understand what had previously happened to the main male character.
This book read like it had a part 1 and part 2. It is definitely a longer book; so think of it as a book with two parts.
Cameron’s life has been completely derailed, and he has no idea what’s next for him. He decides to take a bodyguard job for his best friend. He is a perfect gentleman and tries to “keep it in his pants,” so to speak. He knows he’s not supposed to sleep with the princess he’s guarding, despite her advances and his attraction to the beautiful virgin.
Princess Amani knows what she wants and won’t stop until she gets it. She is used to being in the shadows and grabs her opportunity to shine and be a spokesperson for the women in her country and other tribes in her kingdom. She also wants to sleep with Cam, making all the moves! She knows she will end up with an arranged marriage one day, and she is determined to have her first be “her choice,” and she has chosen Cam.
Amani is a very strong female character who knows what she wants and goes for it. Cam is a respectable gentleman and very good at his job. Inside he’s a mess with no direction and has lost his faith in love. Will Amai be able to heal his soul? Will they be able to be together? Will Amani get what she wants?
I won’t spoil what happens, but this book is pretty predicable. Part 2 launches, dealing with the aftermath of part 1, ending in a promised happy ever after. The only other criticism I have is the author’s tendency to recap what “just” happened. There came a point where the author kept recapping the same thing over and over. I think the writing can be tightened up a little bit.
Overall, despite being pretty predicable and a little wordy at times, it was a really fun and sweet story. There is a little bit of a story besides the two character’s romance, but it is minor. And yes, it is “very” smutty!!! Amani has read many romance novels and wants with Cam what she’s read about! 4 stars and Level 3 smut.

Cameron Mitchell’s world has been turned upside down. Among other things, he was injured in a plane accident and is no longer in the Air Force. One of his good friends, Khalil Naseer, is now the King of Bahara, a small country in the middle east. He has asked Cameron to become head of security for his sister, Princess Amani Naseer, because he thinks his family is being targeted. Cameron jumps at the chance to help his friend and get away from his troubles. Princess Amani wants more in life and is battling with what her rightful place should be in her country. This includes marrying someone with a royal background. She has a degree in finance and economics but is mostly ignored or regulated to what a woman’s “place” should be. Cameron has been in her country for six months and she has become infatuated with him. She’s forward and expresses what she wants. Cameron is becoming attracted to her too and is struggling to remain professional. Once they share a passionate kiss, the next steps are inevitable. Their chemistry is off the charts, however, there are consequences to their actions.
Ms. St. John focuses on Cameron evaluating his life as he struggles to repair the broken relationships with his family and discovers what real love is. A family crisis has a way of bringing everyone together. It was good to get updates on the rest of the family as well. This was a good continuation to the Mitchell brother series. Cameron Mitchell is hurting: he feels angry and betrayed by his mother and his brother, his career as a pilot is at an end and he doesn’t know what to do next. So, when his friend Khalil becomes the Crown Prince of an island in the Middle East, and asks him to come and guard his sister, Amani, he jumps at the chance. What he doesn’t expect is to feel so powerfully attracted to the woman he is meant to protect.
Princess Amani Naseer has spent her entire life in the public eye. Always hemmed in by guards and attendants, she’s never had the freedom to do just what she wants. In fact, she’s never even been kissed. But now the hot American bodyguard has arrived, she’s determined to change all that and to have one night of passion before being obliged to enter into a dynastic marriage. She gets her way and their night together exceeds all expectations but the consequences are far greater than either of them could have imagined. A compelling, sexy page-turner of a romance with a satisfying ending.

Cameron Mitchell and Princess Amani Naseer are thrown together when Cameron’s military career ends and his best friend is a newly titled King who asks Cam to become his sister’s bodyguard.
Buy Princess Amani has a different agenda once she meets Cameron and sets her sights on him. Cam has unresolved family issues which prevents him from succumbing to Amani’s charms, until he can’t help himself.
Now marriage is the only way to save her reputation and his friend’s kingdom.
There is a lot of drama to unpack in this story, and the first quarter of the book while intriguing is a bit drawn out. But once you get a handle on the back story, as a reader you are pulled in and on edge until everything is resolved.
Of course there’s a happy ending, which makes all the drama worthwhile.
This was an emotional read which made for a good story. He has been betrayed in the past and has closed off his emotions. Now that he can no longer be an Air Force pilot, he has been asked by one of his best friends to come to his country and help solve a mystery while also guarding the friend's younger sister. He will never be the same. She has always been ignored by her family and would just like to find someone who will love her for herself. She sets her sight on her new guard because she has a feeling that he's the one for her. She will never be the same. Read this heartfelt story to see if these two lost souls can forge a happy ending for themselves.

This is the first book I've read from Yahrah St. John, but I will definitely read more! This was the 3rd book in the Mitchell Brothers series, and it was a sweet story. The relationship between Cameron and Amani is beautiful in how it builds. I like that even tho she's a little naive in matters of love, she is still very much a strong, proud woman who takes great care about her country, her people and her duty. Cameron is a stubborn man who just needs the right woman to come along and break down his walls. Amani takes up the challenge! This was a very enjoyable read.

Cameron and Amani's love story is beautiful. Princess Amani is so strong and willing to fight for what she wants, which is not easy in her country. Cameron thinks he is a broken man not capable of loving again. Until he is asked to guard Princess Amani. She steals his heart. He fights his feeling for her. Til he can't fight it anymore. This is a beautiful story. With some steamy scenes. I really enjoyed. I highly recommend it.

Cameron was dealt a bad hand in the last year and would have rather been left alone. I can understand how you are devastated that who you thought you were is not the case. That is a hard pill to swallow. Amani knew with every fiber in her being that she had to have Cameron and would stop at nothing until she had him. The love of family and friends can help guide you when you are out on a limb. The Mitchell Family is a strong united bunch and they love each other. Amani was able to capture Cameron’s heart and love.
Amani got on my nerves acting like a child. She went to her brother to ask him to let her handle conflict with a tribe, but she couldn't tell him she wanted Cameron. She went above and beyond trying to seduce Cameron, and felt some type of way, that his feelings at first wasn’t as deep as hers.
Cameron should have removed himself from her detail before things went too far. Cameron prided himself with loyalty, honor, and duty, but he couldn't tell his friend he was attracted to his little sister.

Won this book in a goodreads giveaway which does not reflect my review. This was such a sweet story. Very vanilla. I enjoyed it as a respite from some spicy books I've been reading. I gave it 3 stars because as much as i enjoyed it, I probably wont read it again. The love story between Amani and Cameron was a whirlwind. I felt that Amani was definitely a spoiled naive princess. Cameron was an idiot.
This was a story about Princess Amani Neeser of Bahara and Cameron Mitchell. They met because Cameron was called to be her bodyguard. His best friend Kahlil was called to be King and Amani is his sister. Cameron and Amani were attracted at first sight but attempted to fight it. However their attraction caused them to through caution to the wind. They married and after difficulties found their happily ever after.
Their mutual connection is strong and their raw emotions are intense. Getting to know them, their history and what makes them the person they've grown to be is very heartfelt and realistic. It's a slow burn with some deep revelations but entertaining and I enjoyed the ride. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Mitchell Brothers series was a great read from book one to book three. Cameron the baby of the brother is dealing with major changes in his life. My least favourite character in book three was the mother. My favorite character was Princess Amani. A great read with a lesson in forgiveness. I
Good read, I liked the characters. Princess Amani was special, her and Cameron’s match was destiny. He was disillusioned with love and had to overcome his past hurt. It was great to catch up with the Mitchell family.
This is a sweet fantasy. It was not what i expected. I thought from the title there’d be romance, but some real suspense and or action along with the guarding. Three and a half stars and this one is it for me.
Bodyguard romance. Amani wanted Cameron and he wanted her. He fought it until he couldn't resist anymore. Their love story was really good. He didn't think he'd ever have a happily ever after but it was right there in front of him. I really enjoyed this book.
Oh my goodness, I liked this one the best of the 3. Don't get me wrong because the other 2 were very good also. Its just something about love at first sight and fighting those feelings that really make it all worthwhile.
This was another excellent book by Ms. St. John. The trilogy is now complete with the Mitchell brothers. I'm glad that Cameron forgave his mother and brother. There could be no movie g forward if there is no forgiveness.
final installment. this is Cameron and Amani's story. Amani is the virgin princess. Cameron is the former Air force pilot hired to be her bodyguard. actions have consequences. Cameron is forced to marry Amani.
I kept expecting some suspense and drama in this novel, although it was a steamy romance I was on tenterhooks throughout and felt a bit deflated when I reached the end of the book. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the romance that developed between Cameron and Amani and could identify with her frustration at Cameron when he refused to let her into his heart. Fortunately, he does come to his senses before it is too late and the novel comes to a good conclusion. I received a copy of this book through BookSprout as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Cameron Mitchell and Princess Amani Nasser a wounded man and a young woman who was looking for someone to love her and see her as the intelligence she was. Cameron was afraid to love and Amani was almost to eagerly seeking to be loved.
