Peggy takes on a simple alteration job for the poison-penned editor of the Spicetown Star, Ed Poindexter, and it turns into a covert operation involving millionaires and a Federal fugitive.
Cozy mysteries don't always have to involve murder which I like. This one involves a company trying to build a plant that could cause issues for the town. Sheri does a great job of bringing the community and the reader in with everything that is going on and you feel like you are part of the community.
This is the second of a trilogy, same characters as the first. The storyline was better than the first, but still pretty (dare I say it?) boring. This is good for bedtime reading because you’re not tempted to read later than you should.
