It's been great to re-read this and it's precursor again. The stories feel familiar even when new. It's like coming home. If you're debating reading them please do! Though beware the series is unfinished thus far
Most definitely a better book than part 1! No more silly spelling mistakes and other errors and character development is a lot better. However, the story still feels rushed and there is to many things conveniently happening right before they're needed to fix the story. Almost as if the story was written from start to finish with no option of going back and adding or changing things... Things that weren't mentioned before all of a sudden appear in the story, mentioning they've been there along? So why weren't they mentioned before? Certainly the last 4-5 chapters were way too short. Things happen too fast with insufficient storyline, depth or details. The story is quite good (for a YA book), but the book should've been maybe twice the size. It just feels like lazy writing, which is a shame because the story itself deserves better.
