These books were really funny. The fact that they were about a guy didn't hinder the relatability at all. I remember that Matthew seemed a lot more mature than I was at that age. Looking now at my cousin, who's in sixth grade, it doesn't seem possible...

This book is about a boy who is looking forward to his birthday thats coming up soon.He stopped being his usual self to get things he need for his upcoming birthday.Ex:sweets, birthday invitaion,and etc. You must think he's crazy for needing sweets but this is because his mother doesn't let the family eat sweet,unless it's a special accasion.The book was mainly about him developing to be more mature before,during,and after his birthday.He got a change in personality from before his birthday and during his birthday.

I found this book really boring. I wouldn't recomend it, there are many more books better than this one for kids to read.

I was going to get rid of this book, but then I started reading it and as I do with every book I start I had to finish it. It wasn't worth the read not even close but you have to read the bad books to read the good books.

If you like books that is about character development then you'll like this book because: This book is about a boy who always never eat anything unhealthy and likes to bother girls especially his sister.Then when his birthday was coming he looked forward to it because he gets to eat unhealthy things on that day,but he doesn't know that a big change will happen to him on his birthday.

The siblings were a bit more whiney than I found palatable... but I suspected someone would be based on the title, so I wasn't overly bothered since I went in expecting it. It did have some coming of age/pubecent themes and struggles with relationships/friendships that appealed to my middle school boys, and encouraged them to open up about their own struggles.

Set in sixth grade, a hilarious story of the class clown, and his school and family life. Very enjoyable.

Children's book. Matthew is throwing a 12th birthday party but gets mad at his best friend. A little short on plot and exposition, but its what I imagine some 12-year-olds might enjoy reading.
