After the crazy days I’ve had, this book made me feel calm again. It made me forgot the troubles and problems in my life, and let me live in the world of these characters. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster,, but I loved everything about it.
Baseball player Ethan is a star in what he does, but his past and his private life make it impossible for him to fully enjoy this.
Everly should keep everything on a professional base between them, but what is she is the one to turn things around for him?
It was so easy to relate to Ethan and Everly, everything in this book was so realistic. It shows that even when life is difficult and hard, with the right person by your side, you can overcome so much.

Ethan is a successful professional pitcher. He has a major sot spot for Everly a sports agent. Problem is Everly is not looking for a relationship thanks to her horrible ex.
Everly is smart, and a very determined business woman. She is drawn to Ethan. But the pull is strong. Ethan is fighting his demons and keeps pushing her away. But she stands by him. So many emotions with some spicy in the bedroom.

What a great sports romance filled with trauma, angst, heartbreak, addiction & sobriety, and the love of a woman that refuses to leave his side. The spark between Ethan and Everly burns fast and hot, and quickly they become an item! Ethan’s past creeps up and it turns his world upside down. Everly does everything she can to help him as he backslides right into alcohol addiction. The angst she endures as he pushes her away through his addiction and even into sobriety, surprises me that her faith still remains that strong!! But it does make my heart ache for her.
This book might be one of my favorites by her. It was written so well with realistically flawed characters that fight through adversity, and still push on towards an hea. The emotions the author evoked were strong and raw. If you haven’t read this yet, you really should!

This is my new favorite book by LM Reid. It’s filled with love, devotion, emotion and passion.
Ethan is a successful baseball player but has some demons that are preventing him from being 100% at his job and life. He has some major trauma from his past that he needs to work through but unfortunately he doesn’t make good choices for coping mechanisms.
Everly is smart, determined an a great business woman. She is drawn to Ethan even tho she shouldn’t be…from a business perspective. She is patient, understanding but, at times, I wish she could have been a little tougher on him.

This is not simply a romance story about an athlete and an an agent but has a hidden depth to in the development of the story and the character development.
The connection between these too is instant but both don’t know what to do with it. They go down the route of being just friends but friends always turns into more and it is Ethan that does the chasing. Ethan and Everly together have a chemistry and work. The problem is Ethan has issues - he was abandoned by both parents and in the end he turned to alcohol but things were better he was better. Then one visit from someone from his past changes everything and he turns to the one thing that helps.
Can these two overcome the new issues for their hea.
The author deals so well with this subject matter and the inner strength needed from both Ethan and Everly. This was a lovely story.

OMG! What a book! Ethan Ambrose, professional pitcher finds himself pinning after Everly a sports agent. She isn’t wanting a relationship thanks to her horrible ex. He fights with his demons from his past and has battled with addiction. The love and spice these two have with each other is amazing. She’s willing to be the first one not to leave and stand by him but he does everything he can to push her. So many emotions with this book had me devouring this book in no time. I will be buying the paperback to have on hand as well. I love me an athlete who is spicy in the bedroom. So hot!!! A great story!

This story is truly beautifully written!! As someone who has people close to her who have struggled with addiction and loved someone in addiction, this story truly brings to life what being in that type of relationship looks like. I have never related to a female character more, and this is literally now at the top of my favorite books. Thank you for writing this story. I can't say enough good things about this book. I will reread this book over and over. I'm certain of that.

The roller coaster of emotions I went through as I read this? Geez. Ethan has my heart. He struggled and went through it trying to see himself for the person everyone saw him as. I think this books truest showed the dark side that is depression being coped with alcohol. The way Everly was written showed just the lengths a person goes through when they truly love their person. There was so much wrong after wrong after wrong happening that to some it might seem like a lot and maybe rushed but the reality is that that is a reality for people who are struggling. The beauty, hurt, anguish and love was portrayed beautifully on paper. Ethan learned so much about himself and how to be himself, ugly and all.

Ethan and Everly’s story is such a beautiful and amazing one that even though it may break your heart at times you are going love every second of it. Ethan is a professional baseball player and when he meets Everly their attraction is intense as well as instant, but both have their own reasons for not wanting a relationship if only they could tell themselves that. The more time they are around each other the chemistry just burns brighter until they can’t fight it, but when Ethan’s past starts to come around things slowly start to change. What was blooming into a beautiful thing between them is slowly being ripped apart by Ethan’s doubt that he is good enough for her and the pressure from his past is eating away at him turning him into something he hates. The journey in this story is a hard one that deals with real life truths that at times it’s hard to swallow the pain that Ethan endures and Everly stands by him at all times showing him how worthy he is but sometimes that isn’t enough until someone hits rock bottom. My heart was shattered in moments because of how real the situations and pain were, but it was a beautiful road in growth for them and I loved every second of it.

I absolutely loved this story of Ethan and Everly! What a page turner. Secrets and one man’s journey to cope with everything going on in his life. Ethan, a pitcher, and Everly, who works for Players Advantage run into each other, literally at an event. He spills his drink on her, water which she doesn’t realize at first. He doesn’t drink-what’s the reason behind that? She just knows she can’t get involved with him, but the pull these two have toward each other is undeniable. As they spend time together, Ethan and Everly’s connection just grows. When someone pops back into his life, Ethan starts spiraling out of control. Whiskey becomes his friend. It’s Everly who sticks by his side and won’t leave him. Who is that someone and what secret do they have? Can Ethan recover and will Everly continue to be by his side? Wait til you find out! You won’t want to miss a single moment as Ethan tries to figure out exactly what he wants in life. Is a happy ending in store for him and Everly?

I love sports romance and was so happy to receive this ARC from this author! We have a broken hero, Ethan, who has a lot of baggage from abandonment and a drinking problem. He’s a pro baseball player. He meets a sports agent, Everly and is enamored at first sight. He doesn’t feel worthy of her, so he initiates a friendship.
Be aware of TW and that there is a lot of conflict with Ethan’s addiction to alcohol. It is the major conflict of this love story for over 50% of the story.
I definitely wish Ethan had a better childhood and didn’t try to push everyone away.

If you love a good sports romance and a MMC with demons…this is for you! This book had me in a chokehold from page one. I love a good insta-love. Ethan & Everly are precious together. He keeps pushing her away once his demons kinda rear their head & buddy does she hold on a fight for him! Their connection & bond is amazing. The cancer journey thrown in touches my heart strings, as a cancer survivor myself so I love the awareness brought through this book. Hands down a 5⭐️ read! Run & get it on release day! You won’t be disappointed.

This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. Ethan, the star pitcher, has a past that he keeps hidden. This past has driven him to dark places and addiction. Everly seems to be his saving grace but circumstances begin to pull him back into the darkness. Beautifully written, this story shows how addiction effects everyone in a persons life, and how with the support of friends and hard work a person can come out the other side. I received this ARC and voluntarily give my review.

Ethan is a pro baseball player and Everly is a sports agent. When they meet, sparks fly. Unfortunately both have issues in their past that prevents them from wanting a relationship. However, fate has other plans and as the two form a friendship, it starts to turn into something more as they each support each other and end up falling for each other. This is one of my new favorite books by this author!!

Funny, charming, steamy, and full of heart, and I didn’t want to put this book down nor did I want it to end. You definitely won't want to pass this one up. So If you want to cozy up with a book and be swept into a sports rom story, this is definitely the book for you! Well done on another hit out the park book. Happy reading

I am a sucker for a good sports romance, and this one is full of emotion, trauma, addiction, and an FMC that refuses to leave his side.
Everly is a sports agent, with a past athlete relationship, tries to stay away from a relationship with an athlete. She is at an event that her company is putting on and she helped plan.
Ethan is professional pitcher and is a client of the sports agency Everly works for. Ethan has been through a lot of trauma's in his life.
This is a first work I have read of L.M. Reid and I cannot wait to look into the other works out there.
