Free off the books app and I could read more of her books. It was an easy read. Nothing complex. Intriguing in an unexciting way - that’s as good as the description gets. Clearly I should have paid more attention in my English classes on how to use adjectives to describe my thoughts. I’m not even sure adjective is the right word. Have a read if you like simple murder mysteries
A quick and easily read mystery. This one is a little different in the fact that the murder(s) took place 20 years ago. It's a cold case the Private Investigator Georgiana Germaine's dad & step father had worked on, so she has a special connection to it, even if she otherwise has no ties to the victims or suspects. The book itself starts off like they all do... first chapter taken from the victims POV. There are several suspects whom all have good motives. It's an interesting case and the book as a whole is well written. No unnecessary fluff. Safe for teens and up. There is mention of physical abuse and bullying. My only complaint, is that I'd like to see more on the personal front when it comes to the detective, and her relationships. We do get some, and without spoiling anything, I wish there were follow up conversations had after the case was solved. The ending felt slightly rushed, but I really enjoyed the book.
This latest installment of the Georgiana Germaine series, has Gigi tackling a 20 year old cold case. This first chapter tells about the murders from Cora's point of view, then we jump to 20 years later. It is slow at Gigi's PI agency, so she has given Hunter & Simone time off and is handling the office alone when Cora arrives and aske her to look in this case. When Gigi finds out that the original detective on the case was/is her step dad Harvey, she goes to speak to him about it. it is the one that has always bothered him. So with the help of Hunter, Simone and Whitlock from the police department, there are a lot of people determined to solve this case. I really enjoy this series and hope that we get to see more in the personal life of Gigi. Really was good fast read. I wasn't sure who the murderer was and why, until the very end. Looking forward to #10
I did enjoy this visit with Georgiana. It was/ complex cold case that she took on and to be honest I thought it was going to go another way.
That being said I felt the end was a little bit rushed. For me it took away from the story to have it wrapped up like that. I can’t explain why. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the book but I think I expected something different.

Cora returns to town and seeks out Georgiana regarding a cold case. Twenty years ago, she and her friends snuck out to a relative’s house in the woods. Five of them were killed and Cora survived although she was left for dead. She still has nightmares about the murders and is convinced she will never have peace until she knows what happened. When Georgiana agrees to accept the case, she learns that the case was originally investigated by both her dad and her stepdad. Her stepdad wants to work on the case with her, but her mom wants to tag along because of his health. As I’ve come to expect from this author there are loads of twists and turns before the killer is revealed. Even though this is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone. A great addition to a fascinating series!
Little Stolen Memories - a review by Rosemary Kenny.
Two decades have passed since five teenagers were brutally murdered while on an illicit weekend camping trip, and another left for dead in the surrounding woods. Tormented by survivor's guilt ever since, Cora Callahan now approaches local detective Georgiana Germaine, (aka Gigi) hoping that by working together the killer will finally be brought to justice...but there's a long and dangerous path to negotiate first...will they make it?
Cheryl Bradshaw's riveting crime-thriller will keep you reading all night - but please... don't have nightmares!
Georgiana aka Gigi and her detective agency are hired to see if they can find out who murdered the teens 20 years ago. The cold case was one not forgotten by either her step-dad Harvey or the newly hired out of retirement Whitlock. They agree to join forces to see if between them and today's resources they can figure it out. There is a long list of suspects and it takes them all to solve the case. All the characters from the previous books are present to add witty dialogue and humor to the murder mystery.
Things are slow at the Case Closed Detective Agency, until Cora walks in requesting that Georgiana find out who murder her friends 20 years ago. This new case just happens to be a cold case that her stepfather Harvey worked when he was a detective. One he regrets not being able to solve. Georgiana and her team are always up for a challenge. With the help of Detective Whitlock and Harvey, they set out to find the murder. As always things are not as they seem! Excellent book!
Very short good little mystery. But in order to keep it short, some cuts were made. The lead clue found during a dream (I haven’t read any other books in this series so I’m not totally sure if Georgiana has some sort of psychic power that makes the dreams credible) and the actual killer was found because of a coincidence. All in all an interesting tale but with a rather flat and unsatisfying ending
Little Stolen Memories - In a secluded cabin deep within the woods, an ominous stranger is about to change the lives of six unsuspecting teenagers forever …
Cheryl Bradshaw's writing never disappoints. This series is a must-read for mystery fans. Each book stands alone, but starting from the beginning enhances the experience. Lovable characters, intricate plots, and shocking twists make for an unforgettable ride.
Twenty year old cold cases are inevitably slow in the begining! There are no clues, but the story is interesting because Georgina dug right into witnesses and case files! The murders were mysterious, with lots of suspects! The suspect list is daunting, but as clues developed, the best guess characters emerged! This where the story accelerated to a breathless pace! A well developed plotline and a compelling story!
The latest in the Georgiana Germaine series opens with the telling of five teenagers who were murdered two decades prior. The story revolves around Georgiana and her partners in the Case Closed Detective Agency who were hired to solve the cold case by the lone survivor. Twists and turns throughout made me keep reading thru the night. Love this series by Cheryl Bradshaw.
Georgiana's private investigation agency is hired to investigate a cold case by the only surviving victim in a mass murder. She is very interested in solving this case. Her stepfather Harvey had worked on the case 20 years ago. Now someone is harassing the surviving victim, so it appears the murderer is still around, and will do anything to keep their identity a secret. Must read story!!|
Eeek! I could read and re-read Bradshaw's books over and over again! This book starts out a little more intense and scary, but the thrill is exciting and sets off a mystery hunt Cold Case, and I could not stop reading until I (ok, ok, detective Georgiana Germain)- figured out who done it!! SO GOOD! You do not need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this, but I have loved all of them!
Another exceptional story by Cheryl Bradshaw about teenagers going to a cabin and all are murdered except one. After 20 years the sole survivor returns to the town and hires Gigi to find the killer as the police were unable to do so those years prior. Gigi and her team are very good at their jobs and find the perpetrator. A great story and I look forward to the next book in this series.
The Georgiana Germaine series is one of my favorites. This storyline is a cold case that needs to be solved for all the parties involved. There were several possible suspects, but of course there is always a twist, including Georgiana’s mother this time. Ms. Bradshaw never disappoints This series just keeps getting better.
It must be terribly difficult to try to solve a case twenty plus years after the murder occurred. It would take someone with an amazing attention to details. I certainly never saw the way it would end. Just did not identify the murderer which is unusual for me. Highly recommend to everyone who !kids a mystery.
A cold case of 20 years ago. Easy to read and characters with motive making it a good choice for amateur sleuths. Although this is book 10 in the series reading it as a stand alone is fine. An enjoyable read and a reminder that there is nowhere to hide - a case can always be solved with modern policing and improved investigation techniques.
I LOVE your books. I would tell anyone to read Cheryi Bradshaw's books I have read book 1-9 and I have loved them all. I am looking forward to any more she might write after all we still want a marriage and lots more mysteries. I would recommend anyone who likes mysteries or anyone who likes well written stories to read any of her books.
This book had a different vibe to it. However, in Gigi fashion, it had a similar story as the others I have read in this series. It's still a good read and surprising ending. It kept me on my toes until the end. Thank you for writing such great books.
Wow this time cheryl has outdone herself. This book was fantastic. The best so far. Never ever expected the ending. I totally enjoyed this book just couldn't put it down. Well worth reading I highly recommend this book

I love Cheryl’s books! I just inhale them! Once I start reading I can’t stop till I have finished the book! I always seem to be waiting for the next one! She has easily become my favorite author!
I don't know how Ms. Bradshaw wrote a story that hid the villain so well! I can usually figure it out 3/4 of the way through, but not this time. Well done!!! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
5 stars for Little Stolen Memories (Georgiana Germaine Book 9). Love this series. Georgiana is a tough cookie that you would hope to be your friend. Excitedly awaiting the next book!
To be almost murdered with your friends in your senior year in school, but live. Move away because the killer has never been caught. You come back home because your father is sick. So you hire Georgiana to find the killer. Page turner, great characters. Surprised ending!
The storyline was interesting...solving s cold case was a nice change. Not that it's typical, but the HS bullying is so real and the mental harm it does is so real.
This was kind of interesting and kind of a letdown. The author spends a lot of time building up the story and characters, and then, in the end, it just feels fushed and very unfulfilling. It was an easy read, but I don't think I'll read any more of the series.
A cabin killer got away with it for twenty years. Out of six of the victims one lived. She wanted revenge so she hired a private investigator. As a cold case it was hard to prove but as memories came things started to look up.
