The Guerrilla's Guide to Signals Intelligence is an insight into the process of collecting and exploiting signals intelligence with common, off the shelf (COTS) equipment. It is a look at intelligence collection and refinement, the underlying skills necessary to create a signals intelligence collection package and, most importantly, what to do with it. For amateur radio operators to activists alike, this manual will provide a primer for anyone monitoring the RF spectrum in a high threat environment. For academic study only.
Perfect framework for gaining signals situational awareness
This book lays out a thorough and accurate blueprint for thinking through, planning, and executing a one-time or ongoing operation of monitoring and reacting to local frequency usage. These techniques and procedures would work equally well for the hobbyist, a team responding to an emergency incident such as a natural disaster or search & rescue scenario, or someone more tactically oriented.
As in his other books on radio, NC Scout takes a complex subject, covers it in a thorough, holistic way, and explains both the “how” and the “why” in a way that the Everyman can understand. He’s a great teacher and this book is no exception to his thoughtful contributions to the field of learning! Great work, and strongly advised!!
Another great book from NC Scout. IMO this is required reading for everyone involved with communication and its propagation. Reading it has improved my skill set.
