This is the first book in a great horse series called JUMPING INTO DANGER. It is a horse- lovers series with a suspense and mystery twist. In this first book, DOUBLETAKE, Jessica, and her best friend Kristen, are both owners of early retired racehorses that couldn't make a living on the track. Jessica's horse, Lost Treasure or Treasure, is a beautiful dapple mare that was to slow to win. Kristen's gelding had an accident at the starting gate, giving him a life long claustrophobia problem. Jessica is new in town, and owns a horse barn called Diamond View. Her neighbor is a racing stables called Iron Hills. Jessica has a problem with her neighbors, the have two almost identical horses. The owner always seems to know if his horse will win in a race or not. Does the Jockey Club know about his horse's double? Or does the racing industry have a ringer on their hands?

In between trying to solve a mystery of what is going on with her creepy neighbors, Jessica and Kristen take a vacation to California from Kentucky to visit Jessica's aunt, who introduces them to twin brothers Matt and Mark. The plan is to go to the Breeder's Cup. That plan works out fine until they run into Jessica's neighbors. Jessica's mystery is brought back to life and with the help of Kristen and the twins, Jessica is able to prove the owner of Iron Hills was up to no good. But was that enough to put him and his helper behind bars?
