Bear shifter Craig (H) avoids putting himself out there for relationships after the emotional heartache and hurt from being discarded in a past relationship. Wolf shifters Sophia (h) and Declan (H) have known they were mates when they turned eighteen and have been togther for several years, though they have recently talked about bringing someone else into their relationship. Craig is on a field trip with his students at the museum when he encounters Sophia and Declan, and the trio realizes they’re one anothers’ mates. Declan worries that he’s not enough for Sophia and struggles to keep his jealousy towards Craig in check. Things heat up for the trio, but when Declan drives Craig away, Sophia is insistent that Declan fixes things with their mate and work it out with Craig. Sophia seemed a little self-centered and just made it seem like the males needed to figure things out. Declan was understandably upset but it didn’t seem like he really felt a bond with Craig even though they’re all supposed to be fate mates with one another. Craig’s concern that he might end up hurt in the relationship seemed on point, as this is just the beginning of the trio’s relationship and if it’s already this rocky, will it be able to survive. Ando no, I didn't get the title either - it's Sophie's RH and there's no dad element. Hot and steamy shifter menage with lots of angst.

The title is misleading. Reverse Harem is one FMC with three or more MMC, this is a MFM book.

The titular main character is a bear shifter (Craig) while the FMC (Sophia) and second MMC (Declan) are wolf shifters who have been mated since they both turned 18. In the past the mated wolves have both expressed interest in having another mate join them, but once the opportunity arises Declan is hesitant and hurt over Sophia's eagerness to have another male join them.

I found Declan's reaction to be understandable and Sophia was too selfish in the beginning regarding Declan's insecurity. Truthfully none of the main characters were very likable, but I disliked Sophia the most, all her motivations benefited her and she didn't act like she cared about her mates feelings. She's known Craig for a hot second and was still willing to threated Declan to get her way. Craig's actions and thoughts were all over the place, said/though one thing while doing another.

Wouldn't recommend or reread this book.

Bear Single Dad's Reverse Harem is the sixth book of Aspenwood Forbidden Shifters Secrets series by Amelia Wilson. This is a relatively quick read and works as a standalone book.

The story itself was fun - a steamy erotica of when a bear shifter meets the couple who both happen to be his mates. I usually hope in books that are MFM that the men have a bit of MM action (to complete the whole mating thing), but I'm always understanding even if I am disappointed. The story follows an established couple that need to make room for the third that is fated to join their relationship. There is naturally some teething issues in making a poly relationship/mating and there is plenty of drama.

Main issue was that I had was that the title was a little confusion. No emphasis on being a single dad and it isn't the Bear shifter's reverse harem (woman is a wolf shifter). I don't think that the antagonistic mate (the male wolf) made a proper redemption.

Two wolf shifters + one bear shifter = a new relationship

Sophia found her mate, Declan, several years ago. They've discussed bringing another mate into their relationship. Initially, he insisted but now he's not so sure about it. He's afraid he'll be replaced. Both thought the new mate would be another wolf shifter.

Craig is a bear shifter who has yet to meet his mate. He refuses to settle until he finds her. While his class is on a field trip to a museum to view a display on ancient Greece, he sees a man and a woman enter dressed as ancient Greeks. Suddenly, he knows that these two are his soul mates.

She's shocked when one glance at Craig tells her that he's also their mate. She's doubly surprised to realize he's a bear shifter. But will Declan’s jealousy get in the way of their relationship?

This was a really short read about Sophia, Declan, and Craig. Sophia and Declan are both wolf. Shifters and Craig is a bear shifter. Sophia and Declan have been together since they were 18 and went to high school together now. It is six years later and even though they had talked about bringing another person in, when they meet Craig, they both know that Craig is there fated mate but Declan wants nothing to do with him.

The story didn’t flow very well and being a fated mate, knowing that you are with the person that you were meant to be, Declan certainly treated Craig abominably. The ending left me kind of disappointed I expected more from the story as the title mentioned, it was a single dad’s reverse harem, but there were no children involved at all other than Craig being a teacher.

Craig is a teacher and convinced he will never find his fated mate. While on a school trip he gets the shock of his life when he sees a couple and realises that they are both his fated mates. Unsure, he agrees to meet with Sophia and Declan but it becomes clear that Declan is jealous and wants him gone. When Sophia discovers what has happened it will take everything Declan has to sort out the mess or he stands a chance of losing everything. An interesting short story full of jealousy and angst, hope and redemption that will keep you hooked from beginning to end.

never say never

Bear Single Dad's Reverse Harem is book six in the series Aspenwood Forbidden Shifters Secrets by author Amelia Wilson. Well this one is interesting- when reading the blurb I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not- kinda hit me like cheating. Yet it was interesting. And yes I know it’s a reverse harem- yet the couple is already established and this is just someone coming into their group. I had to get my head around that. Which I did - I love Amelia and her books. So I ventured on and I did find it intriguing. Lots of obstacles- lots of steam.

This is not a reverse harem book for two reasons one, reverse harem is the GENDER opposite of a REGULAR harem, where a MALE/MASC PRESENTING person is the protagonist of the book. REVERSE Harem is where a FEMALE/FEMME PRESENTING person is the protagonist of the book.

The second reason why this isn't a reverse harem, is because (from what I read so far) there are only two love interests not three, which is the minimum amount of love interests a book requires to be considered a harem novel (whether the protagonist ends up with just one or all their love interests in the end or not).

If there are only two love interests it falls into the Menage category.

Craig was on a field trip with his students when he saw Sophia and Declan who was already mated but they realized that Craig was the third mate. After having a great afternoon Declan told Craig to never contact them ever again Craig wasn’t needed he would take care of Sophia as he has done for many years without another person there. Sophis found out and told Declan to make things right or she would take care of it and he wouldn’t be happy about the results. Good book!.

Declan ( wolf shifter) is a real jerk to Craig (bear shifter) but when faced with the possibility of loosing his mate Sophia( wolf shifter), he will swallow his pride and makes things right. Craig has had his heart broken to many times to put up with a jealous co-mate. He'll walk away just to keep heartache away. Sophia has been bonded to Declan for years but when fate gives her and Declan another mate, she's wanting what fate gave them. Steamy short fated mate story with plenty of drama.

Craig is a bear shifter who thinks he is destined to be alone. Sophia and Declan are wolf shifters and grew up together and become mates. Fate throws them a curve when they cross paths with Craig and they realize he is also their mates, but not everyone is happy about that.

This was a different story with a twist of conflict between Declan not wanting Craig and Sophia wanted him and Declan. I loved the uniqueness of the story.

Introducing Another Mate

While I love these short stories from Amelia Wilson, I felt this one was left a bit unfinished as the emotional climax was built up and the end was more of setting up for another obstacle to overcome rather than an HEA. Overall, it was intriguing to read about Craig, Sophia and Declan but more of their story would be more satisfying.

Bear Single Dad's Reverse Harem, the body of the story didn't really live up to the title for the story. The potential was there, but the characters weren't developed enough. Also, the connection between Craig, Sophia and Declan wasn't quite felt to me. Along with somewhat slow pacing of the story and dialogue, this was just an ok read for me.

What did I just read??

This may be the most disappointing half-done excuse for a book that I have ever read. I mean really?? You end it with Craig and Declan showing up all busted and bruised, but no real resolution for how the three of them learn to make the relationship work.
Did Amelia Wilson write this? I have read other books by her that were nothing like this disaster.
Will be returning this.

It's a charming short, but the only real criticism I have is that it ended too soon . I would have liked to have seen a little more how their relationship progressed, especially between Declan and Craig. Still, I did enjoy the characters and the storyline.

Quick read. I enjoyed this book. The mmc's and yhe fmc were all trying yo gigure everything out to be together. At first Delxan was all NO and Sophia was intrigued and said yes and Craig never thought these 2 established wolf mates would take him and his bear. Wished it was longer but I enjoyed it.

Faded wolves have a new addition to the family, a bear. He is also faded. Expected conflict. A lot of emotions running through this book. I know multiple shifters/ humans can be fated. I am not sure where the dad part comes in.

This was a quick read dealing with one male bear shifter and his two fated wolf shifter mates.

Not my favorite book by this author. Seemed very rushed and incomplete. Would have liked to see the characters better developed, and the tense situation between Craig and Declan resolved.
