This was a cute, very quick read that was written by a local high school teacher. He gave all the kids in his class a copy for free - very nice!!
I love this line from his book, “A single candle can light a thousand others, but you must let your candle be lit first. Help yourself so that you’ll be in a position to help others.” 🕯️ 💕 This is similar to the saying “you can’t pour from an empty cup,” but I like the symbolism of the light better. ☀️ 🙏

A simple book full of great anecdotes about life. I had the pleasure of being in Mr. Davis’ class in 2015 and got to hear many lessons along the way. One he left out was always keeping some real money on you, like the one time I needed lunch money and he lent me $2.

Mr. Davis if you’re reading this, I’m sorry for spilling my Pulp smoothie on the classroom carpet 9 years ago.
