I received an ARC for my review. This is just my opinion and mine only.

Jump follows Mila after a tragic accident of a family member. Mila is suffering silently and can’t seem to get back to her old self. They story follows her family and how they are coping. Mila’s boyfriend Michael breaks up with her as well. She is a competitive horse jumper who is content with where she is in the sport at this time in her life. Her family wants one thing for her but she wants another and they don’t seem to understand each other. In walks Alex, the guy that’s always been in the waiting whom Mila never noticed before. He sees her suffering and wants to make it better for her.
There is a bit of a love triangle going on as Mila is trying to get back Michael. That is all she’s focused on for about 3/4 of the book. I would have to say I did not agree with this part of the story line and sends a wrong message. If a partner outwardly expresses they are not interested move on. I loved the dynamic and growing relationship between Mila and Alex. It was nice learning about the competitive horse jumping community. In the end everything worked out for all of the characters involved, but I felt the ending was to easy and to fast. A few more chapters would have been nice to see more on that. I don’t want to give to much away. All in all I enjoyed this book from this new author.

A beautiful Love story set in South Florida about a young woman named Mila. Mila loves horses and equestrian. The novel starts almost a year after a terrible accident that happened to Mila’s sister. Throughout the entire novel you feel the emotions that Mila process seeing the accident and the aftermath. In addition, Mika’s boyfriend of two years, leaves her.
Mila is overwhelmed with all these emotions and as she starts to process and understand her feelings she becomes better friends with Alex, a groom from the stables. As time progresses the love that Mila and Alex have is so sweet. Mila does struggle with doing what is expected by her father, what she loves (horses), and this new life with her sister and Alex.
This is a love story that you feel along with the characters throughout the book.

This is a sweet, easy read YA romance. I breezed through it and enjoyed it. A little chaste for my taste but it was described as a clean romance and it is indeed a very clean romance. I love anything to do with horses and I really enjoyed that it was set in the world of competitive show jumping.

The book centres around Alex and Mila and is told in Mila’s voice. Although after reading the epilogue I really wished it was written in a dual POV. There is something about Alex that just draws you in.

Alex “Because this girl has a power over me I never intended anyone to have. “ I hope in book two we get to spend even more time in Alex’s mind.

I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion

Jump follows Mila a competitive show horse jumper and her journey. Mila has to work through her strained relationship with her sister whom suffered a terrible accident that left her paralyzed, while training for her competitions and navigating her love life. Mila learns to grow and develop into a new more confident version of herself. She learns what to hold on to and what to let go of during her self growth period.

This was a super fun, cute, quick read. I loved the character development throughout the book. Mila learns to overcome her fears and grows into her own self. She learns to be more decisive about what she wants in life and love.

I was so glad to be a part of the ARC reading team for this book. It kept me interested and excited the whole time.

Jump is a YA novel that deals with horses, grief and learning to start over. Mila was somewhat annoying in the beginning of the book just with missing her ex so badly and not wanting anything to do with her sister and the accident. I liked Anya and wished there would have been some more chapters with her. I did like the business idea that is at the end of the story, I think it is a great idea. Mila seems to grow up through out the book and was more likable for me as I read further. I would be interested in seeing the next book, maybe it will be about Anya and her new journey.

There was some cursing and innuendos in the book.

Also this deals with trauma from an accident.

I love how this book opens a window into the world of show jumping and horsemanship for the reader it even includes a glossary of the terms used, so it makes it easier for the reader to understand what’s going on, especially if they haven’t been apart of that world. Tiffany created an amazing storyline full of drama, emotions, struggles, and romance. It is an emotional roller coaster. This book does come with the prequel called Off Course. I suggest reading that before reading this book because it gives you more of a background of what happens in the beginning of the story.

This is a beautiful YA story with the heart and emotions of a real life plot line.

It’s been a year since college senior Mila Kozak watched her sister Anya’s tragic accident at a horse show in Wellington, Florida. Since then, nothing has been the same. Her relationship with her sister is as shattered as Anya’s paralyzed body. Her boyfriend of two years dumped her out of the blue and, even though she’s doing everything she can to win him back, he won’t give her the time of day. And her favorite thing in the world—show jumping—is tainted by the crippling fear she’ll end up like Anya.
Mila wants nothing more than to be her old life-of-the-party, live-in-the-moment self. But no matter what she does, she’s not that Mila anymore.
But when everything Mila holds dear is threatened yet again, will she make the jump and land where she’s meant to be?

This could be someone’s memoir; it is that realistic and powerful. While at times it seemed a little immature with a love triangle; it all made sense after a while as to why the author wrote it the way she did. There are so many real life serious topics including immigration, disability, grief, and more; but all of them are handled super respectfully. I loved everything about this book and I highly recommend.

Thanks to the author for my gift.

💫 A YA love story that spoke of the wishes of an innocent heart

💫 Mila Kodak's sister had become quadriplegic after an accident in a show-jumping competition one year ago. Since then Mila and her horse Cyrus had been taking part in various competitions.

💫 But in the background lay the tatters of her relationship with her sister, and added to that her boyfriend of 2 years Michael suddenly dumped her.

💫 And she wanted him and her old fun life back. On a chance incident with her friend Alex, she discovered that life could become interesting from unexpected quarters.

💫 Now it was all about what the heart wanted. A love triangle.

💫 This was an author request read where I downloaded the book from Kindle Unlimited.

💫 Initially, I found it a little hard to warm up to the characters. Mila was sweet and innocent, with her highs and lows. The fear of having an accident like her sister didn't hold her back. I liked that.

💫 Michael had his own reasons for break-up and they were probably valid at that age when he wanted fun and frolic without commitment. Alex was well etched; the author had given him an expanse of a generous heart along with clear thoughts about Mila.

💫 Love triangle was not for me, but the trope was well written.

💫 The side plots of friendship and bridging the bond with her sister were far more heart-warming for me. The book was a happily ever after, where all the strands were tied up well.

💫 Overall, the book was sweet and for a debut, it was surprisingly well written. 3.25stars

As a horse lover myself, I have read many books featuring horses and sometimes been disappointed by an author's inaccuracies and lack of research. This is not one of them. Indeed the author is, herself, an accomplished and highly experienced horsewoman (as well as a skilled storyteller) and it shows. Without overdoing the technicalities, she takes us into the world of competitive show jumping in the U.S., and as a UK reader, I enjoyed seeing how it compares to such events over here. If you are not a horse person, don't worry, she gives a list of 'technical' horse terms at the beginning of the book, although even without it, the story would not be difficult to follow and the characters will have you hooked.

I was totally convinced by these characters, even though to start with I felt Mila was a little too introverted and a bit selfish in her attitude to her sister, but as I got to know her, I realised just what she was going through and her courage in facing her fears despite everything she had to contend with. Alex is such a lovely, patient person and I found myself empathising with him and rooting for him.

This is a real page-turner and I found it difficult to put down (even though I am far from being a 'new adult'!) It was refreshing to find a 'clean' romance in this genre, but the romance is certainly there. As soon as I'd read it I purchased 'Off Course' which I enjoyed just as much. I am really looking forward to thed next book in the series.

Tiffany Chacon is really a wordsmith. She demonstrates a considerable skill, as she uses the young adult genre to pull back the curtain on the world of competitive show jumping. The book even comes with a QR coded YA playlist connected to the story. I had a great time reading this book. Writing in the first person, she chooses the ideal protagonist and setting; a young adult woman at the world renowned Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida. I thought the book was really well paced, and the character development was rewarding. But most of all, I was pulled totally in to scene after scene, where I was living vicariously through the main character. It was fun, and I especially enjoyed the author’s engaging description of the competitive riding action scenes. I've never jumped a horse over anything, but I was right there with the main character. I also found the dialogue between the characters delightful, and often pleasantly surprising in it's wit. I say surprising because I never would've written it that good. Eventually, I was at the "laugh-with-the-book, cry-with-the-book, shout-at-the-book phase that marks a good one. Forgive the pun, but I recommend that you jump at the chance to read it.

Trigger warning: Life altering injury

Jump starts exactly like its title! It jumps into the horse world. Horse lovers will feel right at home and love it from beginning to end! If you aren’t familiar with competitive horse jumping terminology and even if you are you may benefit from reading the provided glossary.

Milla is learning to live again after her older sister incurred a life altering injury resulting from a fall when attempting a jump. Will she be able to take her sister’s Grand Prix horse and return to the jump world? Michael her ex boyfriend broke everything off when Milla changed following the disintegration of her family. Alex, a barn worker, is present and gently supportive, but not from the same background as Milla. His mother’s illness brought him to this point in life and it’s complicated. Once Alex enters the picture, Michael decides he wants to mark his “territory.”

Will Milla recover her former smiling and happy self before it’s too late? Can she move on in life? Can she restore her relationship with her sister and other family members?

Enjoy a well written and edited read!

Oh, I never been so happy to see a love interest disappear from the spotlight - goodbye, whatever your name was…and HELLO, Alex! And good job, Mila - at finally waking up - and realizing that he’s what you really want. (And better yet, what you need and deserve!)

I thoroughly enjoyed this book - there were so many struggles to be had - the family dynamics following tragedy, the rift between the sisters, grief, sadness, and Alex’s own family struggles. So much to overcome, but doesn’t that make the breakthrough that much sweeter? And oh so sweet, it was.

I absolutely loved the friendship between Mila and Trina, the relationship between Mila and Anya, and the dynamic between Alex and Mila. Alex - (swoon) - so steadfast and unmoving.

Thank you, Tiffany, for writing a story with so many touching moments and soooo much healing. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered, but most of all, I enjoyed every moment. And you will too, if you give this one a try - trust me, you won’t be disappointed! Don’t delay, but JUMP right in to Tiffany’s world of Equestrian Dreams - horses, healing, and found family - I highly recommend it!

This was such a cute read!

We follow Mila, a college student and also a Junior Jumper. After a tragic accident that happened to her sister. Mila, who is quietly suffering by herself, cannot seem to get back to her old self. It not until her BF breaks up with her, and her plan to try and win him back, did she learn from "a friend" that she doesn't have to go back to being the old Mila, she can take everything that has happened to her and her family and become a new Mila.

I really enjoyed the character growth of Mila, and how she reestablishes the relationship with her sister. I also like the relation development between her and Alex.

There are great messages throughout the story, that people can relate to. The only thing that irritated me was the fight to get her EX back. That could have been because I was team Alex, or that I personally would of walked away from her Ex because of the stuff he said to her.

Overall, I truly enjoyed the story. I could not put it down and cannot wait to see what else is to come!

The young adult love story portrays the journey of an innocent heart trying to navigate life's complexities and choose between love, loyalty, and commitment. Although there was a prequel, the story progressed well, and the characters became more endearing as the plot developed. Mila's determination to not let the fear of her sister's accident hold her back and Alex's generous heart were particularly engaging.

Going against a parent's wishes can be challenging at this age, and it was a sign of maturity that Mila went for what was right for her. The love triangle trope between Mila, her past boyfriend Michael, and her new interest Alex was well-written, even though encouraging young people to pursue someone who has no interest in them is not ideal, albeit common at that age. The show-jumping framework was a nice touch and added depth to the story.

Overall, this sweet and clean romance is perfect for horse lovers, those who enjoy coming-of-age tales, and anyone looking for a light, engaging read.

Language: PG (6 swears, 0 “f”); Mature Content: PG13; Violence: G
In the past year, everything has changed for Mila (21yo): family expectations, confidence on her horse, and even her relationship status. At some point, she will have to make the jump from living passively to actually doing something about everything going wrong. But falling back on the familiar would be so much easier.
Through Mila’s story, Chacon takes readers through grief and forgiveness, heartbreak and hope, conforming and dreaming big. There’s a little bit of something for every reader who is struggling with their own internal conflicts to relate with. And, of course, the romance is adorable. I’m excited to see what happens with Mila and Alex in the sequel.
Mila and her family are Ukrainian; Alex and his family are Cuban. The mature content rating is for alcohol use and innuendo.

I was a bit obsessed with horses when I was 11 and 12. But that's not what makes this book so good.

I couldn't put it down. Not because it was suspenseful or had cliffhanger chapter endings (it didn't), but because I was so invested in the characters.

These characters were real. Mila's indecision and fear and sadness was so real. Alex's disappointment and persistence and care, I *felt*. The author so wonderfully conveyed the characters emotions with complexity and heart. I could understand and sympathise with all of Mila's emotions as she wrestled with her sister's accident, the changed relationship with her, her breakup with her boyfriend and her fear while jumping.

I honestly know nothing about show jumping and I haven't ridden a horse since I was a teenager, but the descriptions of riding and jumping were so immersive that it brought back wonderful memories of times spent with horses. But even if you don't like horses I'd still recommend this book.

I can't wait to read more from Tiffany.

I had hope for this book when I first started reading it. There seemed to be some emotional depth with the trauma Mila was facing due to Anya’s accident. Unfortunately though, the novel fell apart pretty quickly. The material was rather boring, and the writing was awkward with grammar mistakes and poor word choice.

Furthermore, Mila was insufferable. I was shocked by how she continued to grow more and more unlikable. It was annoying how obsessed she was with her ex-boyfriend, and her desire to get him back was pathetic and took away from her burgeoning romance with Alex. Mila also had some terribly selfish and borderline cruel thoughts about Anya.

Overall, this was an awkwardly written book with a disappointing main character. I do not recommend it.

*I received an ARC of this novel. This is my complete and honest review.*

Sweet and relatable

I really enjoyed this read. I loved horses as a kid, so it was nice to spend time with these characters and live vicariously through them.

I don't know the first thing about show jumping, but it's clear that Tiffany does. Her vocabulary and the comfort with which she describes exactly what's going on tells me she either loves jumping herself or has done excellent research.

Normally I don't like love triangles, but this one was an exception, probably because I could relate in a way. I started dating my husband even though we both knew I wasn't over my ex, but like Mila, I came to see that my husband was the right choice for me.

If you love horses, if you love friends-to-lovers, if you love it when he falls first, then give this book a read. You'll probably love it, too.

A fantastic story of hope

I really enjoyed this story, you can tell that this story was built on a factual events because it can't get anymore realistic. I loved the story with the horses because frankly horses are my favorite and seeing them and real interaction with them makes this story all the more real. The emotions displayed in this story had to come from real emotions and you can tell. This story gives hope. I highly recommend this book. I also recommend the audio book as I both read along the ebook as I listen to the audio book. The narrator was fantastic and read both male and female parts very well and put all the emotions in the reading so I do highly recommend the audio version. Thank you Tiffany Noelle Chacon for a wonderful insight.

This is a fun, exciting, easy read that is completely relatable to all- even non horse people like myself. As I read it, a sort of nostalgia swooped over me as my younger self related to so many of the main character’s feelings. With boys, and with my sisters. This book hits all the marks in young love, figuring out who you are, life’s challenges, taking risks, dreaming, etc. Tiffany has a way of making each character come to life, giving each of them a unique voice, weaving a vivid picture in my mind while I read. Without giving anything away, I’m grateful for the fairytale-esque ending because who doesn’t want a happily ever after?! I would definitely recommend this book.

What a lovely YA book. The author does such a wonderful job of incorporating the life of an equestrian, as well as the hardships and dangers. Even in the most dire of circumstances, tragedy can come with an abundance of blessings. It's hard not to fall in love with the main character, Mila, as well as her sister. Such power in helping young adults see that it's ok to advocate for themselves. Even though prior to this book I had no particular interest in horses, I surely do now. It opened my eyes to a whole new world. Thrilled that the author also included a playlist-and she did an amazing job choosing songs! Definitely a must read!

I love this book. I enjoyed reading it so much. I connected so much to Mila, the main character, and there was a big life event that affected their family that has also affected mine, but in a different way. I have never read a book that touched on this topic and even though it was so different from my life experience, I still felt seen in a way I never felt before and surprised me.

This book is also very well written. It flowed nicely and I was so immersed in the story. There were times I was cheering Mila on and times I was yelling at her to stop. This is an amazing debut novel and I cannot wait for the next book!

I absolutely loved this book. Like the title says it is definitely a sweet romance with likable and relatable characters which always makes for a great story. I also loved that it had a QR code for a prequel novella and even a sneak peek at book 2 which I cannot wait for! As someone who didn't know much about show jumping or horses in general I did not have trouble at all following along and loved that there was a glossary for horse terms. I would definitely recommend this book to both horse lovers and newbies to the horse world.

I want to say that this author's writing style is amazing and I will definitely be reading anything she writes from this point forward.

Unique insight into the Hunter/jumper world while wrapping the reader in an unsuspecting romance. Overall, this was a cute book that gives a true look into the life of an equestrian. As a fellow rider, I connected with the main female character easily.

I’d give the story line and character development a 4 star rating. However, the constant descriptions and breakdown of what is occurring (while helpful for someone outside the horse community) drew away from the storyline too much for me. I found myself skimming over those paragraphs.

so good!

The best part of this book is that it's so clearly written by someone who actually rides horses. I love it!! Now, I will say I absolutely abhor love triangles, so even though the final choice was obvious from the beginning, i did not enjoy that aspect of the book. But I think it was handled well, and was very realistic all around - in the grief and the confusion and all the messy emotions. It was tough but not overly dark. Very well written overall, I think, especially with such a tricky topic as total permanent disability. Such a gem in the indie publishing world, especially for a debut novel.

Jump is a sweet clean YA romance! I love when romances are clean. All that happens is some kissing that is actually not super descriptive which I personally very much appreciated. The hardships that Mila is going through is not your average person's problem, but Tiffany makes it super relatable! The mental health challenges are relatable, but how they came about aren't. Alex is also great! His troubles aren't something I personally deal with but I didn't feel alienated by him being an illegal immigrant. I'd recommend this book to any horse lovers and anyone who loves a sweet clean contemporary romance!

I thought that this book was beautifully written! The book takes you through Mila's story, her love for horses, and competing. Although I do not typically read books about horses or competing, I found that I was easily able to follow along with the book and the story line. Tiffany did a great job outline terms that those who are not familiar with competing can follow along easily without struggling. If you are a lover of clean romance, horses, and character building, then this book is for you!
