Janie was a single mom to a sweet two-year-old girl. Having a crush on Mac wasn’t healthy, especially when she had a kid who wasn’t his. With her ex-husband threatening her, she only has one thing to do, push Mac away.
Mac was a Daddy Dom who has had his eyes set on a certain Little, Janie and her daughter, for a while. Not wanting to push her, he kept his distance for a year but once that year was up, he was ready to prove to her that she was the right man for her.
Will Mac be able to help Janie and her daughter in time of need? Will Janie be able to trust Mac to keep her safe?
Author note: This is a relationship between two consenting adults, includes age-play, spanking/discipline scenes, and spicy scenes. If these things make you uncomfortable and you don’t like it, please don’t read it.
And I have to say I was enjoying it. This one though had me stopping. I couldn't finish it after the scene where he spanks her in the same room where her two-year told was playing. That made me sick. I'm the mother of two girls and if I was crying they always wanted to know why. If they had seen a man hitting me...
My youngest works with children that have been in traumatic situations. I helped her study for her bachelor's degree and know that the scene you wrote would be traumatizing to a child. I'm sorry, I had to say something.
I like this series, but I found Janie exhausting. I probably would have given it a 3 stars, but the more I thought about it I just couldn’t do that.
For 85% if not more, of this book she is not interested in having a relationship with Mac. She has some valid fears and thoughts, but he repeatedly told her what he though, she knows he is not one to lie or say things he doesn’t mean, but she does not tell him anything of what she is afraid of and instead tells him multiple times she will give him a chance with no intentions of actually doing that.
Mac comes on very strong her, which might be both too much to quick and what Janie needs, especially seeing him treating her daughter as his own, but she is so blinded by her own thoughts it does not help his cause.
And it got so increadibly repetitive. Her reasons being listed again and again. Her not ending it (and she couldhave safeworded and told him to leave her alone and he would have done it) or giving him a fair chance. It felt cruel, exhausting and when they finally got together I wasn’t sure I even wanted that for him anymore…
Mac didn't seem very dominant at the beginning. He was just too unsure acting. Waffle-y. He got very dominant by the end, finally. Yay! Janie kept saying that she and Mac could never be together because no man would want someone else's child, and that got real old, real fast when she was still saying it ninety percent of the way through. There was surprise info that seemed to come out of thin air which was nice, but jolting. And then there was the unbelievable parts; ie: like Janie getting a bare-bottom spanking with her two year old in the room and the kid wasn't upset or fazed about it, like it happened all the time- not; and the toddler getting hurt at the end they they ship her off to the aunt's house overnight. Huh?! And this was the first DD/lg book I've read where the Little is a mom. It only half worked in this story for me, but only because her daughter was only two. And what happens as her daughter grows up and her mom is still acting like a little child? Janie seems to slip in and out of Little space way too easily, all the time. How embarrassing for the kid. Little play should be kept totally separated from adulting. But that's just my opinion. Sorry. Like I said- just okay.
Parts of it were good, but honestly I didn’t like Janie.
I don’t know what it is with this author, but she always writes littles as being almost stupid. This book wasn’t any different. Janie has lived next door to Mac for years with her two year old daughter Eleanor. When she first met him she was married to her ex Donald, who treat her quite badly and he didn’t want his daughter. After a couple of years Mac decides to make a move on Janie. Janie won’t let Mac into their lives, as she’s convinced no man will ever take someone else’s baby on. That after a couple of years he would make her give up her baby for adoption! 😱 Err what now? This is where it gets silly. Janie who has a successful career editing books, suddenly becomes an idiot. 😡😡
Janie’s baby Ellie, is poorly one night and she completely freaks out and runs round to Mac’s house with bare feet and barely dressed. She doesn’t even take Eleanor’s temperature! Then her ex comes back and demands his house back, and her to move out. So she’s lived there after the divorce, RENT FREE, and never guessed that he would do that??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Oh for crying out loud!
The writing isn’t bad apart from from the usual things like Janie saying I’s not tired. 😡😡 The timeline on Janie’s divorce is completely wrong as well. It wasn’t years after her divorce that Mac pursued her.
Pinky and Made are neighbours that are attracted to each other
Mandy lives next to Mac who also runs a local BDSM Club with his friends who are all ex military, doctors, police and bodyguards. The couple have lived side by side and Mac was Janeys ex husband that had cheated on her when she had just given birth to her daughter.
Mac has been in love with her for years but has allowed a little time to pass so she has time to recover from the heartache she suffered, her daughter that she loves so fiercely her ex husband whose child it was asked her to terminate the pregnancy leave her at a home she knew she had to divorce this selfish man if this was what his attitude was like.
I guarantee that readers Will be captivated by this simply wonderful book, the characters and the plot are beautifully written
Daddy’s Litle Mama Bear is a delightful age-gap and age-play romance penned by Everly Raines. In it she features the romantic journey of Janie and Mac. Mac and Janie are neighbors. He is protective and possessive of her. However, due to her abusive marriage, she is quite vulnerable. He, patiently, puruses her. He is protective and possessive of Janie and her daughter Eleanor. Janie’s ex-husband continues to make her life miserable. Will Janie recover from her ex’s treatment of her and Eleanor? Can Mac keep her safe? Will his attention, care and understanding help to bring down the emotional walls Janie erected? To find out, you must read this book.
Ms. Raines does a great job utilizing literary devices. Her dialog, both conversational and internal monolgoues are outstanding. Readers arner a better understanding of their character traits, their backstories, their pain and their happiness. The lead characters are multi-dimensional. The secondary characters are interesting and contribute to the plot’s movement. Nicely done,
I enjoyed this story but it wasn’t my favorite of the series. I loved Mac. He is so patient and determined to love Janie and Ellie. He just knows that she will come around eventually and never gives up. Janie mostly was just frustrating. I understand in the beginning why she was so guarded and hesitant. She had been hurt pretty badly by her ex. Most of the book though was Mac doing everything he could to show her he loved her and Janie just clinging to her belief she was not worthy for no reason. The final 20% of the book things finally move forward and there is some spicy time and a HEA. Overall it was an enjoyable read.
Jane is having trouble with the idea that Mac would be interested in her and her daughter Elenor. Her ex husband didn’t want any thing to do with his own daughter why would Mac when she wasn’t even of his blood. Mac is going to prove to Jane that he wants forever with her and her daughter and hopes that she will agree to move children. The Jane’s ex starts to make an appearance again and he isn’t being very nice about it. He does some terrible things to Jane. It is up to Mac to prove that she will always be safe with him.
I enjoyed this book. I look forward to continuing the series. I just wish that the happily ever after was longer. I feel that the last two books in this series have had shorter conclusions. Where we are seeing the couples resolutions on page be way shorter than others. But I enjoyed their dynamic and how they had a family dynamic and kink ddlg dynamic as well.
The push and pull love story in "Daddy’s Little Mama Bear" was gripping, and I couldn’t put it down. The happy ending had me in tears of joy after the long slow burn and inner battle of the FMC. Everly Raine has quickly become my favorite author, and I can’t wait to read other books as she releases new ones and find other series by her. ❤️ This book is an emotional rollercoaster that you won't want to miss!
Such a heartfelt Ddlg story, quite relatable nowadays unfortunately for a lot of single moms out there. Mac is the dream: good looking but especially kind, clever, patient, hardworking and so respectful and conscious. I had to stop quite a few times reading this story because I have been in a long abusive marriage and went through a bad breakup and still healing. It's a beautiful, sweet happy ending with three wounded souls finding home in each other.
This book was hard to put down, I lost sleep over reading it. Daddy's little mama bear shows a hero that accepts a mom(little)and her kid has his own and will do everything in his power to protect them. I love the heroine protectiveness over her kid and I love the heros fierceness over his little and her kid. Great addition to a great series.
Daddy's Little Mama Bear by Everly Raine is a sweet second chance romance story featuring a single mother Janie and her neighbor Mac. I really enjoyed the storyline and how the story unfolds. When Janie's ex husband Donald stirs trouble, Mac readily steps in to protect his Janie and her baby. He has been patient, kind and compassionate to them and left no stone unturned to protect her.
They have the same conversations repeatedly through the entire book, how stupid can a mfc be written? The ex-husband’s behavior is absurd. Janie is written as a complete idiot. None of it makes any sense. I’m not reading any more of these books. I can’t believe I made myself finish this.
I love this series but Janie was not one of my favorites, Mac on the other hand stole the show!! He was so patient with Janie and so damn protective of both Ellie (Janie's daughter) and her!! He is absolutely everything and I am so happy he got his happy ending!!! I can't wait for the next book!!!
It was highly disappointing. I couldn't get to a point where I liked the MFC. The storyline just needed something deeper then the poor me attitude the MFC had it got so excruciating I started scanning just to finish the book.
As usual Everly did an amazing job. I felt Mac came off a little too strong- sometimes acting in a way that bordered on consent. Janie was wishy washy. Not my favorite from the series but still a decent read.
Really enjoyed this sweet slow burn romance about Janie and Mac. Janie was super reluctant to let Mac help because of her daughter but Mac was so patient w her and so good with her daughter. Lots of emotions. A+-
Silly age play story. Janie makes me disappointed. You'd think she would know more about her own divorce! So many word usage errors, punctuation errors. The plot is good but the story is lacking something.
I loved this book—truly I did. I really loved how patient Mac was with a sassy indecisive Janie. I really was so happy when she decided to take a chance on Mac and the thing with the ex husband created a little confusion but it worked out really well.
Kindle - honestly disappointed with this book, there were so many avenues the fmc could have gone down which would have made so much sense but didn’t take. Doesn’t live up to the Mama Bear title at all.
Almost perfect but too much negative thinking on Janie's side. It was sweet, interesting, parts were funny, and a brave hero in Mac. Handsome, strong, kind, thoughtful and a little Possessive.
This one was so good! Loved having an FMC that was closer to my age and with a kiddo. This dynamic rarely adds that depth so it was really refreshing to read that balance! Such an amazing read highly recommend!
Janie and Mac! Omg yall this was so good! There was way more plot than smut and it was amazing! It wasn’t super high angst, but enough to make you keep reading!
