VeloraGrowing up Velora was an outsider, a nothing, worth less than a human, and treated like her alpha's slave. Only when her goddess blesses her with a wolf did she escape her alpha and his twin sons.
But just as she recovers from her traumatising past, her mates and former torturers reclaim her as theirs.
Will she be able to make them pay for all they’d made her go through?
Asher and IsaiahFinding their mate should’ve been the most joyous day of their lives, yet when they are faced with their past mistakes, they know they are in for a fight to regain Velora’s trust and her love.
Tanja is a spicy romance author who loves to write about strong female characters, loving love interests, and the occasional vampires and werewolves.
Besides writing she is a mother and nursing student, with a hectic life and an ever-changing work schedule. Writing is her escape from reality in which she can let go of all the stress that comes with managing a family of three and balancing work and private life.
This book is well worth the read 😊 and definitely one of the better books in this genre imo.
Velora is a great character who really comes into her own from the beginning when she is the down trodden pact reject … the human girl who is basically the alpha families slave, into becoming the packs Luna and one of the most powerful members of the pack.
Usually I find the forgiveness part gets a too short gloss over, but Velora made Asher and Isaiah really work for it 😈.
Her time with Heath and his pact were what she needed to grow into her own.
My only suggestion would have been to have more time at the beginning of the book when she was first with with the pack to really make you feel her plight and less time to the middle with Heaths pack.
My suggestion is read it!!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
There was so much potential with this. Very disappointing. This didn't need to be 500+ pages. The first 150 was her with another man that wasn't even her mate. It could've easily been summarized. I could not bring myself to like the twins. I don't understand this book at all. So many plot holes and unanswered questions. Lots of things were mentioned like we were suppose to know this information already. They never really worked through their grief and issues or talked it out. They just wanted to put their past behind them. It only felt like they wanted her because their biology made them. Barely any mention of why they love her or worship her. She claimed to hate them for what they put her through but after a couple days with her old pack and shes in bed with them? She 100% had a found family with the Howler pack. Her Crystal pack was barely her family. Half of them didn't like her and the other half she barely interacted with. I just don't understand. Not even going to mention the writing. Soo many things wrong with this, I could be here all day. Honestly, this book just pissed me off.
I was extremely excited to have received this as an advanced reader copy from the author for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
While there are parts of this book that were intriguing and had me engrossed in what I was reading, there was so much that was just “filler”. I don’t have a problem reading something that is 400-500 pages long, but when you go through it and almost half of that is like having someone fill the void of silence is unfortunate.
Velora, while still young, has been through some traumatic experiences. But I feel like after being with the Howlers for so long, once she finds out who her “mates” are, still handles things with a level of immaturity that doesn’t match the strong warrior she’s become. She avoids situations and people and then out of nowhere has them by the throat up against a wall. She’s either shy and timid or she’s an “alpha” warrior. There’s not much in between and I would love for her character to be more developed. As for Asher and Isaiah, they almost seemed like secondary characters instead of the MMC’s.
Overall, it was just an “ok” read. Not a lot of character building and the spice would’ve been spicing had the FMC and MMC’s caught my attention. But I do encourage others to read it and form their own opinions. Just because it wasn’t a hit with me, does not mean it won’t be with someone else.
Where to begin…. I thought this was going to be a normal shifter book and then booooy was I wrong. The dynamics between all the relationships kept you on your toes. I loved Velora every step of the way and the way you watch her grow throughout the book. I may or may not have cried later in the book .. shhh when you get there you will know exactly which part I am talking about. If you love shifter romances that aren't very typical READ THIS!!!

I absolutely loved this story! It made me laugh and cry, it was so good. Everything that Velora goes through and fights to overcome is incredibly inspiring. My heart broke for her when the twins found her and she had to leave her safe space. It also broke for the twins when they had to deal with their conflicting emotions about Ely. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
I recieved this book as an arc read and I loved every minute of it. I love werewolves and this was a great read little long but over all great. This is a must read!!!
Damn, I have such mixed feelings, the first half of the book was fabulous! You could really feel all the emotions, Velora's and Heath's. You could see how much she was struggling with dealing with her abuse and rape and how Heath was broken over he loss of her Luna. The author did a good job setting him up as the OM too and showing they were really just Band-Aids for each other, Heath still missed and was in love with his mate who had died. Now the sex scenes where he pretended like she was his dead mate? yeeeeeeeeeah, that was uncomfortable for me and didn't feel necessary. I love her and Rayan's friendship, it was just the best! Seeing her learn her wolf and the bond she has with the children of the pack makes you really feel connected to her. That pack *felt* like her pack. When the twins finally found her and she realized they were her mates, you could completely feel and understand her heart break. Both at them being her mates and also having to leave her safe space where everyone loved her and she fit. Also, the way she left Heath was so emotional and heartbreaking, the fact that he had to do what was best for the her and the pack by sending her back, even though he promised her he would protect her hit very hard.
If the book had kept going like that it would have been a 5 star. Unfortunately, that's where it started going down hill. At first it was great to see her get her payback and make them really work for it, completely approved of the grovel and I appreciate that they fully acknowledged that *they* fucked up and they never got angry with her really, though Asher was upset and impatient at times. When she hands Asher his ass during combat was also excellent. But then, it's like "pissed off and bitchy" became her whole personality! Everything that made her *her* at the beginning of the book seemed to change and instead she was just this bitter angry person. That all would have been fine if there had been growth and development from that point for both her and the people of the pack, but to the end she still seemed angry and bitter. Also there were a few people who didn't get a satisfying conclusion IMO. First of all, the whole thing with Ely was just....it's also like he had a personality transplant! He went from being an asshole who raped and tormented her to suddenly being this contrite hero who sacrifices himself for her. The way that whole thing was handled was off. He didn't even remember it? Whaaaat? Then he was beside himself upset which didn't fit his whole character. He wasn't subject to the mate Bond, so he would have not changed in any appreciable way. But okay, let's go with that for a minute...her level of anger at him and need for vengeance was, unbelievably given his actions, *scarily* over the top. Yes, what he did was completely reprehensible and caused her pain, but after he sacrificed himself for her, not only was she not grateful for it, she was *pissed* he died and wished for eternal suffering for him to the point she seemed psycho. The twins conflicted feelings were a little bit more normal, but also, it didn't feel like they were truly mad enough for what he did, with Isiah at one point thinking "It was only one night and he doesn't remember it" 😳😳😳 Unbelievable! Especially considering the mate bond. They were ready to rip apart a man who treated her well because he touched her, yet they made excuses for the dude who not only touched her, but FORCIBLY raped her and then when he died...the way they acted like it was some great tragedy while she's over there plotting his death in the afterlife...there wasn't enough realistic conflict or resolution from that. Which was part of the frustration with the second half. There was no satisfying push and pull. Pretty much she did all the pushing and pulling from the moment they came back and they became these ridiculous simps that just did whatever she said with no real personality. So while Ely seemed like he was OVERLY punished (shocking that's even possible), you have Larissa who didn't get nearly enough! Not only did she get a great mate, she stayed a bitch and got no real payback for it other than Velora intimidating her. It didn't feel like enough, especially since she's still just around as a part of the pack in the end. Same thing for the old Alpha and Luna whose fault it was she was in the situation she was in. No one other than Ely and the twins seemed to receive any actual payback. It was really hard to swallow that she left a harmonious pack of people who loved her to move back to a pack with all kinds of strife and conflict to the very end. She had to be around all these people who tortured her for the rest of her life and we didn't see her really make any friends or ever feel a real sense of community being built. In fact, MOST of the second half seemed hurried with so many things left unresolved. Which I get seeing as how the book was running into 500+ pages, she wanted to wrap it up, but they gave more time to her healing than the ACTUAL story. The first part needed to be cut out if that was the case or preferably the story expanded to at least one, maybe two follow up books to really flesh out and develop the main characters and their relationship conflicts and dynamics. At the end, it felt almost depressing and not very happy. Yes they end up together, but it feels like she was swallowed by the bond because she had no other choice instead of any real true love or relationship development. The fact that the epilogue ends with her holding Heath's hand is just...what? It felt like everyone just got such a raw deal. She is stuck with a pack she hates, Heath is stuck without a mate or anyone to keep him grounded and is pretty much assured death in a few years, his kids no longer have the stability they needed. I guess yes she ended up with the twins, but it just wasn't nearly as satisfying as it should have been. It's so disappointing that it couldn't stay consistent. I may check out one of the authors other books though because the writing was well done and I really enjoyed quite a bit of this book.

There is a lot that was wrong in this story for me. First off. This is not a romance. It’s women’s fiction. The fmc ends up with the twins and not the other alpha. There is so much wrong w this plot and story. So fucking much. It was a disjointed mess that tried to do too much and yet did so little. 500 pages of straight up MESS.
The fmc spends half the book cuddling up to another alpha. Yes he was broken and yes he could never truly love another bc his mate died. Whatever. It was lame. Build a friendship WITHOUT the intimacy. That would have worked better for this plot. It could have been a big bro little sis type of friendship. But instead the author tried and failed to create an intimate sort of “not a relationship but a relationship” sort of thing by the two of them. It was gross. And her bff was some other warrior. I did like their friendship but again, I think the plot could have handled the fmc building friendships w many of the Howler packs wolves wo any romance involved.
Sad sex scenes? CHECK.
When Vel tells Heath to “use her” and close his eyes to pretend like he is Fucking his dead mate. THEN HE STARTS TO LOSE HIS HARD ON WHEN HE HEARS HER MOANS. Further in the story another similar sad sex scene is happening where Vel hs now learned to BE QUIET WHILE THEY TRY AND DO THE NASTY.
Sis lost the plot for me right there with all of this shit. So. Gross.
So then her old pack’s alpha twins end up finding her at this pack and discovering they are mates.
So after building a life and a lame ass sad relationship w Heath she is forced to leave the other alpha she had a relationship with and go w the twins who bullied her for years. Super fun.
Even at the end, she really never warms up to these twins. And as a reader I was never convinced any of these men she got involved with ever loved her and she def didn’t love them.
Her arc went south for me. She grew in strength etc but then just turned angry and bitter. If this author thinks being angry and bitter is how a strong woman should be. Again. Gross.
The flow and writing was off. Jumped ahead at times when the reader would have liked some more details. Told us a lot of what happened instead of showing. The writing felt like a wattpad.
Simply put, this is two stories in one that don’t work together. At all.
Sex. All of it. Lame. Forced. Gross.
Mismarketing the genre of this book? Wrong.
KU ✅at least I didn’t pay for this shit.
No MM✅
Twin sandwich sex✅
Wolf shifters✅
Abused fmc who then mates her bullies✅
Abused fmc who has a weird unhealthy intimate relationship for half the book with another man✅
Found another author I will never read again✅
I disliked this story. It had potential but was a disappointment to read.

I love reading fated mates and bully (or, in this case, bullies😉) to lovers trope, and this book definitely has both. Overall, it was a super fun read that I couldn’t seem to put down (you know until I had to force myself to go to sleep🤣)!
The main character, Velora, was awesome!! She is everything I enjoy reading about in a female character. She is badass, emotional, independent, and straightforward about how she feels about someone or something. I think she is definitely an ask for forgiveness rather than permission sorta girl😂.
While there were some slower chapters in this book, the first half was a whirlwind of emotions that had me crying and rooting for Velora. I can't even tell you how excited I was when she found her way to the Howler's pack! Between Alpha Heath, the warriors, and her best friend Rayan, I fell in love with how they supported Velora’s character growth and showed her that she is stronger and more beautiful than she could have imagined! The Howlers are definitely one of my favorite packs that I have read.
It's difficult to fully explain(without spoiling anything), but I really enjoyed how Velora uses her newfound love for herself to teach her fated mates who she really is and forces them to grovel! I think the scenes between Velora, Isaiah, and Asher are really cute, and I even enjoyed reading the🌶️ scenes. To this point, I think Tanja Longoria did a great job of not making the romantic side of things take over the plot, but instead used it to show the growth of Velora and her mates. I still think there was more groveling they could have done before things heated up, and I feel like some of the characters' mistreatment was overlooked (mainly from her mates' parents and their previous friends). However, in the end, I understood where it was coming from and appreciated how it connected to Velora overcoming her fears of rejection and taking control of her life. One last thing that I really loved was the epilogue in which Velora goes back to visit the Howlers. I feel like Tanja Longoria gave the readers a sense of peace through that chapter (at least I know it did for me!) and made me feel like everything had worked itself out ❤️
If you made it this far, thanks for reading my thoughts, and I recommend reading this book yourself! In the meantime, I can't wait to go read the first two books in this series because every mention of them in this book had me so intrigued!

Rating: 5/5 I received eARC for my honest opinion.
Tanja Longoria, I love and hate you so much… You broke my heart with this book and left me on an emotional roller-coaster but, thank you so much for picking me back up and wiping my tears afterwards.
I have read all of Tanja books and they have all been amazing but let me tell you when I say that this book was AMAZING, I mean it. I do have to say to make sure that you know the trigger warnings before going into this book: Rape, Emotional abuse, Domestic Slavery, Torture, and Death. However, there are so many great things in this book: Fated Mates, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, an AMAZING FEMALE character, and a lot of groveling.
I loved this plot right away, even though it was heartbreaking. I knew that Longoria wouldn’t leave us in that kind of pain but to see where the MFC came from, her journey in life was amazing. You will be there with Velora through the darkest days of her life and then to watch her grow, learning to trust again, making sure that she wouldn’t become a victim again, learning to trust in oneself and to become an independent woman. She really is the top MFC for me this year. I already know it. She is so sweet, loving and to get to see her strong and running her own pack (basically) was 100 thumbs up.
I liked that she didn’t bow down to her mates, but instead she made them work for it and I mean all of it. Her support, her love, her trust and more. I loved getting to see her shine like she was meant to, and I loved that Asher and Isaiah were completely understanding about it. They understood where they messed up in the past and what they had to do to make it up to her. I liked the fact that the twins were not the same in different situations, but no matter what they were very much on the same side when it came to making up for their mess-ups, and showing their Luna just how much they love her.
I loved Heath and his children in the beginning of the book, they really helped her heal and become the woman/wolf she always was, but for me it was the brotherly relationship that she had with Rayan that was so amazing.
I could go on and on about this book, but instead if you love books with fated mates, overcoming trauma, learning to love oneself, great plot, and great characters you really need to read this book.
I want to thank Tanja Longoria and Booksirens for the opportunity to review this book.
#CrystalLuna is the third entry in @tanjalongoria's #StandAlone series, #FatedMates, available on May 1, 2024. I enjoyed seeing Velora grow throughout the novel, coming into her own strength and personality.
Description ✏️ Following the death of her adoptive parents Velora, presumed to be a human girl, must live with her adoptive pack's Alpha and family. Treated like a domestic slave, Vel experiences emotional and physical abuse at the hands on the future Alphas and their friends.
Following an unforgivable act, Vel is gifted her own Wolf by the Goddess, and flees. Little does she know, she will be back there sooner than she would like.
Thoughts 💭 I love the time Vel spent with Heath and her new adoptive pack. She was able to grow, heal, and find self worth with them. Her relationships with the Howler pack are some of my favourite in the book.
I would have been happy for Vel to stay with the Howlers except that she and Heath, despite their love and care for one another, would never be able to emotionally fulfill one another.
The tension surrounding Vel's return is handled well. The repairs coming slowly. Unfortunately, some of the wrongs were not able to be addressed due to plot points, but in this Longoria granted herself the chance to talk about the conflict and pain associated with the inability to obtain justice or reparations.
Asher and Isaiah had a lot of ground to make up, some of which they still have not in my opinion, though the seem committed to rectifying their relationship with Vel. I loved their throuple dynamic, with Vel playing Switch.
The Crystal Wolves grew to appreciate Vel through their trials with the rogues- lucky for them, she had the chance to gain the skills she needed to stand as a warrior, and strong Luna, before she returned to a place she very well could have rejected.
Tropes ✔️Fated mates wolf shifters ✔️Forced Proximity ✔️Bully/enemies to lovers ✔️Ménage with twin men ✔️Badass heroine ✔️Lots of groveling
I received this book as an ARC read for my honest opinion.
Honestly, this is one of the best books I have read this year! From chapter one Tanja had me captivated by how she wrote Velora and what she went through at the hands of her pack. Getting to watch her come into her own as a woman in the beginning of the book and grow into a strong, capable character despite her setbacks in early life was inspiring. It would have been very easy for her to have been portrayed unconvincingly and too “perfectly”. But Tanja showed that while our past still bothers us, we can still be strong, independent, and capable.
Velora wasn’t the only well written character however. Throughout the book, there are wonderful side characters that make up her found family. Each one has their own stories and personality that makes them special and lovable in their own rights. Honestly, I’d love to see the series expanded with a mate for her best friend or maybe Curtis. *hint hint, nudge nudge Tanja*
And then, of course, we get to the meat and potatoes. When Asher and Isaiah find Vel, the real party starts (because this book hasn’t been fantastic up to this point, and yes I’m being 100% sarcastic). By this time Velora has grown up into a badass, and has been going through twists and turns and plots I’m not going to spoil with her found family that changes her life drastically for the better in comparison to how her life was when we first meet her in chapter one. And then, the twins. Oh the twins.
Vel goes through life changes again when the twins come into the picture, again I won’t spoil the plot and give everything away. But there’s definitely a transition period when the threesome realize they are mates. From the beginning it is full of angst and sarcasm and a lot of feelings, which I absolutely loved watching unfold. The more hell Vel gave them the more I cheered, but at the same time I was also secretly pulling for the twins. By the time I got to the spicy scenes, I was sad that it was so close to the end of the book cause I needed more of their relationship after she finally started forgiving them and giving into the bond.

Velora Bullying made her the strong Luna she became
Isaiah Alpha one of the pack, calm and controlled
Asher Alpha two, impatient and cocky
Strong woman and her alphas
Velora’s life takes a turn short after her 18th birthday. Years of bullying, treated poorly and one awful altercation have her running away from her pack. While trying to survive she lands on the ground from a different pack. One that takes her in and gives her all the respect, love and home she always searched for. A place to belong to. Velora has a life, a task and friends. Years flew by and she became a full member of said pack Until one day the alphas from her former pack stopped by on their way home. Asher and Isaiah, her former bullies, who immediately realize they have found her mate. When all three get to know who it is, Velora’s world is about to fall apart. She doesn’t want to leave her actual pack and definitely not with these two. But being a mate and a luna, she has no choice. And former shy and weak Velora becomes the strong, cold and hard warrior who shows her unwillingness to be there. Asher and Isaiah have a lot to do to convince Velora that they are sorry and are willing to do everything to try to make her happy. And with weeks going on, it seems that that might never happen. Until one day, one event and new enemies turn the tables. Can these three finally become the unit they are supposed to be and find their happiness ever after with each other. I could relate to Velora even if she seemed very hard towards the twins, were they not her biggest issues. I really was a fan of Isaiah. His calmness and underlying control were sexy. Asher was more cocky and slightly impatient, which led to funny and some steamy scenes. When they finally drifted to the same page, the story came to the conclusion it was supposed to be.
This was weird. The whole first part was her "healing and growing" in a new home after years of slavery and abuse. She forms an unhealthy and slightly gross connection with an Alpha Widower nearly twice her age who plans to off himself once his son is old enough to take over. That should have been skipped and kept to the sweet, platonic relationship. The cuddling and sleeping in the same bed could have happened without the rest. The other people in the pack are wonderful for her and help her train, grow and learn her strength. That was perfect.
Then see Her abusers passing through and finding her and because they have a "mate bond" instantly think an "Im sorry for forcing you into slavery, but now we wanna fuck soooo?" would be good enough. No actual work is put into this and her pack literally forces her to leave knowing what these men and their family did to her.
The author also tried to make a rapist a redeemable character. Absolutely not. He should have suffered and they should have sent his corpse off like the scum he was rather than act like he was some hero. An absolute epic, gross fail. That should have been the "Reject the mates" moment when they basically glossed over that they were besties with a monster.
This was not a enemies to lovers nor was it a love story in general. She never actually warms up to them, she hates them and rightfully so. She still hates them by the end but the "bond" forced her to accept them and they made her donthe full bond against her will. They literally barely took any time for her to trust them. She got 1 summer to "get over" 10 years of slavery and abuse. The twins never redeemed themselves, they never actually cared about her as a person until the bond made them and even then it was superficial. This should have ended with her torching the Alpha house, the old alpha couple and the lot of them being punished and refusing the ceremony/mating and starting fresh. The ending left you feeling like the poor girl never got her happy ending and that all these awful people were rewarded. She deserved justice and a do over.

O.M.G. This book at me in a choke hold! I stayed up for two nights until 4 or 5am because I had such a hard time putting it down. I hate that this is a standalone book because I want more of these characters so badly.
Velora has had a hard life living underneath her bullies. So when she turns 18 and an opportunity arrives, she takes it and runs. She comes across another pack. Over the course of three years, this alpha and pack helps her heal her trauma. Heath and his children are my favorite! Caleb and Mia are so adorable and likable, they made me smile so much. But, Rayan has a place in my heart forever ♥️ He's so considerate and caring and such a protector. I want him as a best friend!
Then there are the twins! I didn't think I would like them as much but boy was I wrong! Isaiah is personally my favorite twin, being quiet, motivated, a leader, and well spoken. But Asher, his boyish personally will always make you smile.
Velora goes through such a journey with the incident, her trauma, being weak, but then learning to trust again, train, build muscle, and becoming a strong, independent woman. She is such a badass character, but also knows when to call for help. She is such a great Luna!
I legit cried. That's how good of a book this is. It takes a lot for me to cry and I teared up twice in this book. It hit me in the feels so hard, I'm now going to read all of Tanja's books!
Okay, I ATE THIS UP!!! I was really craving a romantasy/paranormal romance type vibe and so starting this I had high hopes, and they lived up to every single one 🤩🤩🤩 at first I gotta admit I was kind of nervous on how much Tanja was making me love Heath when I knew he was not the endgame MMC, but it worked. The whole thing worked so well.
Velora is left orphaned after both her parents pass away, leaving her in the hands of the alpha and his family to care for her in their absence. She ends up running away from her “adopted” pack, after years of mistreatment by the alpha and his family. On her own she finds her wolf, becoming a rogue. Accidentally stumbling upon the Howlers pack, she is immediately accepted and taken care of. It takes them years to help mend her broken mentality that was caused by her previous pack. Seeing Velora thrive and flourish with the Howlers was everything I could have hoped for. Being that she was under 18 with her previous pack, no one knew she had a wolf, or mates. The twins visit and immediately sense her as theirs. Taking her back to their pack, they begin their groveling 😍🙊❤️🔥 the twins are so adorable honestly, I loved them. I do wish the groveling and development between Velora and the twins was longer, I feel like we got a good amount with Heath, but either way, I still absolutely loved it so it worked as is 🤩 I definitely need more!!!
What to expect: ❤️🔥 Fated Mates 🐺 Wolf Shifters 🪄 Forced Proximity 👿 Enemies to Lovers 💝 Groveling
I received this book as an ARC. I read it in one day, I couldn't put it down.
Always read trigger warnings.
Let me start by saying I love Werewolf RH books. This book gave me just that, a good werewolf reverse harem. I feel like the author did a good job developing the relationship. All of the relationships were done well in this book.
The story was good, and it flowed well from one point to the next. We get a decent timeline and time jumps are handled well. It can be hard to jump forward in a story and not lose some of the cohesion in the story.
This is a slow burner. The spice level is good and once you get to it, it is so well done. In this book we get MF to start, but it is slow and I admit this is where I lost some respect for our female lead. I know why things were done the way they were but I was not a fan.
The second half of the book is where things picked up for me. The author tied up some things and left somethings a little unsettled, but this was for a good reason. I feel like the story did have a good ending but it could go on if there was a need to write more.
Well i'll be damned! Never have i ever thought i'd like a werewolf thing but here we are. This was super fun! The writing is captivating, it started reading as a sort of cinderella retelling which i loved, plus it was HOT The smutt and plot and character building were balanced and cohesive. Not many negatives tbh i only got confused a little bit sometimes which may only be my issue; the plot felt a little bit circumspect at times. As a whole now looking back at it mostly only two issues stand up to me, first being the pacing of the story, the first part (her being abused) then the middle (finding the howlers) And then her building back trust and actually becoming their luna. They feel divided and don't flow smoothly. They in themselves are smooth. But all three of them together feel divided. And second. I personally would have liked to be with her in the first part a bit more, this is a long story surrounded with her abuse and recovery from it. But we didn't live through it with her. It was fast and moved too quickly Abuse.shift.run away It didn't feel smooth and natural where as a reader i'd be cheering her on running away, Her shift felt sudden and abrupt. But it was still very enjoyable especially for someone that is not into werewolves at all 3.5
I really like Velora’s character. She really has a great recovery arc and comes into her own/discovers herself. I really enjoyed all of the Howler characters and liked their pack dynamics.
Honestly after how it started with Ely I wasn’t sure if Isaiah and Asher could really come back and redeem themselves in my eyes. As I was reading, I wrote multiple notes saying how upset I was going to be that this wasn’t a rejected mates/second chance mate story.
The author definitely made it clear that this wasn’t going to be the case and that it wasn’t possible, but that didn’t make me any less sad when the Twins came and discovered Velora was their mate.
I think the beginning of the book and the story development around Velora’s recovery from her treatment by the Crystal Wolves, the alphas, the beta, etc. was really great and well done. The story sped up a little too much for me once the alphas were reintroduced and I don’t think we got enough redemption out of them or Ely. While I don’t think Ely could’ve ever really redeemed himself after what he did, I think it was kind of the easy way out to use his character the way that the author did.
I also have a lot of questions about the whole rogue story line and feel like there were a lot more new questions introduced than there were answers. I wish we got a few more answers about Velora’s past and parents.
Really enjoyed reading this! I liked the lead female, I found her insightful, relatable, reading about her experiences was gripping and emotional. There actually wasn’t a moment where I found her annoying or frustrating which is actually amazing! I loved following her journey, coming out of her shell, exploring and learning who she is, making dear friends and developing those deep relationships - it was so rewarding. I liked the lead males and their growth. It was really sweet watching their efforts and seeing the bond grow. It was a good storyline, personally some moments dragged a little, but I think overall the book had a good pace with enough action sprinkled in. The spicy scenes were good, a few moments I had to reread to get the exact position etc. There were enough spicy scenes to keep me happy (though I’m always happy for more haha)! Got an advanced copy of the book for free, and I’m so so grateful for the author to share her book with me, the book definitely made me happy to read, and I would recommend this satisfying book to others to read
Great Read!! I love shifter Romances and this one definitely did not disappoint. Velora is an orphaned girl in a world that females do not get wolves. She doesn't have any traits of a shifter, where as most women do. She is treated poorly by her pack minimizing her to a slave human. Things only get worse before her fate changes, and she takes matters into her own hands. After much healing another unfortunate circumstance to add to the pile brings some of those who had once wronged her groveling at her feet. This book has a great storyline and it really pulls you in different directions. You love and hate characters, and some you love to hate. There are plot twists, and heart wrenching moments. The FMC carries a lot of weight on her shoulders, and when she gets the her lowest, she becomes a bada$$. It is a multi POV spicy novel with quite a few tropes and triggers. Let's talk about them:
Tropes Bada$$ FMC Twins Alpha Fated Mates Force Proximity RH/Why Choose
Note: check trigger warnings. Although it isn’t graphic, there IS a very sensitive on page scene that may be triggering.
I could not have foreseen the depth of growth this book has, and I loved every second!
From the outset, this story highlights a strong heroine who rises above her deepest trauma, while also being raw. Although I can’t speak to relatability, her attitude through the book is realistic and her strength in her vulnerability is a refreshing change!
I loved this story, and how it was developed. The characters faced real challenges, with a bittersweet end that really makes you appreciate the story all the more!
This story contains yearning, found family, resilience, spicy, banter, humor, and a wonderful set of characters in a great plot!
I’m so happy I got to read this one!
Thank you to Booksirens for the opportunity to receive and ARC for this honest and voluntary review!
The book was an intense read, in all the right ways. The plot was well-written deliverying everything I’ve been craving in a book; Friendship, hatred, love, heated scenes, fights, training and then theme of found family. I shed some tears at times, especially empathizing with the FMC’s past struggles and her transformation into a strong independent FMC. We all love a strong demale lead don’t we? ;) This was my first take into werewofl-themed book and it did not dissapoint. The writing is solid and the narritve is engaging, although I sometimes got a bit lost due to the shifting points of view. However I was able to pick up and continue smoothly. The pacing was a slow burn, intensifying my anticipation for what would happen next and when she would meet her mate. I was genunely shocked by some of the plot twist. Overall, Crystal luna delivered a satisfying and captivating experinece .
The beginning of this book hit hard, leaving me feeling crushed. But when Velora crossed paths with Heath, it was like a ray of hope in the darkness. Still, I couldn't shake my doubts about their relationship—sometimes it felt like a lifeline, other times, I questioned if it was healthy.
The twins definitely had it coming with all the groveling they had to do. Velora, well, she had her moments where she came off a bit harsh, but given what she'd been through, who could blame her?
What truly stood out to me was the depth of emotion conveyed throughout the book. While some may label it as a bullying narrative, I perceive it more as a story of redemption, growth, and a lot of groveling, underscored by moments of genuine vulnerability and reconciliation.
Overall, it's a rollercoaster ride of emotions that I enjoyed and would recommend for sure if you love fated mates, groveling and werewolves.
Oh man Tanja Lorgoria has done it again! I came into this book a little bit blind as I have read other works and knew I was going to enjoy this so when I say I was hoping for a second chance mate in this series I was left crushed and heartbroken..it didn't last through. I will have to mention pleaseeeee check the tigger warning for this story. I loved everything about this book the heartbreak, the growth, the self made family, the fighting and the *ucking.. Tanja left me in tears at the start of this book in absolute heartbreak but left me in happy tears in the end. Crystal Luna is a well rounded story you will cry, you will feel the hate, you will laugh, and you will cheer right a long with our very brave and strong MFC. this is a must read for all shifter fantasy romance book lovers. Thank you Tanja Longoria for another amazing world for me to get lost into.
Velora went through so much (check TW) and she learned to become herself and a warrior when she met The Howlers pack. Heath was such a good man for helping her 🥹
Asher and Isaiah had to give Velora space after she found out they are her mates. 2 people who abused her just because they could. And DAMN she made them pay!!!
When she beats Asher’s ass in the gym 🤌🏻✨ When she put Larissa in her place 🔥 When she scared the crap out of Isaiah 😏
Loved the different dynamic she had with the twins in the bedroom. Where one is her puppy the other gives the orders to her. Isaiah is the one who needs control and Asher is the one who hands it over to her.
In the end she finally accepted them as her mates but she also dared to say it out loud to herself and them 🥹💜
Wow! I loved this book. I received this book as an ARC for free. I wasn't sure that I was going to like it in the very beginning but it soon took hold of me. Velora is so strong yet vulnerable and, when needs must, totally and utterly kickass!! I absolutely adore the relationships and friendships she forms with all the different characters. There's a good sprinkle of spice in this book, so if you're easily offended, then don't read it! 😉🌶 This book made me cry in parts. It made me angry at certain characters and made me fall in love with others. The descriptions and details in this book are second to none. I could see the village, I could see the territory, I felt Velora's pain and her happiness. I'm so glad I got to read this ARC. Thank you!
I just finished reading "Crustal Luna" by Tanja Longoria, what a great read. Now, be careful there are several triggers in this book, but the power of the FMC (Velora) outweighs the traumatic experiences she has gone through. I am a big lover of werewolf books especially when mates are involved. Now add in a pair of twin brothers. Whew! Gotta love a little reverse harem, and the pictures were a nice surprise on an eARC! This is a great slow burn that picks up about halfway through. There are times where I feel like the book was rushed, where others are dragging on, but overall the pacing was very good. Overall, I really enjoyed this book!

Let me just start by saying I did enjoy this book. I think the storyline has great potential.
I did find it difficult to read in some parts as it felt as though some parts were incomplete. It almost felt like one thought wasn’t finished before another started. I did have to go back and read some parts a couple of time before it made sense.
I also would have loved to see more of her relationship with Rayan, Curtis and Mia as the story progressed too. I was disappointed we didn’t get to see how they handled Velora leaving.
I think another story from Heaths point of view after Velora leaves would be interesting too.

This book starts off with so many intense scenes, it pulls you in immediately. Velora goes through so much pain in the first few chapters, only to emerge as a badass warrior.
Until her past comes back to haunt her.
While the storyline was good and super spicy, there were a few things I would've like to have seen. I don't want to spoil too much, but I would've liked to have seen the Crystal wolves reaction when Velora went missing and how Heath handled everything after Velora was sent to live with her mates.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and I do suggest reading the content Warning before you read as there are some scenes that are graphic.
