Summary:
This is about a teacher who has a bad hair day and it happens to be the school picture day. Her students and the school staff try and help her.

Writing Trait:
Sentence fluency - There is a certain flow when reading the sentences. Each quotation is carefully laid out and creates an easy and relaxed read.

Mentor Text: This would be a great story to read to my class at the beginning of the school year when students are starting to talk about school picture day. The story has a happy ending which would help leave students less stressed about picture day. This could also be used when students are working on practicing writing longer stories with quotations.

I would have given this one a higher rating, but I'm trying to rate it from my perception of Jenna's perspective. It was a funny book, but the humor was just beyond a 3 year old. I would definitely try this agian when Jenna is older.
