I am giving this book a 3.5, I just do not know how to do that! This book is definitely not my genre of books but I received it as a gift and buddy read it with someone. This book is DEFINITELY not for everyone so check your trigger warnings. There is a part one and part two all in this book and it sure takes you on a ride. It is gory, descriptive, and I wanted to throw up several times reading it BUT I love a book that makes me feel!

I dedicate this book to people like me those that were told over and over that they weren’t good enough those who were told that they were too fucked up and defective those who fell along and that’s there’s no one else like them. You are not alone we are the broken ones postmortem and our family are the broken ones this poem is for you

OMG THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME I think be make a very cool movie as well. What can I say about this book? Oh, my goodness, I am going to say that this book is absolutely disgusting. It's so sick it's demented it's everything that a horror book needs. When I say this book is basically demonic it is. It allows you to get into the energy and the mind of what demonic is. If you ask me. I have been researching demons my whole life. I'm a very spiritual person. And this book has a lot of explanation of what the dark side is. Even though I know the story is fiction. It's still pretty incredible. There were a few twists in terms. I really love how at the end how it all tied together. I do find it left off at a cliff hanger. So hopefully the author plans on writing another book based on this and making it a series. Because that would be super cool. I honestly would rate this book a ten stars if that was a thing.

I was a little bit intimidated by this book it is the second longest splatterpunk I have ever read. When I started this book, it took a lot for me to be able to put it down I would stay up till four in the morning reading, knowing I had to get up at 8 AM. it was such an incredible book and it was so sick and fucking twisted. There were times where I was desperately trying to understand what was going on I felt like I was going insane but wow what a crazy mindfuck this book was.. 10/10 this book did not disappoint. 5 words I would use to describe this book are gnarly, twisted, mindfuck, disturbing. Again 5 STARS. Do not read this book, if you are easily shocked, offended, or disgusted.

I really did like this book in all its craziness
Post Mortem can very descriptively detail what most couldn’t even imagine!!! Yet I found myself turning page after page

To me this book read like multiple short stories that all tied in together as you went on which i thoroughly enjoyed
The detailed way he writes is chefs kiss, he puts you in the scenes with his characters it would almost seem.
The way he writes about the taboo subject of religion yet doing in a way that doesn’t offend but makes you want to keep reading
If you’re a horror junky to the extreme THIS is the book for you

Post Mortem wrote an excellent splatter-punk novel. Us crossed every imaginable boundary and had a great story line. This is not for the amateur horror reader. This story is extremely dark and will make you question your own sanity. I’ll always root for Memphis in spite of all the things he did but Abigail Tate was pretty badass. I’m here all day long for anything Post is going to bring. I look forward to reading more.

Phenomenal storyline that sucks you in and keeps you engaged that plays like a movie in your head. This book tugs on every emotion possible making you feel things throughout the story. Short chapters that bounce around perfectly. A bad ass roller coaster for fans of extreme horror. Buckle up it a wild heart felt and sick ride!

Us is an entirely unique book in the splatter scene. Combining elements typically neglected in the genre and an ever expanding scope- it hits and never relents. Great gore, ideas, and characterization. Worth a read.
