This book had me blushing from beginning to end. And some of the last few chapters had me so emotional ! But for all the crying I did, the ending paid off!! And boy was it the hottest scene Ive ever read !!

I’m so in love with this book!! This was so freaking good!! I fell in love with Luca & Scarlett sooo hard!! The character development was so beautiful! And the spice was crazy! I stayed up till 4am finishing this book because I COULDN’T put it down! This book literally took my heart and soul! It’s SOO amazing!
I loved how strong of a fmc Scarlett was and that no one I mean NO ONE hurts someone she loves.
And my heart absolutely broke for Luca and Zar so much!
I absolutely loved Zar so much!! He is such a light spicy person and I was so here for it!
And I was kicking my feet and screaming at Lucas possessiveness!! It was so hot!
I recommend this book if you love Fifty Shades or very spice reads with lots of character development and plot!!

This is probably a me problem 🙈 I was expecting quite differently for this book. I think I would have loved this if it was more plotty? It was just too much spice 🌶 for me? That I feel some of them became boring.

The writing is good, I also enjoyed Scarlet's character and Gia. I have never read a book or a romance where the FMC is a mma, so that one piqued my interest.

Overall, it was shaky for me? I didn't really enjoy it this much.

Oh did this book have me! I did not want it to end. I want it to keep going, I want to keep reading it. I actually slowed down my reading when I had 5 chapters left because I did not want it to end. 🙈😅 I don’t want it to be over.

In this book your meet Scarlett (mma fighter/bodyguard), Lucas (billionaire/signle dad/dom) Zar (Lucas best friend/CFO)

This book is a dom/sub, with why choose.

Lucas has a stalker and needs a bodyguard for his daughter and himself. Scarlett gets hired as the bodyguard. Lucas and Scarlett actually know each other from a little party, so when Lucas needed a bodyguard for his daughter, he didn’t need to take long to pick the right person.

I was on an emotional roller coaster, Luca had my heart, he broke it and healed it, over and over again, Zar had my laughs, that man could make me laugh and fall in love with him, Scarlett had my strength, she is such a bada$$.

I will most definitely be reading this book again and again. I can’t get over this book.

I wish Zar had a spin off, I want to know more about his story.

Oh Mrs. Finley what have you done to me?

My friend has been PRESSURING me for MONTHS to read your books and I kept brushing it off. And I’m here to say I’m sorry I did. As soon as I saw an arc opportunity for this book I had to jump on it. A billionaire Dom? Who’s also a single dad? Omg I’m in heaven. As soon as I started this book I was HOOKED. I didn’t want to stop. I can see why they call you the Queen of Spice 🌶️🥵.

Scarlett had my entire heart. She was such a badass and I love that in an FMC. I’m tired of the wimpy fmcs who are whiney and complain a lot. Scarlett was an MMA fighter and took no 💩from anyone. I aspire to be her when I grow up.

This starts out with Scarlett getting a job to protect a famous billionaire’s daughter. Only to realize the father of the daughter she has to protect is the sexy Dom she had a hot night with at a sex club the year before. The tension between Scarlett and Luca.. OH.MY.GOD

Luca. Luca. Luca. My man I would let you do ANYTHING to me. Pleasure Dom? But also a soft side for his daughter? Sign. Me. Up. But when Scarlett learns his secret.. 🤫 🥵 it only got better from there. Luca and Zar? It’s the perfect male sandwich and I’m so upset they were fictional. Luca had such a dirty mouth and this man had me WRITHING. But Luca had a past and denied himself what he really wanted which is why he became a Dom. His past with his wife (I won’t spoil) had my heart breaking 💔 and when you finally learn what happened with his wife I was so devastated for Luca and could understand why he was denying himself.

Last part I’ll mention. I really loved the scenes with his daughter Gia. I really love the single parent trope and this book was no different. It was cute, it was funny, it was emotional. I loved it. Please read it!!

Okay I lied. I obviously have to mention the spice. Miss Ma’am you have ruined me in the best way. The HEA at the end with 12 people? 👩🏼‍🍳💋 The why choose scenes? The office scene? 🥵 Luca’s dirty mouth? 🪦 I loved it alllll! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Why on earth have I never read a book by Kelly Finley before? This story quickly had a vise-grip on me. It was utterly addictive as it contained everything I love in my favorite romances. The characters were perfect with realistic growth and redeeming qualities. MMF? Yes, please! The world building was spot on. I fell hard for Luca, Zar, and Scarlett. She was badass and the perfect match for Luca. Zar and little Gia quickly grabbed my adoration as well. The tension, emotion, spice, angst, and suspense only added to the brilliance that was Make Him. I highly recommend you purchase this book ASAP. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This book pretty much cleared up any reservations I had about erotica…it’s just not for me. Don’t get me wrong – I enjoy some good smut but I really need a good story line. And to be fair, this story line was "a bit" intriguing although why certain things were kept a secret for so long was beyond me and it didn’t keep me hooked.

The sex scenes were just over the top and a little cringy. Plus it seemed the author just threw in any type of act she could think of…multiple ones at the same time with multiple people – it was hard to keep straight who was doing what with who! (But maybe that’s the point?)

I also didn’t feel any connection between the characters. Luca loved all the “dom”-ness, Zar loved what he couldn’t have…or did have? and Scarlett just loved being a kinky person in a kinky world. Gia was the shining star.

Also, all the red “names” – while a little cute, again, gets to be too much.

It was the cover that drew me in. And I have a habit of wanting to go in blind on books which I won’t be doing that again.

I was going to give this book a one star, however, there is some good angst towards the end that I enjoyed so two stars it is.

This is definitely a “not for me” rating as I’ve seen a ton of five stars and if you’re a big fan of erotica, you will probably enjoy this.

This book was HOT! I mean HOTTT 🔥🔥 One of the hottest books I’ve read in awhile. I even had to take a few breaks while reading it. It was that spicy. A one handed read that’s for sure 😉

Not only is it super spicy, it’s very emotional at times. I fell in love with the storyline. I wasn’t expecting to cry while reading this, but it made me tear up some. I loved all the characters and how their relationship grew through the whole story. All the obstacles they had to overcome. I really felt for Luca and everything he’s been through. Luca’s daughter, Gia was also super cute and sweet. She made me fall in love with the story even more.

I really enjoyed this. I didn’t want it to end. I’ll be thinking about this story for awhile.

Just when you think the “Queen of Spice” can’t write any spicer, she creates this masterpiece! It deserves all of the stars. I wasn’t expecting to cry while reading this one but I definitely got all emotional. Luca and Scarlett both have a lot of past trauma and they have to figure out how to overcome them together!

Luca Mercier is the man Scarlett shared one night together that either of them will never forget but when Scarlett ends up crossing paths with him again, it is to become his daughter’s bodyguard. They always say don’t mix busy with pleasure but when it comes to these two they have no self control!

My Thoughts:
The Queen of Spice does it again!!! And Daddy Luca was EVERYTHING!!! When I tell y’all this book had me hooked from the first page and I could not put it down. It will have you happy, it will have you sad, it will have you angry, it will have you worried, it will have you fanning yourself because it’s so dang spicy!! This book will have you feeling so many emotions in one but still happy at the end. It put me through the wringer lol.

Luca will have you hooked and wanting to know more about him. He has some darkness to him because he’s fighting secretly to find the light at the end through out the whole book. He was so complex and you felt every emotion he had just like Scarlett. He was so intense. Deep down he was a big softy for those he loved. He showed his love through actions, he wanted her to feel it even if he couldn’t say it. He was so protective and possessive and I LOVED IT!!

Scarlett was a boss!! She didn’t take any crap for anyone. In a world where you’re always making decisions and having to protect everyone around you, all she wanted to do was to be the one that was saved and cherished for once. She wanted to feel worthy and accepted. She wanted to submit. She found that in Luca. She fiercely and unapologetically loved Luca and his family from the beginning. And of course we love a queen who knows her worth and doesn’t settle. Scarlett was a ride or die forever!!

Together these two lit a fire in one another. Where Luca was the match, Scarlett was the fuse. They loved deep and hard. They felt each other’s pain. They healed each other. It was a beautiful love story to read. This book is SUPER spicy!! Probably the spiciest book I’ve read yet.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of Make Him, my first book from the author, and holy smokes. WOW. I get why they call her the Queen of Spice now! More than anything, this was a love story—one of familial love, romantic love, self love, and the love that never leaves after someone is gone. Not only that, but it was also a showcase of trauma and grief and the lasting, lingering effects in just a few of its many manifestations. Seeing the love between Luca and Gia, Luca and Zar, Luca and Scarlett, and that between each of those for each other, plus that of friends and family, was so special. But there were also heartbreaking moments, where you couldn’t help but cry along at the loss and loneliness, the denial, punishment and grief. As the story unfolds, you learn more about the past, that which informs the current mindsets of the characters, also exacerbated by the external threat of an obsessed stalker. But, you also see the secret pleasures and kinks behind closed doors and HOLY MAN—soooo freaking HOT! I loved Scarlett and her tough ways, physically and emotionally, but how she could also be submissive, tender, and sweet. Zar is hilarious and cocky, but also has his own struggles he internalizes. And Luca is Dominate, electrifying, sexy, and enthralling. Those three combined are such a mix of emotions throughout the book—and you just cannot get enough! I also love Gia—she’s adorable, sassy, and hilarious. This whole book make me laugh, cry, love, feel right along with the characters, wish I was them, and also fulfill the wish Kelly made in her dedication (wink wink)! Seriously, this book definitely had its kinks and BDSM/poly love and I am not sure I’ve ever seen it look better! I ADORED this book for the love and light and laughs it brought, but also thoroughly enjoyed the secret dark and tantalizing side, especially that last scene—and Zar’s bonus chapter. Highly recommend and will definitely be checking out the other books!!!

I was not ready for this! Make Him is my first book by Kelly Finley, and what an introduction this was. This book is probably the spiciest I've ever read. I may have been clutching my pearls a little. I understand why Kelly is considered the Queen of Spice!

Luca is a billionaire and single father with a tragic past. Still dealing with a broken heart, Luca refuses to allow his heart to feel what it did for his wife. He feels responsible for what has transpired in his life; thus, he seeks ways to punish himself by pleasuring others. Scarlett is an ex-fighter now working for a security company, and Luca is her new client. Scarlett recognizes Luca as someone she never thought she would cross paths with again. When Scarlett walks into Luca's life, he can't help but fall for her. Along with his best friend Zar, Scarlett makes Luca feel complete.

While this book involves a lot of dom/sub exploration, the story has depth and touches on deeper topics. This story has drama, suspense, heartbreak, and hope. The characters deal with complex emotions and are flawed. Luca is at war with himself, and Kelly Finley gives him space to work out his feelings throughout the story.

We finally get Luca’s story!

Luca is an enigmatic hotelier, father, and upstanding member of his community. He also happens to holds more secrets than an intelligence agent and holds himself and those around him up to the highest of standards.

Then there’s Scarlett. A girl who grew up too soon. Scarlett spent a good part of her childhood stepping in for a deadbeat dad, who went to the store and never came home, while her mother worked. Scarlett is a former champion fighter turned bodyguard. Her newest detail just so happens to be Gia, Luca’s daughter. Here we learn that Scarlett and Luca have “met” before and share a secret that could put Scarlett’s job in jeopardy.

Zar is Luca’s best friend and right hand man. Luca and Zar also share secrets that tether them together through pain, guilt, love and devotion. And this is just the beginning!

Once again I am awed by Finley’s writing style. The dialogue is so natural and funny af! You really get to learn the inner workings of her characters through their internal dialogues. Each character nuanced, flawed, and proud (in some cases to their own detriment).

And the spice? Daaaaaamn, this spice is so insanely nice.

This read is sexy, it’s spicy, it will have you on your knees for more. It’s a forbidden romance between a gorgeous billionaire & his bodyguard, has some dom/sub action, but also so a bit of why choose & much more lying beneath the surface. Luca, Zar, & Scarlett are fire together.
Luca Mercier is that irresistible billionaire with a string of hotels under his Mercier reign. He lives a double life & has no plans to change his ways any time soon. On the surface, he’s the widowed & dutiful single father & head of the Mercier Hotel chain. But when a threat finds his family, the beautiful & fiery bodyguard assigned to him & his daughter presents a level of risk of a different caliber.
Scarlett Jones may be a former MMA fighter, but she’s gorgeous & she’s top notch when it comes to protection detail. She’s come a long way from her upbringing, but she still is that southern girl through & through. High society isn’t ready for her level of poise & grace. But thankfully, Luca & his sweet girl, Gia are more than ready for the joy & laughter she can bring into their lives.
Zar Rollins is the good ole Texas boy who has chosen a life outside of his family’s fortune. As Luca’s best friend, he’s an integral part of the day to day life of both Luca & Gia. He’s so much more than a friend, he’s family, & without him they would be lost.
The story line in this book kept throwing punches like Scarlett was in her heyday. The character development was top notch and had me falling hard for them all (why choose indeed). The bond that Scarlett was able to form with Gia was precious, her bond with Zar was friendship goals from the very beginning, & her connection with Luca was so palpable it was ready to ignite with just the thought of a spark.
The tortured soul of Luca had my heart breaking constantly. Zar’s unending support even though he was a little broken hurt too. Scarlett was such a strong female lead & she had much more resilience than I think I could’ve had in her situation. And when Luca’s double life comes to light, the spice was definitely spicing!!
If you are looking for a Pretty Woman feel with lots & lots of spice, don’t hesitate…grab this book & maybe some reinforcements & enjoy the ride!

So far I have loved every book I have read by Kelly Finley and this one is no different. I loved Make Him. I laughed, I got mad, I cried for 3 chapters and then laughed some more. I love a book that can make you feel all of the emotions
Luca (God love him) tried so hard to do right by his deceased wife Darby…..he felt so responsible for her death & he was so broken almost beyond repair….notice I said almost
Luca is young billionaire and owner of luxury hotel chain in need of private security to protect his daughter from the craziness and stalkers of the world
Then we have Scarlett….this woman is a bad ass, ex MMA fighter and oldest of 4 sisters….she has a huge heart and will destroy anyone that hurts her family or the people in her life that feel like family
Enter Gia, Luca’s 5 year old daughter…..you can’t help but love her& her innocences…she loves with her whole heart….I have a soft spot for children in books…..especially when they are written correctly…..Gia was….she asks the hard questions and may not always get the wording right but that’s what makes her more realistic and believable “Fine China” if you know you know
What started out as a job for Scarlett takes a quick turn….Luca and Scarlett had met a year earlier and couldn’t get the other out of their heads….lines get a little blurred between these two but I was there for it….the only problem was they couldn’t get out of their own way….Scarlett had abandonment issues & Luca felt like he didn’t deserve love in his life….will these two get it together
Oh and we can’t forget Zar. He is Luca’s best friend since college and the comic relief every smutty book needs….that man knew how to push ALL of the right buttons

If this is your first read by The Queen of Spice you will want to go back and read her others…..there are several secondary characters in this book that have their own books…trust me if you love a spicy read with a lot of plot you wont be disappointed….yes these books are super spicy but there is equal story to spice…& check the trigger warnings….besides the spicy BDSM there is an unhinged stalker & talk of past SA of a child….always ready the trigger/content warnings before reading a new book

Luca's story has been hotly anticipated having met him in various other Kelly Finley love stories. He is the heartbroken single Dad billionaire with pleasure Dom tendencies and a marriage to a ghost. Make Him gives him his backstory. And his depths and emotions were a surprise to me. I wasn't expecting him to fall as deeply for Scarlett but to also be weighed down with so much guilt that he can never allow himself to feel pleasure. He lives his punishment through pleasuring others. More specifically through pleasuring his two subs.

I should have known love would have many more layers in a Kelly Finley romance. Luca shares his heart with his best friend, Zar, and Scarlett is the piece that completes them. Make Him is another beautiful exploration of poly love and of kink in a safe and consensual way. There are no limits to the ways Luca explores with Scarlett and Zar. And within the safety of his kink suite in the Mercier Hotel, they are able to invite their friends to join them. So for fans of the Six and Stacey and her men, there is plenty of action for all. There is no combination of these characters that doesn't burn up the page with passion and desire.

I love that Kelly gives flesh to her characters beyond the kink and spice. They are flawed and dealing with real world emotions like grief, abandonment, guilt and issues of control and business reputation. The emotions Luca wars with are valid and challenging. This book gives him, Scarlett and Zar the space to work it out. And what you are left with is a beautiful and heated imperfect love story with a gorgeously crafted happy ending.

And if you love your poly then the last quarter of this book is to die for. The climax of this romance is a heavenly combo of Luca sharing Scarlett with everyone they love. It is a celebration of love and all the characters Kelly has gifted us with.

Luca left after that with a woman in his mind that he'd never forget. Scarlett was everything, and he never wanted anyone as much as he wanted her. But he walked away because of that promise to himself.

Scarlett is an ex MMA fighter, and now she is a bodyguard. She had the same feelings that Luca shared, but he walked away. Time passed on, and those feelings didn't lessen, but it was a memory that they couldn't forget. When Gia gets a stalker, Luca can only think of hiring a bodyguard to protect his daughter. What he didn't expect was Scarlett showing up to protect his daughter.

They are both thrown back together, and they have to make the best of it. The angst is real in this book when they get back around each other. Luca is an Alpha Dom but enjoys when Scarlett takes charge when it comes to protecting his daughter. When these two get back together, the sparks fly.

This book is so good and I really enjoyed reading it. If you enjoy these tropes before, then this is a must-read book for you. Kelly never disappoints in her books.

Deliciously tormenting. In every way.

The tension between Luca and Scarlett is apparent, and STRONG, right off the bat. There's insane chemistry there and it DEMANDS to be noticed.

Scarlett is a total bad*ss BABE! She's the depiction of every woman. The woman that holds everything together for the sake of someone else. After her father left when she was young she did everything she possibly could to care for her 3 sisters. To know the pain of having to mature at a young age to provide for others, while inside your younger self craves love is excruciating and Kelly depicted Scarlett's pain and growth beautifully.

Luca. Oh, Luca. 🥵 Our insanely hot, and filthy, single father and hotelier. That man was a tough shell to crack, but our Scarlett got there... Eventually. It is NOT an easy journey for these two. Luca is plagued by his past and promises he made. He stands strong in the rules he's made for himself, and he puts nothing above the one thing that means the most to him, his daughter Gia.

Y'all Gia is THE most precious thing I have ever read. OMG. The comedic relief of that little girl was absolutely golden and when I wasn't blushing I was laughing at Gia!

And I cried. This one touched on a subject very very close to home and all the emotion, pain, and joy Kelly put into this book was absolutely stunning. It was hot, steamy, hilarious, down right FILTHY, but it was also emotional and healing! This is exactly why I love Kelly's writing!

This is a stand alone book about Luca and Scarlett. You will see other characters from Kelly's other books but you d not need to read them in order to understand this one. All her books are connected in some way but again, you can read them out of order.

Oh Kelly what have you done to my heart? I was expecting sexy and angsty. What I wasn't expecting was to be crying into my kindle at 2AM and cursing your name at about 75% into the book. In Kelly fashion, she made me fall in love with each character. Luca is filled with torment, guilt and tons of secrets. He is an enigma that I didn't know I needed but wanted at the same time. Scarlet...She is my new favorite. Her tough exterior and very soft heart made her an amazing character. I never though Kelly could top Charlie Ravanel, but she did. Scarlett has old wounds that she keeps close to her heart and when she meets Luca, she falls hard. Their relationship is difficult because Luca has a daughter and when Scarlett falls for both, they set out on a journey to see where their relationship will go. Their path is not easy. So many outside factors are against them.... including Luca himself.

OMG Kelly...You have done it again but I think this might be my new favorite. The tears that rolled down my face as I read this book. You truly know how to make your readers want to throw their kindle. Your writing is amazing, your characters are lovable and the angst in this story nearly broke me. Thank goodness I know you love an HEA and gave me an incredible last 4 chapters that had me needing a fan and cool drink of water. This could take over as my new favorite and that's saying something because you know how much I love Beau and Blair.

I am still fairly new to Kelly’s books. This one is the second one I’ve read by her… So I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, she truly blew me away. She has really raised the bar with this one.

Scarlett isn’t one you want to mess with. She’s strong in every sense of the word and knows how to fight. She works at a security company and she is assigned to a new client Luca. However, when greeted by the new client nothing could have prepared her. She is confronted with someone she never thought she would see again.


Luca is a single hot dad and a filthy rich billionaire who is currently being stalked and requires a bodyguard for his young daughter and the moment he saw Scarlett, he knew she was perfect for the job.



This was 𝗦 𝗣 𝗜 𝗖 𝗬 and when I say spicy... I mean it




but even though it was laced with smut, the author managed to weave in drama, emotion, heartache, heartbreak and suspense. It really had it all. Luca and Scarlett’s chemistry was there and their banter was top-tier and I also loved how smitten and sweet Luca was with his daughter. I am a sucker for a single dad romance and Kelly really delivered with this one!

All in all, this was an incredible, steamy, entertaining and addictive read. It’s the prime example of why we call the author The Queen of Spice.

✨ Make Him By Kelly Finely ✨

Kelly has done it again! This book ils full of SPICE and lots of angst as well. Luca is a broken by all the guilt he's been carrying after his wife's passing and he is determine to keep the vow he made to his deceased wife till his last day. Luca is devoted to his daughter and giving everything for her and her happiness all the while remaining hallow inside. Don't get me started on Scarlett and Zar. Oh Lordy! These two were so freaking cute. Their love for Luca and Gia was just adorable to see during the story. For Scarlett, Gia went from being her mark to protect to becoming family and someone she would die for. Scarlett was willing to put her heart in the line not only for Gia but for both her and Luca. 

This book had me in all the feels! Like I said, yes it was full of spice but you also got the love story. There were healing moments for all the characters. Acceptance. Letting go of past guilt and the yearning to find their happy ending. One part that I absolutely loved was when Scarlett chose herself. She knew what she felt for Luca and she knew what he meant to her but also knew her worth and knowing that walking away is needed at times for them to re-evalute and appreciate someones love and to not take it for granted.   

Kelly did an awesome job when it came to making love and hate Luca all at the same time. I laughed. Cried. Got angry and the swooning 😍😍.

When I say I did not want this book to end...I seriously mean it. Holy shit. That's what this book did to me.
Luca and Scarlett are such a couple.
Luca Mercier is the most eligible bachelor and can have anyone he wants...but only a particular redhead makes him want to break his promises to his late wife. He is so whipped for Scarlett and I love it. He is ruthless, yet so caring. I love how he cares about his daughter, Gia....his friendship with Zar and so much more. I love how he watches Disney movies with Gia, how much he cares about everything, how he wants it all to be just perfect.
In some ways I really like how his character wanted to keep Scarlett at an arms length because of himself but then again, they're meant to be.
His dirty mouth is definitely something that we all loved during the whole book, and let's not even talk about the scenes. If there was something that was the hottest in the book, it has to be the scenes with Luca, Scarlett and Zar.
Scarlett Jones is one of the most lethal FMC'S I've ever read. Her personality is all strong and bold. I even love how she's the one in security and how she used to be a boxer. I really love her don't give a damn, but also when she gets all too emotional thinking about it all.
Her relationship with Gia is so cute, I really think that was my favourite.
Zar was also my favourite character, besides Gia....his playful personality and the thoughtful things he did. I really love how he got a happy story for himself after all he went though.
I definitely would want to read more of Zar....actually more of everybody.

When his daughter needs a bodyguard who can blend in as his personal assistant, he ends up coming face to face with the fiery woman he previously shared a passionate night with. Scarlett is a former MMA fighter ready to take on the challenge. They both find themselves reliving the memories of their time together and can't keep away from each other now. Of course there's also the handsome Zar too. He's Luca's best friend, business partner, and one of his biggest secrets.

Luca is determined to keep his family life and his behind the scenes spicy Dom life completely separate. As they get closer and closer that gets harder and more complicated.

The chemistry and spice in this book was on a whole other level. But it wasn't just about the scorching hot moments. There were so many tender, loving, and wholesome moments too. Luca is such a tortured soul, believing he didn't deserve the love and the life he could have with Scarlett. He constantly struggled with accepting himself and what could be.

This story was so great. I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to check all the other books in this spicy world off my TBR list. I have to know more about all their friends and their own stories now.

Kelly, my dear, I see why they call you the queen of spice 😂 I can across this book in an open sign up and thought it looked good so I went for it. I had never read any of her other work so I was really going in blindfolded, pun intended, IYKYK😂 Im glad I did because I’ll be reading all her back list now lol

Luca is a widower, single dad and a billionaire running his families hotels.
Scarlet is a ex mma fighter turned bodyguard.
Zar is Lucas best friend and CFO.
When Luca’s wife dies he vowed to never be with anyone else ever. That changed when he was at a…club party and came across a redhead he just couldn’t ignore. He gave into it and they had an amazing and depraved night together and then he left. He’d never see her again so he doesn’t have to worry…until he needs a bodyguard for his daughter and who but the stunning redhead walks into his office announcing she’ll be the new bodyguard.

This book was such a good read. Luca broke my heart and healed it and made it ache through out this whole book! I loved watching Luca grow as a person and a lover and a dad. Watching him heal through this book was beautiful. He was so nervous for people to see the real him but once he let them see, he was such a better person for it. The love that Scarlett, Luca and Zar shared ugh I loved it! Can’t wait to read more of Kelly’s work!

The quality of the writing in this book is immediately apparent by the excellent descriptions and the interesting, alluring characters. Combined, they pull you, the reader, into the story, making you scroll and read as fast as possible.

The lead characters, Scarlett Jones and Luca Mercier, are joined by Zar Rollins, who is a long-standing friend of Luca’s and the CFO of Mercier Hotels. He is so much more, though, and as the story unfolds, we see how close he is to Luca and Luca’s daughter, Gia. Scarlett is such a strong woman, a character I admire immensely. Luca? Yeah, not so much. 🤣 No, that’s not true. I do like him, but I did want to give him a kick in the rear a time or two. Zar is an absolute sweetheart.

There are a plethora of steamy sex scenes, and all a tad different or a lot! 🤣 Suffice it to say they are all red hot, showcasing the passionate natures of the incredible characters in this story.

There are some very humorous moments; I particularly enjoyed the fun banter and one-liners throughout the book. Gia especially stars in many of them with her five-year-old innocence. I won’t elaborate but will say, “Fine, china” 🤣 you’ll get a kick when you read that funny scene.

Likewise, there are some absolutely gut-wrenching moments too. I’m not ashamed to admit I had tears in my eyes in one very poignant scene. You feel so many emotions deep in your heart as you travel along with the characters in this amazing story, enjoying the journey.

this book - omg it is HOT 🥵

I made the mistake of bringing my kindle to fight night and I had to lower the brightness and put it down at certain parts 🫣

luca - the hot widower dad who also so happens to be a billionaire, needs a security detail for his daughter who is starting school

scarlett - the women he said he would never sleep with again - happens to be a ex mma fighter and the best bodyguard in her company to watch his daughter (super fitting for the mma fights I was watching live)

their relationship started off hot & steamy in the night club and then they didn’t see each other for over a year. reading how they rekindled their relationship but also trying to be professional was freaking killing me. they can’t touch each other but the balcony scene really made up for it 🥵

I love the relationship between scarlett and gia and I could read a whole book about them. scarlett cares so much about her and you could feel it in the writing.

this book is SPICY but that doesn’t mean the characters written are dry or have no personality. each character is written so beautifully, it makes them feel real.

Make her has all the emotions and feels. Kelly’s writing pulls you in so fast and hard (pun intended 😉🤭) that you become incredibly addicted and now you’re a feen. While the smut to plot ratio was favored to smut, don’t be fooled by the amazing twist and unbelievable betrayal that will MAKE YOU actually cry. 😭😭😭😭

I actually cried 5 times reading this book.

Luca Mercier is the Dom I didn’t know I was missing out on. His work ethic and his attention to detail on fatherhood is so inspiring to see. On the other hand, there is Master Luca who captivates the room with just his words, then ignites when it’s time to play.

Scarlett. My girl! The fiery MMA fighter who is assigned to protect Luca’s daughter with everything in her being. She is so badass. It’s impressive to see her step in different roles without there being an issue. Except when she tells Luca No! That’s my favorite part 🤭
