This western adventure has a young woman & teenage brother fleeing an inclement suitor returning to safety of family farm after 25 years. There is a scandalous past realitive, legend of treasure & unscrupulous men threatening the peace & safety of Grace & her brother. Redbournes close ranks around them.

Another Redborne bites the dust even though Ethan valiantly fights the attraction he has for Grace.

I was intrigued by the ingenuity of clue gathering, encompassing community spirit and the wonderful at times wacky family holiday traditions that it was hard to put this adventure down.

This book, as well as the first two in the series, are wonderful. This is my favorite, so far, of the first three books. Leah & Jameson Redbourne are the best parents, and the advice the give their children is great! These are heartwarming stories, there is sweet romance, romantic tension, and this book has the added suspense of treasure hunting. I found it very hard to put this book down once I began reading it, and when they were on the trail of the treasure, well I found it very hard to go to bed, and finish the next day!
I highly recommend this book, and all of the Redbourne series books. You won't regret it.

The Blacksmith.

Oh, what a fabulous story. I was so wrapped up in it,. I can't seemed to let go of the storyline. I loved the men characters, how you brought out the greatness, how they loved their family, how the mother brought them up. Great

Unusual story

This story was kind of a scavenger hunt for a treasure. I enjoyed how a sister and brother endured their adventure from the east coast. After reading it it appears the these stories run parallel to each other instead of continuous

***POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT***
This is the third book in the series. After reading it it appears the these stories could run parallel to each other instead of continuous.
Book 2 Rafe was a bounty hunter and was jilted and then asked Taya to marry him at the end. In this book he was a deputy with no woman in his sights.
Book 1 Cole's friend Alaric was killed and Cole wanted to find out who killed him. In this story Alaric is alive.

Indiana Jones style

A search for treasure Indians Jones style. Completely far fetched for one bandit in that era to have created, with moving walls, hidden levers etc but entertaining.
I loved Ethan's character, but I could not understand why this book was out of sync with the others. It is down as book 3 in the series, yet pre dates the other two! I wish I had realised that before reading the others.

Loved it!

Wonderful story about true love that conquers all! This is Ethan's story and a bit confusing because these books aren't in North order or follow time wise! But once you are past that, oh so worthwhile to read! Wonderful read! Can't wait to read on?

This is the third book I have read. The writing is ok, but the order is puzzling. The order does not follow from brother to brother. It is confusing. Stories are ok.

Out of order?

This book had several pro but also some very serious cons in my opinion. Here goes the pro. Loved the story line. Love the characters. Great read for young and old readers. Love the details in the book. Here is the cons. When you are writing a series you never ever ever write the 3rd book 5 years prior to the other two books in the series. When you are reading a series all books should follow a time line. One book following the other unless you have a book reflecting on past events. If you are going to write a book later in the series that does go back previously you never give the details away in books prior to it. I knew by the end of book 2 who Ethan was married to. You have the 2 main characters in books 1&2 single in book 3. You have characters who died in book 2 who a alive in book 3. Terrible!!!!! By the end of book 2 there was only 2 brothers who were not married at the end of this book 3 there is only 2 who are married. Not a good way to plan this series. There is still so many unanswered questions from book 2. What happened to Tessa, what happened to Darlington, what happened with Harrison, did Rafe and Tayla get married where did they settle , did Rafe go back to medical school. Then this book #3 starts with Rafe back to being a bounty hunter. What?? Makes no sense! So if you have not read 1 & 2 yet you may want to read book 4 then 3 and so forth. Because book 3 mentions Levi is already married and book 4 is Levi's story. Would have never published these books in this order. Terrible planning on author's part. Big disappointment.

Although this is the third book in the Redbourne Series, it reads well as a stand-alone offering; however your reading experience will be enhanced if you have previously read books 1 and 2 of the series. This was a well written story that kept me captivated to the last page. The story opens with the heroine, Grace Nolan, and her 14-year-old brother, Jack, arriving at the old and abandoned family farm just outside the small town of Stone Creek, Kansas. The day after their late night arrival they meet their neighbors, the Redbourne family. Most specifically they meet Ethan Redbourne. Of course Grace and Ethan notice the attraction they feel for each other almost immediately, though they do not acknowledge it to each other . From that point on the reader is led through a series of mysterious events surrounding legends of lost treasure. For my taste there are simply too many “coincidences” and too many “insightful” guesses involved in the search for the treasure. As a result the story was not believable. As the search for treasure was central to story, the chemistry between the protagonists and their relationship could not overcome the central flaws in the story. Still, it was a fun read. Three stars for this offering - not quite up to the standard Ms. Morgan set in the first two books in the series.

Great story

Loved the Whole story but wish there was more to the ending. Each book in the series so far built up a "bad guy ". However the confrontation and defeat of them felt rushed and like an afterthought, to oh the couple proclaimed their love and married.

Story was so good that the end was only a mild annoyance, I am reading and enjoying this series, sad it's only 5 books.

Amazing treasure hunting!

Amazing treasure hunting!

I thought I knew the direction of this story, but even though, I guessed the outcome, the steps to that outcome surprised and delighted me. This story has a lot of wonderful surprises.

Loved the whole family. I know they are stand a lone books, but I wish I had read Levi's story first, and so on, it would have been less confusing that way.
