Larissa is the child of two worlds. She is a witch and a vampire… Witches fear her… Vampires want her blood.... and she is in love with a human, which is forbidden by both.In the shadowed aftermath of her father's murder by a dark figure, Larissa Norton’s mother sends her away to the protection of Coven Cove Academy. There she joins other vampires like her, where, alongside witches, werewolves, and shapeshifters, they learn how to live in the world of mortals while honing their particular skills. It doesn’t take long before Larissa discovers she has more in common with the others than she even knew. Her mother isn’t her mother, and just like the other students, she too is an orphan, but that is only the first of many mysteries Larissa must face.
The headmistress vows to help Larissa discover who she is, and why she is being chased. In return, Larissa must follow two simple rules at the school. First, one must never use their abilities against a fellow student. A rule broken on just her third day, but in Larissa’s defense, at that time she didn’t know she was also a witch, one of Larissa’s other hidden secrets from a past life she can’t remember. Second, she, and all students, are to stay away from the headmistress’s mortal son, a temptation that is both painful and impossible to ignore.
With the help of the headmistresses and instructors, Larissa unravels a series of secrets and lies and uncovers the truth of who and what she is, leading to the frightening truth about who and what is after her. It's not just one, but many. Some are driven by fear, others driven by a desire for power. All obsessed with what her blood holds. The race against dark forces is not just for her survival but for the power that runs through her veins, which could either save or destroy them all.

I have received single ARCs of these books from the author as he wrote and released each book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion. I am thrilled to see that this series of amazing tales has been released as a box set. Larissa, the main character, is gifted with many abilities but has to work hard to control and develop her powers. The specialist academy she arrives at (no spoilers, I won't tell you how she gets here) is terrific, David's creativity knows no bounds when describing the building and characters, and the magic is incredible: imaginative and unique it builds on existing myths to offer a unique tale. The friendships and romance add to the story of a long war, battle by battle, until the final twist at the end gives a surprising conclusion. I see this book is on an incredible offer price at time of writing and I urge to you to buy it as a gift over the festive period, it won't disappoint anyone from young adults up (I'm 66). I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
The Coven Cove : The Complete Series❤️🔥❤️🔥 absolutely loved this series!! I totally enjoyed listening 🎧 to this series the only thing that was missing was that the complete series did not go seamless to the audible book, so I would have to make sure I checked where I left on on either of the book or audible books so I didn’t miss something!!! The story line is engrossing and the characters are well developed. I can't wait until the last book of the series comes out in December then I can start reading and listening to that book in the series!. Please have someone spell check it, and check for any word mistakes. It didn’t bother me much, but someone who is picky might not read this series because of spelling and errors.
Definitely recommend this series and David Clark -he is amazing author ..
Although this series is marketed to YA readers do NOT let this stop you. I am way beyond that demographic and I loved each and every book. Fantastic characters that I grew to love. Situations that make the heart race. Love, hate, betrayal, redemption, acceptence, and so so much more. The battle scenes amongst the warring factions are exciting and, at times, heart breaking. All in all, David Clark has given us a sensational story. I received the separate books as free reader's copies and am voluntarily leaving a review of the completed series.
Its been a long time since I have read a series this good. I truly believe this should be the next TV series. It has it all. Witches, vampires, werewolves, shape shifters and more. Would be a whole lot better than the Vampire Diaries. You could go book by book and not have to change anything. I don't tell what is in the books I read. That's for you to read and find out. You won't be disappointed in this series. I absolutely loved it. Off to the new class. Happy reading
Narrator was a little slow and I had to set the reading pace to a 1.2 and then it was perfect…
I found the main character interesting -but the dude Nathan I give a “2” to…I did not care for the way he was written-and as long as he stayed more in the background I was ok with him in the story…
And towards the end there many good characters are lost & I was pretty disappointed in how that turned out & it was kinda a shock-I didn’t feel that some of those characters were done with their storyline-but over all I am glad I gave it a listen!!!
A book with witches, vampires, shape shifters and werewolves. Excellent story following a young vampire who discovers she's not quite what she thought - and the reasons why someone wants to kill her. An easy read and great value buying the complete set at once.
So I read the entire series. Honestly some points were good but the magical pregnancy and the sudden teenage daughter bit absolutely made me lose interest. And then the rest of the story was hit or miss and honestly it just wasn't great. It could be good in someone else's eyes. It just wasn't my cup of tea
I was enthralled from the very beginning. From being a vampire, to rushed to a strange coven to escape danger, and finally recovering memories of her magic, Larissa's life becomes a chaotic whirlwind. A must read if you enjoy witches, werewolves, vampires and do much more.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. The quality of the editing (in terms of proofreading) seemed to be less in the later books, but not enough to deter me from wanting to see the adventure through! Will definitely be sharing the series with others and checking out more of the author's works.
I'm pretty sure these were written using AI and then edited by the authors. like they took a few popular novels and told AI write a series like this, this, and this. the story is not original it has weird off sentences and repetitive language with clichés. There are far better series to read, don't waste your time.
This was a fantastic read from start to finish, it would make a fantastic series of films if you think Harry Potter & Twilight books & films Were good this is better. We need another follow up series well done David Clark
If you like a good witchy/vampire/werewolf story then you'll love these books! Really well told from a teenage (but actually elderly) vampire-witch's point of view. I hope there's more to come!
I have just finished the series 1-7. The characters were well written. The suspense continued from one book to the next. The ending was surprising. I recommend reading this series.
This series kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire series. The characters were amazing and the storyline was unique. If you like vampires, witches and shifters you need to read this series. I absolutely loved it.
There was quite a few places where I was going to give up on the book and move on to another series. I preserved and read it all. The whole series of books could be written in five books if all the unnecessary drama descriptions were halved.
The Coven Cove series is an entertaining read. It certainly is not original, and the inspirations that it borrowed are easily identified. The writing descends into hyperbole more than it should, but it is a nice, happily ever after series.
Amazing entry into a well created world of vampires, witches, and shifters that is different from the usual fare. Fabulous story woven smoothly and very much recommended!
Thoroughly enjoyed this series. The descriptive terms were fabulous! I could see and feel each page. I would suggest this series to others without hesitation.
