Piglet wants to play with his friends in the Hundred-Acre Wood, but one by one they all rudely shut him out for one reason or another. But when Piglet finds a cool new game to do on his own, the little jerks all come creeping around wanting to join in. Convenient epiphanies have them realize the error of their ways and get forgiven by Piglet.
Meh.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list... )
A good book! It's sad when no one wants to play with you, but sometimes, that's how it is. Piglet makes up his own game to play by himself. The others see how much fun he's having, and ask to play too. He has to decide whether to forgive, and let them play, because he knows how much it hurts to be left out. Or keep playing by himself. Quite good!
This book was super cute. If your kids are having a hard time playing with each other, read this to show them how it makes someone feel. It would be a good calm down book after recess, and the pictures are supper cute. I'm always a fan of Piglet, and the fact that he is the better person in this book makes me extremely happy!!!
