Take, take, take was all Noel Robins knew. She is the product of get it by any means necessary. She’s also a woman that finds joy in the holidays totally different from the world. However, when she wanders off into the wrong house, she’s left with an ultimatum that changes her agenda completely.
Xavier Knight has nothing for Graceland Heights, at least that’s what he thought when he moved away. Now, he finds himself back in the same place he tried to forget. A snowstorm caught him by surprise locking him down and isolating him from society. It was just his luck, that life hit him with one hell of a snowball before Christmas.
Family tends to make you do things you wouldn’t think twice about. Also, family isn’t always categorized by blood. Those individuals are the most influential.
Silent Knight was a sweet romance story centered around the Christmas holiday. Noel and her best friend, Sabrina, have plans to rob the home of Xavier Knight, but on the night, they are in for the shock of their lives. Xavier is in the process of moving back to his hometown, and the last thing he expected was for someone to come into his space and take from him. Just think, if Home Alone was a romance story with black characters, that would perfectly describe the beginning of the book. Noel and Sabrina’s mutual understanding was if they ever got caught, the other would save themselves. Fortunately for Noel, she has a history with Xavier, and that was her saving grace. Xavier made her a deal: spend Christmas with him. Their years of mutual pining and sexual frustrations were the cherry on top. Noel brought the Christmas cheer back into Xavier’s life, and he offered more than a few “gifts” for her. It was really cute and I was squealing at how easy it was for the two to fall in love.
This was a second chance love story of sorts, but not really because they were kids the last time they interacted. However, both of them knew they had a special connection despite not being of an age to act on it. The author didn't do a good job of addressing their past. It was glazed over and Noel, the FMC was expected to just get over it. Xavier and Noel connected sexually, but everything else between them was fluff. There were no conversations about what caused him to put distance between them. Then the storyline about Sabrina being the only one to help Noel was weak AF. It's been over 10 years girl, this was the best you could do for yourself? Then it was disjointed. You had the random carpentry elements that kept coming up, but there was no closure. The situation with Sabrina with no closure, left a lot more to be desired.
I love a fast paced love story, but this one lacked execution, cohesion, and real development of the characters.
For what it was worth, I think this book had a great opening. But I just did not connect with the characters, and the storyline fell flat after about 20 pages. DNF.
Noel and her bestie Sabrina had the inside scoop on the home they planned to rob but wasn’t expecting the owner, Xavier, to return early and throw a monkey wrench in their scamming ass activities. Luckily for Noel, she has history with Xavier and instead of calling the cops, he uses it as an opportunity to rekindle the spark they had years ago. This definitely wasn’t the Silent Night I was expecting, but I was thoroughly entertained with this version. Xavier and Noel knew they wanted to be together so it didn’t take long for their spark to burst into flames despite Noel needing a tad bit more convincing. At this point, I think the forced proximity trope is growing on me, because I ate up the snowed-in action. Overall, this is a short and sweet story about second chances and perfect timing. I did want them to communicate a little more but I think “Silent Knight” is worth reading
A nice holiday story! Xavier and Noel reconnecting wasn't ideal, but when a Higher power is in the midst anything can happen! Noel was doing what she had to do, for a friend! The loss of a n loved none can bring on such sadness, that the point of the holiday fall by the waist side! I love how Xavier brother supported him in every way. I hope to see more of Xavier and Noel!
I didn't know what to expect from Xavier once he found them but the way things played out was really nice. I was really hoping Sabrina wouldn't ruin things for her friend when she came back but I'm glad that it didn't happen. This was a nice story of old friends reuniting in unlikely circumstances and going for it. I loved it.
Aye yo Connie… babygirl you gave us Silent Knight hunni .. It was suspenseful, entertaining, enjoyable, steamy and well written! Ho ho ho 👅Silent Knight or loud moans 🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🌶️Must Read loved it great storyline
Fate always crashes through like a wrecking ball we can accept or crumble. Love has no time line we’re not always ready than God intervenes placing us where we are supposed to be.
A cute second chance holiday romance. It was very unconventional how Noel and Xavier came back together. However, fate brought the soulmates who never stopped loving each other back together
X and Noel were fated as children, but life separated them. The way they reconnected was unconventional, but it worked. Noel had her protector back and Xavier got his girl. Sabrina def gave “ick” vibes to me though. Cassius was hilarious and the brotherly banter was enjoyable. I wouldn’t mind an update on these two.
i loved this read… Please deliver Xavier to me Santa because he was everything. I love a good second chance romance and Noel and Xavier fit together like hand and glove i can’t wait to read more about them.
This is a romantic book with a lil hood in it. Xavier was so passionate about Noel. He wasted no time letting her know that he wanted her. This book had all the romantic feelings in it for me. Very sensual
This was a holiday book with a twist! Noel ended up at the wrong house at the right time. I love forced proximity trope and Connie did it justice. This want your hallmark type of romance very unconventional, so I couldn’t resist I love a forced proximity trope. You have Noel thieving through the night and then Xavier morally Grey hero who doesn’t care about the holidays which is understandable. These two needed each other for the holidays. The spice the plot and their chemistry were off the charts. Of course being that it’s a novella I wanted more!( Voluntarily received this book arc all opinions are my own)
Noel and Sabrina thought that they were on a come up, but what they didn't realize picked the wrong house. It belonged to Xavier Knight who is Noel's first love. He made a deal with Noel, she would rather go to jail then to spend Christmas with him. Knight brought the rawest emotion out of her. She didn't want to feel any of that. Sabrina knew what Knight meant to her, so she was trying to get Noel to leave with her. Sabrina knew that coming to an end, also she was jealous. Knight proposed marriage and she said yes, he knew she wanted to go back to school but that when they were younger before he left her. Knight wanted what Cass has a family
Noel loss her true love 20+ years ago when they were teenagers. Imagine her surprise when she breaks into his house…not knowing who it belonged to and passes smooth out because she’s breaking and entering in the dead of winter with the flu! Xavier is floored when he realizes that it’s his Noel that is really attempting to rob him. He doesn’t call the cops, but bargains with her to stay with him until Christmas. This is his attempt to make amends for ghosting her and to see why she’s living a life of crime. He nurses her back to health in multiple ways and they get their hea. Happy Reading Y’all!💋 #chistmasinjuly2025
I enjoyed this second chance romance between Xavier and Noel. They fell in love as kids and life caused Xavier to leave town but once he came back fate took over and he got his girl and was able to confess his love to her to make it official. While I loved the chemistry with Xavier and Noel, I felt something was missing and I would have liked them to talk more about their lives while apart or what lead to Xavier leaving town to help bridge that gap. Even with that piece missing, this was a very cute short story that I would recommend for a quick read.
I was enjoying the beginning of this story, imagining it as a cute dramedy. But then the story became too unbelievable. Noel blaming her thievery on Sabrina? How’s a supportive friend blackmailing you into illegal activity? The length of time that passed since Knight and Noel had seen each other didn’t mesh with such unrequited passion, especially since they were never a couple before. I didn’t like the conversations between them either – they never seemed to resolve their feelings outside of the bedroom. I wish the author had made this pairing more believable.
I truly enjoyed this book!!!,..I was shocked at the fact that the girl Knight wanted was the very girl that had broken in his house!!!… There was definitely a level of love and trust that was within him to nurse her back to health and plan a future with her!!!… I kinda felt bad for Sabrina because she needed something that will guide her in the right directions and I was truly questioning if she was really concerned about Noel or figured her cash train was coming to an end!!!…
Can't go wrong with a Connie Easton read!!!! Love it! X is it!!!!! Yow, brother man is just awesome! Noel lucked up real good with that lick! The intimate scenes are steamy and saucy!!! Lighter!!!!! That voyeur scene though......mi like it!!!!!!! Kudos Ms Connie!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don't like Sabrina. That is it and that is all. Very short story and quick read. Noel and Xavier were always in love since their teen years finding that peace within each other. Unfortunately, life happened to Xavier and he couldn't deal so he left. Upon his unexpected return, him and Noel cross paths and it was up from there.
What's meant for you will happen Noel need him he came back at the right time Both Past wasn't good he lost his mom at young age And he disappeared from both the love of his life and Baby brother Cass
