Four great books brought alive by the Author. Learnt so much from them. I was born just below St Mary's Church in Scarborough in my Grandma's front bedroom. I know all the places mentioned in the books which brought memories back as I am now 81yrs old. Great read and sorry I have finished them.
Brilliant from start to finish lived getting to know all the characters very warm and heartbreaking at times couldn’t wait to read all 4 books definitely unputdownable Thankyou
Cringe...romance was the worst. Felt like there was a list of historical events the author wanted to include and he ticked them off as he finished the last ten chapters. Disappointing. As someone who has a family history in Yorkshire and immigrated to Perth I really wanted to love it.
