I received a gifted copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review as part of the book tour hosted by Lovebookstours.

Sherlock Bones I'd back with his latest puzzle adventure, Sherlock Bones, and the Mystery of the Vanishing Magician. With his trusty sidekick Jane Catson by his side and he needs help from the reader to help solve the case. This book is book 3 in the series and is set in Berlin. When the detectives are watching a magic show and Jane gets up to volunteer for a magic trick, the mystery begins to unfold. The book is interactive and is such a fun way to keep the reader engaged, thinking, and entertained. I did some of the puzzles with my ten year old daughter, and we both really enjoyed them. I love how the puzzles always fit so cleverly into the story and relate to it, too. I can't wait for the next instalment in this genius series!

Again we are back with Sherlock Bones the dashing dog detective and his kitty sidekick Jane Catson, time and time again I enjoy going on an adventure with these two lovable characters!

Our story opens with Bones and Catson watching a magic show in Berlin (where they had spent the last week helping a dog find his golden fetching stick) Catson, is annoyed when Bones keeps spoiling all of the tricks, so she decides to volunteer herself when the magician (The Great Otto) asks for some help on stage.

However, something very strange happens when Catson is on stage and this is where the mystery begins!

Throughout the story there are a variety of puzzles which help to move the plot along. They are all very well thought out, fun and nicely put together. All of the puzzles are story related and provide a fair challenge.

This was an easy 5 stars for me!

This story about Bones and Catson is even better than the last one. This time a big part of it is set in Paris where they take it upon themselves to stop two horrible criminals from stealing the famous "Mona Lemur".

Sherlock Bones is such a fun read! An engaging and entertaining story with lots of puzzles thrown in. I read this book with my daughter and she was so excited to work out all the puzzles and get involved. She has already asked me to buy her copies of the other books in the series so this has been a big hit.

The Sherlock bones books are phenomenal and such a great story to delve into! This is perfect for children and adults aswell, who love to get involved with the story and to help the detectives with their case. The element of the puzzles is very original and overall helps me to understand the story and the characters better. Definitely one of my favourite middle grade series! Would highly recommend to anyone of all ages!

I love these books, they are perfectly pitched for both children and adults to enjoy together with an excellent mix of detective story telling and puzzles sprinkled throughout the book.

In ‘The Mystery of the vanishing magician’, Bones & Catson are travelling overnight from Berlin to Paris when they notice that a fellow passenger has vanished into thin air. Working out who has taken him and why leads to a wonderful tale of intrigue and double-crossing criminal masterminds. In typical detective fashion, clues are given but I couldn’t spot them 😂 and read on to find out what the crooks wanted and how they were going to get it. The story is interlaced with 28 different puzzles too, ranging from spot the difference to word search, so if you need a break from crime fighting, there’s lots to choose from!

Another edition with Dr. Jane Catson and Sherlock Bones solving mysteries the world over. This time, the pair find themselves in the middle of an art heist in Paris for the Mona Lemur. I really do enjoy the play on words the author provides throughout this series.
The usual humour and fast pacing interspersed with puzzles to work out that sit alongside the storyline.
A great read for the whole family, where to next detectives?
