With the Christmas season fast approaching, a decades-long tradition looms closer. A tradition that is as macabre as it is longstanding. For every seventy years, the townspeople must choose who amongst them is to be sacrificed to Krampus.
At twenty-seven years old, Holly is still a virgin and determined to keep it that way. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she rejects the town’s mayor and is chosen as Krampus's sacrifice. Expecting to die at the hands of this cruel beast, Holly is shocked to learn that her new captor has different intentions in mind. Ones that will bind them together forever and leave her round with his child. Desperate for her freedom, she finds herself chained to the horrific creature as he seeks to claim more than just her body.
Despite his monstrous nature, Holly soon learns there is more to this Krampus than meets the eye.
Kristof, the only living Krampus, has lived alone for many years. Bound by his duty to continue his kind’s lineage, he eagerly awaits the arrival of his human offering. When he meets his virgin sacrifice, she is nothing short of perfection. The only issue is that her feelings are not reciprocated. In fact, she recoils at his mere presence. When Holly tries to flee, he has no choice but to shackle her to him. Will Kristof be able to show his new mate that they are more similar than she thinks? Or will the chains that bind them only serve to drive them further apart?
Chained to Krampus is a 12k word standalone novella
While K.L. Wyatt's latest shows an improvement in her smut, the writing itself is still extremely lacking. Tense changes all over the place, missed punctuation and misspellings galore, and a juvenile narrative voice. Coming in at 88 ebook pages, the complete lack of characterisation isn't surprising, but honestly that's forgivable because when you're reading a monsterfucker novelette, chances are you're not here for anything particularly literary. A feisty but insecure FMC and a soft, lonely MMC are safe choices for monster romance, and dual pov is always a treat.
If you want a seasonally appropriate, fun, short lil monsterfucker read for a night in or a long commute, Chained to Krampus is as decent a choice as any. But if you're an avid monsterfucker reader looking for something more fleshed out or reads closer to a more conventional romance, maybe look for something a little longer by a more experienced author.
Only now did I realise this was in fact written by the same person who wrote the infamous dry swamp anal orc novella. And now I know why this level of poor writing and cringe "pummel my pussy" smut sounded so familiar to me lol
I love K.L Wyatt and I actually pre-ordered this book and was lucky enough to get an arc a few days early for her new holiday release "Chained to Krampus"
This book follows Holly who was sacrificed to Krampus by her village on Christmas Eve. Holly thinks he plans to get her while Kristof the krampus has something very different in mind...
The Good This book was so much fun. I liked this Krampus concept a lot and I liked his design! (Check out the commissioned art... you won't be disappointed) This story was fast paced through allowed enough time for me to find the romance between Holly and Krampus to be very sweet and later very steamy.
Short and sweet. I just wish there was more chemistry.
Monster (krampus). Sacrificed FMC. Age gap (27 and 60+). Virgin FMC. Virgin MMC (implied). Long forked tongue. Dub con oral. Consensual sex. He saves her (wolf attack). Short. No plot. Low angst. Huge cock. Breeding. Mistletoe. No OMD/OWD. No cheating. No breakup. Epilogue 2 years later with a baby.

Yes, If you’d love a short insta love smut read between a cinnamon roll Krampus and his kidnapped human bride.
No, if you want a well written story.
This one was such a disappointment. I don’t have KU, so I bought the book from the author on TikTok. This seems like a rough first draft and very juvenile writing. Everything from smut to plot seemed cringey, as if a teenager wrote it.
I read the sample chapter for her Barbarian book and that one seems much more well written. I know this is just a tiny novella (5 chapters), but it could have been worked on more.
I need like 5-7 business days to sort my thoughts on this out 😂 the smut was fine and I was good with the “plot” too but there were some questionable undertones
I didn’t anticipate I’d ever be kicking my feet thinking how cute Krampus is but here we are. Short but cheesy and sweet, it was a cuter read than I thought it’d be. Loved Holly and Krampus together 🤗
A quick and short Christmas smutty read, I liked the cute story of Holly and Kristoff as being a virgin to be sacrificed to Krampus results in a quick love story. Holly is offered to be sacrificed to Krampus as every 70 years a virgin is sacrificed for such purposes, she comes to claim her sacrifice and he takes her to his cave where the act must be completed so that the mating ritual can be completed. Kristoff is one of the many Krampus that have been in history that must continue with his lineage getting a human woman every 70 years, I enjoyed the fact that it was a lineage of Krampus instead of just one gives a different touch to this retelling.
It's not the first work I read from Wyatt and I can say that he has improved a lot in terms of smut scenes and this little Krampus story I liked it a lot, it was sweet, and both characters loved it above all I was satisfied with the ending which was more than perfect.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to belong to the ARC team, I am leaving my voluntary and honest opinion.
This is the first time I have read a novel by K.L. Wyatt. I saw her page on TikTok and purchased the book bundle. I thought the novel would be longer, but it was not. The story is 61 pages and the rest is an excerpt from another story in this series.
The premise of Krampus and Holly was a good one. However, I felt like the story was unfinished. Due to the length of the story, everything is in fast motion. They meet, fall in love, have a mishap or two, and then HEA. I think there were issues raised by either Krampus or Holly that were not fully explored. I don't want to give examples for fear of giving spoilers. However, it was like, "Oh what about this?" and then we don't hear anything about that issue; like it was magically resolved. The steam level was about 2 jalapenos for me. I like things a little more gritty in the "honky-tonk" department. Overall, this was a good super quick read.
I have read a couple of K.L. Wyatt's books and I'm started to see a pattern. I really loved the premise of this book and the cover was gorgeous, but it probably should have been at least 100 pages longer. The story starts off great, but it felt rushed by the end. I honestly wish we got to see more character development rather than being told it happened. The switch between captor/captive and fated mates happened so quickly that it felt inorganic to me. Otherwise, I did really enjoy the fluff moments between Kristof and Holly. Also, learning bits and pieces of his childhood with his Krampus father and human mother was some of my favorite parts. Still, if you are looking for a quick, straight to the point monster holiday romance with some smut, this is the perfect read.
Reading this is like reading something a 12 year old wrote when they first realized they could use word document. There was clearly no editor because there are so many punctuation and grammar/spelling errors. That being said, if you like insta-love, poorly written smut, cringe dirty talk, and not using a single brain cell when you read, this is the book for you LMAO.
I was expecting it to be very cheesy, cringey and fast paced but fun and entertaining read; however it sadly was not as fun as I was hoping it would be. Thankfully I didn’t spend my own money on this but I feel bad my partner wasted theirs.
I wouldn’t recommend this really, even if you do like just short and sweet goofy stories. The premise had promise, but did not delivery all the well.
✨ARC reader review✨ ... The plot for this book was fantastic! Umm, smutty holiday monster romance?! Sign me up!! ... I really enjoyed Holly and Kristof's characters. With how short the story was I was worried that their might be too much spice, as some novellas tend to do, but the author did a good job making sure it wasn't all just spice.
The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is mostly due to the fact that the book was less than 80 pages. And with this plot line, I feel like the book should've been a bit longer so that the reader could have more information and insight on the whole romance and background of the characters. ... 👹Monster MMC 👹Breeding 👹Sacrifice 👹Virgin FMC
This book had me from the first line “Twas the night before Christmas, and here I am chained and gagged.” These 2 were actually so wholesome and sweet to eachother. They turned their cave into a home and ended up being such a cute couple. They had their little Christmas traditions of finding a tree and decorating it, kissing under the mistletoe, and of course, being chained together ☺️ And the spice! Whew! 🥵🥵
✨Krampus x human ✨Fated Mates ✨Virg!n FMC ✨ Forced proximity ✨dirty talk
Highly recommend. This is perfect for monster lovers who want some holiday cheer.
Even as a novelette, this is shorrrrt at only 61 pages. I wasn't sure if the punctuation and spelling mistakes in my copy were part of the "flawed" batch I bought from, but it's very hard to not see the writing as amateurish because of them...
As for the story itself, it's very bare-bones and simple. Don't expect a super immersive world or a frame of reference to any specific time/year or region in the world. The smut had potential, but was so sparse in favor of a short, quick, and pretty boring romance. This was fun and festive but ultimately just a one and done that I'm happy to have only paid 10 bucks for.
This was such a quick read. I had planned it for the christmas season but was a little late. VERY fast pace story, imprinted love, still cute, and what that tongue do damn! I loved the idea of Krampus being more of a title thats passed down than a single entity. Also, I could be wrong but I don't think they ate anything at all through the book. That would have been a nice little bonding moment that could have made their story a little more believable. Because woof that was fast. Also, my favorite quote was "I know I'm falling in love with Kristof, and it's not because of the imprinting..." Yeah okay girl keep telling yourself that.
I decided to pick a book that was like really quick and really short. I didn't expect this to be that short at about 60 pages only. It was okay but I felt like two things that would make us better would be more sex scenes for majority of the book and maybe just have Holly be fully on board with the breeding and the pregnancy right off the bat. Mainly because it's such a short book. Her being defensive and not wanting him only lasted so long. If there was more time in the book, if there was more pages then I feel like her being against it would be a lot more smoother transition. But other than that it was really quick so not much else to say about it.
This was a cute novella about a virgin getting sacrificed to krampus because she refused to marry the village leader Lex. So like any normal “heartbroken” man he decided to chain her up and sacrifice her to krampus. lol 😂
“I stand by my decision; I would rather get eaten by a Christmas goat demon than have to fuck Lex for the rest of my life. He is power-hungry, cruel, and smells like a rotting animal.”- Holly
But this short 62 page novela did not disappoint at all. He ate her up already 🖤😂🫣.
I definitely recommend this short read. I loved it
3 ⭐️ for actual writing & my enjoyment reading. But the vibes & premise could have been 4 stars, the execution just needed a little work. The NSFW art prints & stickers I got with my special order are honestly what make me the happiest.
This is less than 100 pages & I read it in less than an hour, so obviously I wasn’t expecting plot & character development. There were some typos, grammatical errors, tense-switching, and sometimes the syntax abruptly changed, which hurt my enjoyment. Smut was okay — not the spiciest, but also not the worst I have ever read. Still, all in all, a fun read!
This was a short holiday story and I absolutely felt annoyed at the FMC 🤦🏻♀️ I get that's she's a fighter but mashing that together with also being insecure... I just felt like she was being a brat 😭 no wonder krampus wanted her she was not nice... See what I did there 🤣🤣 but anyways different povs was fun to read and kinda felt cheesy for the FMC to be a fighter yet the MMC to be the soft one even though he's the MONSTER 🤣 But I guess it's a MONSTER ROMANCE 🤣❤️
Holly never dreamed she would end up as a sacrifice for the Krampus. She’s prepared herself to die when Krampus emerges in the night and sees her wrapped in chains. He approaches her curiously and it’s not long before Holly realizes she is being sacrificed for a very different reason than what she had thought.
This was monster smut but it was so sweet and so cute. It had it’s own theme and was in a very different place but it read like an Ice Planet Barbarian novella and I loved that about it.
A nice little christmas Novella. This is the first book by this author I've read.
It seemed somewhat rushed. A few spelling and grammar issues. (No one is perfect, I get it)
The story was cute and contained 2 spicy scenes. The story is spread across the main characters first few days together. (And included a short epilogue).
Overall~ yes. Read it. It took me about an hour to finish and I dont regret it. (If you order from the TT shop from the author, you get cute art to go with it). I just wish it was longer and went thru another round of edits to check for mistakes.
