These books are hard to rate. I think, overall, they were pretty well written and the story was compelling enough. I think there were a few things holding it back though. The characters could have used a little more personality IMO to make them more memorable and relatable. There was a lot of little filler too, that could have been cut (IE, too much talk about food or organizing offices, etc).
Although the plot was interesting and kept me reading, I still didn’t get all the answers I wanted!! I know that happens in real life too, but this isn’t real life. This is crazy, fictional, soap opera life. What was Oliver thinking?! I’d pay money for a chapter or two from his POV to get closure on all that. At the end we learn that Oliver ALSO had a rabies shot and I was convinced something else was going to happen, but… nope. I knew this was going to be a HEA, but how great of a twist would it have been to learn that it really was Oliver and he was aware of everything/planned it? I mean, yeah, that would lead to a depressing ending, but it would have been kinda awesome.
