There’s always room for one more! Three best animal friends include a fourth for a picnic in this gentle, pastoral story.
Panda Foo, Jigger, and Boodle have planned a picnic. But when Foo announces that he has invited his new friend, Curly, Jigger and Boodle have lots of questions. Is she big? Small? What does she like? Why is she called Curly? Sometimes new ideas take a little time to get used to — and sometimes new friends make picnics even better! From Mary Murphy comes a simple, comforting tale about the quiet pleasures new experiences can bring.
Children's author and illustrator Mary Murphy enchants even the youngest of readers with her bold style, combining eye-catching graphics and a bouncy text that seemingly jump off the pages.

This story idea has the potential to be great, but it just fell flat. It was a bi boring and the illustrations weren't good enough to pull it up from 2 stars. Sign, normally I love Mary Murphy, but this one just didn't work for me.
A new friend is introduced by Panda Foo. The other friends are anxious regarding meeting a new friend but soon get over their anxiousness. The story shows it is ok to be nervous but that once meeting the new friend, they all got along and had a great time playing.
Immensely cute story of new friends going on a picnic. Interestingly shows anxiety about meeting new people, but also very comforting with reassurance!
Fairly inspid story, cute illustrations. I thought it was interesting that all the creatures featured in this story came from China. Otherwise, it just didn't appeal to me or our girls.
