Zadom: Gifted. Obedient. Deadly. Students. Next Generation 2

Rate this book
For my entire life, I have known who I am and been certain of my destiny. My place was with my sister, Zhavia, and her team as their protector and handler. At least that’s what I thought until my life was turned upside down.

I was given the choice to save my sister or the girl from my dreams. It should have been easy. Instead, I was torn in two, and for the first time in my life, I froze. After forcing Zhavia to walk with me into an unknown situation, my ego put everyone I care about in danger.

Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, hooded strangers come to our aid. I’m Zadom Olympia and I don’t need anybody’s help. However, when lives are at risk, you take it no matter how suspicious it may seem.

The newcomers open doors I didn’t know existed, revealing that everything I thought I knew is wrong. Bonds are created—ones I didn’t ask for—yet day by day, I find myself accepting them, needing them, and protecting them. They are mine, and if anyone dares touch what belongs to me, they won’t like the consequences. I don’t care if they are my parents.

When the people I love are in danger, I need to do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Even if that means sacrificing myself. I have never worked well in a team—I don’t know how—but somehow have I found the ones who will risk it all to save me.

This book is why choose, all of the characters are together in some way by the end of the book. Zadom's book concludes the next generation duet.

'I couldn't live without them. I don't think I would survive it, but if you tell anyone, I'll fucking kill you.'

And with that the universe of Olympia is over. 😢 I really did enjoy this duet and the Trilogy before it quite a lot. 🤗 There were parts I loved and parts I didn't like so much, but overall, I don't have anything too negative to say. ☺️ Really loved the storyline like i was so heavily invested in what the heck was going on in Olympia it was not funny. 😅 I felt like I was reading one of those SciFi teen stories like Maze Runner or Divergent, etc. but instead of it being YA, this was all amped up with some intense smutty af scenes. 🥵 If you are looking for some Harem Dark Romance smut that has a storyline that you won't really expect when going in completely blind you might be pleasantly surprised. 😁

This book starts right from the crazy cliffhanger we had at the end of Zhavia, and we finally get to see what happens. This book is full of surprises, the biggest being the team dynamic completely switching from everything we’ve known in the G.O.D.S. world.

I absolutely loved the dynamic in Zadom’s team! It’s different from what we’re used to, and it made me love Zadom. He was so aggressive and pretty much didn’t like anyone other than his sister…until his team. They brought out the absolute best in him! I cannot put into words how much I loved every scene where he was taking care of Kit. Zadom, True, Kit, Ames, Haven, and Zepp all have such different personalities and abilities, but they mesh really well together. It was nice that it wasn’t an instant bond/love with all of them; we got to see them gradually build that relationship.

Another thing I really enjoyed was the unique abilities Zadom and his team have. I always find in books like this that the abilities/powers are the same ones we’ve seen a thousand times, but the ones they have in this were different.

The big plot twist was crazy and very unexpected! There’s a bit of action, funny moments, and plenty of steamy scenes! The spicy MM scenes are off the charts! The ending was perfect and so sweet! I’m crossing my fingers that we will get more books in this amazing world.

That ending! Seriously… I almost dropped my ereader for how surprised I was. Not a bad surprise, but definitely a twist I didn’t see coming.

At the start of this book, the author posted a warning not to read “Zadom” if you’re not a fan of MM in a harem and she was right doing that. The flow of this book leads up to a polyamorous family, and with the main focus on one of the male characters it feels even more centered around the relationships between the men. This book actually reminded me a little of Crea Reitan’s work right now, where even when a woman is involved she feels more like a side character or at least not more important than the different men that are involved. It doesn’t influence me to like a book or not, but I know that’s not the case for all readers.

While I enjoyed the plot of this book, I have to admit I had a hard time liking Zadom. Usually that changes towards the end of a book with alphaholes like him, but I have to admit my feelings didn’t change that much this time. As a result, I liked this one a little less compared to Zhavia’s story. Nevertheless, I’m happy for this view in these characters’ lives and I wouldn’t mind more books about them or their siblings in the future.

loved this duet

omg jaye Pratt has done it again I loved this duet I love zhavia and zandom I loved their connection. but you knew zadom was missing something and when his team came wow you wrote those characters well haven the one who can match zandoms mood. zepp who can challenge zandom, Ames the healer of the group and kit the brains of the group and my fave I love kit I love the way they all take care of him. and true the Angel of the story. Thank you for writing the next generation of g.o.d.s I love. this series and did not want to leave this world. I would love to see more of zhavia and zandoms teams but I know their story is done. so I agree. with your daughter let's have kenji and halos story but pls make sure zandom, zhavia and their teams have cameos. and jolie and their dad's . If you haven't read G.O.D.S I recommend you do amazing series sad that it has ended.

Zadom picks straight back up with the action from the end of the first book. So you must read the first book Zhavia before reading this book.

This was a great ending to the duet & I didn't see some of the twists that came in this book, particularly the one at the end. It is heavy on the MM so if that isn't your thing then this book isn't for you. This book really explores Zadom coming into his own & finally finding his place in this crazy universe.

Of course there are lots of challenges & tests that he & the others must overcome. I loved the character growth that happens in this book by all the characters. I hope this really isn't the end of this world!!!

Some of the themes/tropes in this book are:

*Multiple POV's
*MMMMMF
*Genetically Engineered Humans
*Family
*2nd Generation

I was fortunate to receive an advance copy of this book & this is my honest opinion.

Jaye does it again and again and again. I was so excited to read Zadom’s book and let me tell you it did not disappoint! You must read Zhavia prior as it starts right up where Zhavia ended. Zadom is fierce, protective and I really love their pack. Zadom will do just about anything to protect the person who haunts his dreams and takes everyone along with him, even if danger is lurking. Don’t be surprised as the steam was off the charts and a lot of MM. I love reading about the second generation as the Gods series was killer and family means everything. This is another must read!

I was so fortunate to be a part and read this book as an ARC and highly recommend. Be sure to read the Authors Note as it may not be a read for everyone.

Jaye keeping us on our toes again!

Did I see book 2 going this way no. Am I glad she wrote it this way YES.

Zadom picks up where Zhavia left off. Now I’ll give you the warning Jaye gave us….. if you’re not a fan of MM then this book isn’t going to be for you….

I’m gonna try and do this as spoiler free as I can.

Just like Zhavia… Zadom fines his team however his team is a little different than the norm. Zadom is the focus of his team not the mystery girl from everyone’s dreams.

Just because he’s the focus doesn’t mean he won’t do anything to protect the ones he loves. He’s still the fierce Zadom we fell in love with in previous books.

This book has steam! So again if MM isn’t your thing… you’ve been warned.

Before Jaye Pratt even wrote this book I knew I was gonna love it. I loved Zadom in Zhavias book he reminds me so much of Boston. Before reading this book you need to read Zhavias book. This is 2nd generation of genetically altered humans group of 6 people all linked to love the heart of the group their 6th member. Zadom has struggled to find where he belonged all his life he's been protective of his sister and family. He's very antisocial and is forced into his group he didn't know existed and he does not like change. If you're not good with MM you might wanna skip this one but it's amazing to watch all the relationships grow and Zadom grow as a person. The ending was unexpected but that's what makes a great book. Jaye Pratt makes amazing worlds I never wanna leave.

This book is truly a why choose romance! It is not insta-love and it takes some time for some of these relationships to develop which I enjoyed. I loved all the dynamics and tension between all of these characters. I love this world that Jaye Pratt has created and this book just makes me want more.

I absolutely loved Zadom. He is a bit gruff and takes some time to warm up but I just want more of him! I loved his team and each of them complement a certain part of Zadom. I would love to see Zadom and his team in the future because I just need more of them.

If you are looking for your next why choose or just love the world that Pratt created with the GODS series then you need your read this right away. Such a great book!!!

Having already read Zhavia's book I was keen to get my hands on her twin brother Zadom's book too. He was a bit of complicated character in his sister's book and very much an anti-social & fists-first kind of guy. More so towards his sister who he was fiercely protective of. He was so far out of his comfort zone with his new team/harem but as the book progressed their dynamic changed as they got to know each other. With plenty of witty banter and steamy scenarios between all of them. Intertwined with that was some brilliant plot twists and turns including a jaw droppingly good one towards to end of this book. Just so bloody good!!!

I loved this book as an escape, this author is amazing at the worlds she creates, very artful, you'll seamlessly transition from one outlandish scenario to the next without even realizing and rest assured, although you'll get to know all of them, a clear favorite will emerge, if your anything like me anyway. I loved getting to know on a deeper level Vadom and his pack while also catching up on the goings on of Zhavia and hers. Theres a LOT of twists in the book, deceptions and misdeeds brought into the light. I don't want to give anything away, you need to know this next generation for yourself. Jump into Jaye Pratts world its amazing, funny and hot, everything you expect from this author

Book 2 continues to keep you guessing as to where the next generation will take you.

Zadom continues to struggle to find where he belongs. The teams and their dianamics test his thoughts on what he be his place.

There is plenty of action drama humour and new beginnings.
This storyline features Zadam and his journey of discovery.

Lust, love and fierce need to protect the ones he loves.
A engaging storyline that will keep you guessing on how his team will function.

Highly recommended reading.

Fantastic finish!

Just when you thought you had a good understanding of everything...bam!

I loved the original series and I have loved Zhavia and Zadoms books even more.

The character arc of Zadom was fantastic, to see a softer side to him and finally get an understanding of the whys and the how's was great.

True and Kit were adorable! I think Zippy stole my heart though. This book is very heavy on the MM but it was a great twist and the dynamic of Zadom's team was another layer.

Really Enjoyed

After reading Zhavia’s book, I was desperate to see more of her and her men as well as my mind being bl0wn by the ending. I couldn’t wait for this book. Zadom’s book was everything I was expecting and yet so much more. If you love a good meat feast then read this book, it will definitely have you reading one handed. It’s been a while since I read a book with scenes as hot as in this. I loved his team, and how different they each are but I loved seeing a different side to Zadom compared to what I’d seen in Zhavia’s book. A really enjoyable read

After finishing the first book Zhavia that finished on a huge cliffhanger, I couldn't wait to jump straight into Zadom to see what was going to happen next. This book definitely did not disappoint and was a fabulous ending to this duet. I really enjoyed seeing the different layers to all the characters as they developed throughout these two books and the fast paced, action packed story full of twists, spice and drama keeps you on the edge of your seat. Loved this book and can't wait to read more from this author!!

I was a bit worried when I realized this book was going to be all about Zadom because I loved Zhavia so much, but I actually ended up loving him even more!
There's so many facets to him and his story and it makes for an amazing book. There's so much development of all the characters and they're so different, I really enjoyed that.
However, it ruining my views of their parents even more than Zhavia's book which makes me so sad after loving them in G.O.D.S.... And it ending felt a bit underwhelming, specially considering the other books in this world, but I also see why it makes sense.

Zadoms book starts off exactly where we were left in Zhavias book ....... with the crazy cliffhanger 😂 this book was amazing! It had so many twists and turns that I did not expect I was literally sat there with my Kindle with my mouth agape wondering what the hell was happening because I did not have it figured out at all 😂 ..but it ties everything together so bloody well! Jaye truly outdid herself with this book and all its plot and twists 🙌 side note.... The crossovers between the characters is exactly what I wanted! Just amazing!

I was so excited to read the follow up to Zhavia. It did not disappoint. The growth in the team dynamics and personal relationships was great to read. The spice was top notch! Normally I can see a twist coming a mile away, but I actually did not catch the big one until it was already unraveling! What a great turn! I’m sorry to see this world go, but who knows, maybe the author will visit it once again in the future. Of course, please check all content and trigger warnings before reading. I look forward to seeing what the author writes in the future. I was fortunate enough to receive an arc copy of this book. This review is my own personal opinion.

I'm giving this book 4 stars.
3 because I love the universe and most of the characters
And another one for Kit alone. Seriously he was the best and should have been the main character instead of True.
Outside of that, this duet pissed me off. The parents from the original series basically turned into the "bad guy" from the original series. They even excuse away their actions in this duet, just like Mr. Z did in the original. And then the conflict with them isn't even resolved by the end of the book and this is the end of the series.

Incredible end to the twins books. I loved Zadom and all his possessiveness just like his dad's. It was action-packed and filled with plenty of steam. If you love your why choose with plenty of swords then you need to definitely read this book. Amazing five-star that I would highly recommend. I'm hoping we get more from this universe because I just love all these characters. I now need to go reread the G.O.D.S series again.

This second book was fantastic! You definitely need to read Zhavia first before jumping into this one. Zadom spends book one talking with his fists and protecting his twin, Zhavia. When he gets his own pack, he's not quite sure how to navigate it. There are many plot twists and secrets in this book, along with some heavy spice, including sword crossing. I loved this book and can't wait to see what Jayne has planned next!

Wow. Just loved this book. Love Zadom and his teammates. His team brought out the best in him which is so amazing. He finally found his place with his teammates. Lots of twist and turns. Action packed. This books continues from the Zhavia’s book. Which is an awesome book and you have to read it before Zadom’s book. The ending of this book took me by surprise. Great book. Thank you Jaye Pratt for another amazing book.

This book continues on from Book 1 Zhavia. You will not be disappointed. Zadom finds his Team when he finds True who he is drawn to.. There was so many twists and turns and the ending Holly hell I did not see that coming. I love the story how Zadoms team came about and the struggles each one felt trying to be part of a team and how they all fit together.Need to be okay with MM as spicy. Jaye Pratt is a fantastic writer. ❤️❤️

I wasn’t sure how Jaye was going to pull off Zadom’s independence from Zhavia but this book is everything I hoped for and more! Zadom grows so much and he finally finds himself, which is so important (and not just to him). I really enjoyed watching Zadom come together with his team and it certainly wasn’t easy but it was absolutely worth it. Such a wonderful duet!

Zadom!!!! My man! I have been waiting to sink my teeth into this book (patiently). It starts off right where Zhavia ends. So you will definitely need to read that first before diving in. If you think you know what’s really going on, you don’t. I loved how Zay’s team finally came together. Physically, emotionally, mentally, and the steam is on point between them all. Loved this book so very much! And OF COURSE I NEED Kenji’s book next!!!!!

This book was so good! Zadom is a jerk through most of it, but once he isn't, he's awesome. Always trying to protect people, he finally gets protection from the people he needs it from. Would love some novellas showing us future glimpses of Zhavia's and Zadom's teams.

I love how we dive straight in from the cliffhanger we were left with in Zhavia's book! This book is fast paced non stop action. A few twists I was not expecting along the way! Thoroughly enjoyed the book, Zadom softens a bit and it's lovely to see.
