Rate this book
Phoebe Warren is a part-time substitute teacher and full-time pilates instructor. When she meets the dad of one of her students, sparks fly. But can she trust that he's as good as he seems?

Garreth Harrison doesn't have time for dating. He's a single dad, and no one ever catches his eye… until he meets his daughter’s new substitute teacher. He’s smitten–but weary. Garreth wants someone who wants to build a life with, not a fling.

Once her substitute teaching job is over, Phoebe assumes she won’t see the hot dad from drop-off again. But their paths keep crossing in the most unexpected ways.

Can they get past their unlikely conflicts outside of the classroom and in the bedroom?

Will their undeniable chemistry lead to something more?

And will these two move past the flirty fun into real and possibly forever?

This was a very fun read. I giggled and smiled the whole time reading this. It is very steamy as well but so worth the read!

This was a cute easy spicy read. A single dad, opposites attract romance. I loved that the characters were late in their 30s and each had a full life and careers before meeting. It was so relatable and enjoyable. The spicy scenes were well done and not over the top but hit just right. The back and forth banter was nice. I got a bit irritated with the insecurities of the female lead until I realized ‘oh my gosh that is totally me’ so jaded by my past and hurt that its so hard to believe anyone can love me and want to be with me. It was enjoyable feeling connected to both characters as I am a single mother and am terrified of even the thought of bringing a man into my kids lives but also being a woman with needs and wants. I really liked the side characters and hope that once more books are written in this series they are of the other characters because I am totally invested in what their stories can be. Glad I got this book in a book box! Excited to see what more this author comes out with!

This was a cute, simple romance. The writing was pretty straightforward, but I still liked it. That said, I did have an issue with these grown adults in their late 30s acting like they were in their 20s. That was a bit of a turn-off for me. I cannot stand miscommunication (or just a total lack of communication) in books, it’s beyond annoying. I also wish the single dad aspect played a bigger role. I was hoping for more of those sexy single parent vibes, but the little mentions didn’t really hit for me. Overall, it was an easy, light read, nothing groundbreaking, but still cute!

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Phoebe & Garreth were fire when they hooked up and I liked that they did other things before jumping to sex. The secondary characters were fleshed out well & gave such great layers of complexity to the story. I’ll be looking for more books by this author.
I will admit catching the misspellings of Garreth’s name was annoying, but proofreading isn’t perfect.

This book is a pretty quick read. The intimacy is good.. the story line is kind of soft and expected. If you are looking to try romance reading I would recommend this. If you already know you like romance books don't bother unless you need something quick to cleanse the pallet.

Single Dad Romance.

Unfortunately, I had to DNF. I might come back to it but at this point it just didn't suck me in. The two main characters were frustrating and for being in their late 30s and early 40s, they were acting like teenagers. To me, the dialogue did not flow well and it just seemed like the author was trying to make a word count goal.

Phoebe and Garreth are the main couple. They meet at his daughter's school. Phoebe is Gracie's teacher. Garreth automatically gave me the creeps which probably wasnt the author's intention. Like I know you have this instant attraction, but do you gotta have a hard on and imagine Phoebe on her knees in front of you while you are surrounded by kids. He was disgusted with himself and so was I. This was probably the part that made me not want to continue which is odd cause I read a lot of dark romance which has wayyy too many triggers.

I try not to DNF books cause authors really put so much thought and time into their books, but I just was not able to finish this.

If anyone does finish this, please let me know how it ends and if it is worth it to continue.

Happy Reading!!!!

Loved the book. Finished it in 1 day. The only bad thing I could say about it is the errors of not using the right words. It got to be so many that I started keeping track. 1 or 2 is expected but this was a short book and many errors. Did a human read this book before it went to the printer? Spellcheck will only get you so far. Here's one example

Garreth muttered something under his breath was sounded like "jackass"

Lots of spice

This book was way spicier than I anticipated. The couple was a little opposites attract. The single dad part was there but not really as big of a part in the story as I thought it would be. The kid was with family members most the time so not many interaction s between the h and the kid or even the H and his kid. I did like the banter all the characters had with eachother. It just took me some time to get into the story being told in 3rd person. Overall it was a cute, spicy read.

Cute story

It was a sweet quick read, but I just couldn't get behind the constant hot and cold. I felt like the issues that were causing issues in their relationship were so minor that a fight was pointless and irritating. Other than that, I liked the characters and am really interested in some future for Jessa and Cole!

A fun read, the author really sets up great characters. Emotions are captured, therapy isn't stigmatized, and the spice is enjoyable! The author does a wonderful job with their intro, can't wait to read more from them!

How do you know when you meet the real guy for you? Phoebe has been trying for a while and has not met him yet. She does not even think she will ever find the right man. So she decides to follow her dream. She started a temporary job as a substitute teacher for pre K kids. And she is also Pilates instructor. When one of her new students comes in with their father Phoebe stands frozen. There is something about him that connects with her. Gracie is her new student and her father is Garrett. WOW! Could he be it? Well, we shall see.
