Unfortunately, this book was not my favorite, which is a shame because the premise was good, and I felt like the idea for the plot was interesting. The writing didn't do it for me at all; I found the dialogues to be stiff, and the wording was often weird and even unnatural. The main character, Ricardo, was straight up insufferable, and I could not find anything that would appeal to me in his character or behavior. Beth wasn't even the center of this story until later. Contrary to the title, I felt like the author spent too much time exploring Ricardo's other relationships with different women (there was even a sex scene featuring some random chick out of nowhere). I found it difficult to get to the end of this book.

While working a case, Beth gets close to a man to gather information and in doing so feelings flourish between her and Ricardo. As their relationship builds secrets from her past has the ability to bring everything to a standstill. Do they have what it takes to build forge a path and take the next step to happiness. This story had me in their corner from start to finish.

Be prepared to be swept away by this book. The suspense and romance are so good it will have you begging for more to see what is going to happen next. Anna has written a book that will have you turning the pages and hooked from page 1. It's a must-read book by her.

captivating

At first, I thought this would just be a simple love story for her long I was I felt captivated by all of the characters involved, and the plots in the story and the twists. The story continues as it appears that Alex has more to say, with regard to former fiance‘s death.
