Templars in America #17

The Rosy Cross: Templar Quest for Immortality

Rate this book
A violent encounter in a hockey rink exposes historian Cameron Thorne to the secrets of the Philosopher’s Stone—an ancient alchemical formula allowing users to convert lead into gold and also produce an elixir which stops the aging process. Member nations of the BRICS coalition, sworn enemies of the Western democracies, are intent on using these secrets to destabilize the U.S. dollar in a quest for global dominance. Cam embarks on an exhilarating quest, realizing too late that the price to be paid for uncovering the mysteries of eternal life might be his own death.

Based on actual historical sources, and illustrated.

Publishers Weekly says of the author, "BRODY DOES A TERRIFIC JOB OF WRAPPING HIS RESEARCH IN A FAST-PACED THRILL RIDE."

This is a stand-alone novel with recurring characters. The books in this series can be read in any order.

A great read and his best yet! Whether you’re a first timer or you have already read all or some of David Brody’s “Templar In America”, you’re in for a treat. You’ll be sitting on the edge of your seat as you read. So many twists and turns of that could to be separate story lines but he’s a master of merging them to support the plot. As a RN for 47 years, I think in algorithms and David constantly keeps me off balance which I thoroughly enjoy. There are several “what the heck” moments and The Book of Morman Broadway play moments. He includes many well know characters, adds some new ones (usually the bad guys), and even the darn worm reappears. The Rosicrucians definitely add a new dimension to this series, paralleled with the Templars, Freemasons, etc.; same agenda with their own twists because everyone wants the Fountain of Youth since time immemorial. So let the hunt begin! Cam and Shelby to the rescue. And….what are we going to do with Georgia?!

This book starts with something that I found quite shocking which then forms an important thread for the rest of the story. I have read all the other books in "The Templars in America" series and enjoyed them all, and this book was no exception. As with others in the series, the book is well researched with photos as appropriate to back up the artefacts that are being talked about. The ideas put forward certainly make you think and wonder about the possibilities in the future. As with any good story, there are lots of plot twists where things aren't always as they seem which adds to making this book a very enjoyable read.

As with other books in the series, this book can be read as a standalone story.

Another excellent novel in this series.

Thanks again to Mr. Brody for another wonderful adventure in the world of Cameron Thorne. I truly enjoy these books because the characters seems so real, like someone you've known for many years. As always, a great mix of fiction and history That keeps you thinking all the way through the story. There's nothing better than a book that makes you use your mind, Almost like you're on the team helping them to solve the mysteries. As always, I hope there are more adventures on the way.

Another Brody gem….

I’ve read all the books in the series. Do yourself a favor and start with number 1 and move through them all to better understand the quality of the research that goes into these books. If Brody doesn’t make you scratch your head and question and think then there’s something not right within your noggin.

It was an adventure with twists and turns at every turn. Really good read. I have not read the others in the series but this one stood alone so it wasn’t big deal not to be reading in order. I will be going back and reading the others at some point. If you like Dan Brown you will enjoy The Rosy Cross….

Another good one

I seem to have read many books in this series each one is special in its own way with myths made temporarily believable. A great way of passing the time in a fantasy world

Fantastic story line filled with questions

Absolutely loved the story line amd it's links to history and hope it can be believed to have happened or to happen in our future. Loved the characters and their relationships.
