Tyler “Ty” Dickerson is the kicker for the California Wolves, one of the hottest teams to grace the NFL; not just by looks or player abilities, but by tempers. He has always been at the top of the list for the hottest temper, both on and off the field. His only solace is his best friend and tattoo artist, Jennifer “Jennie” Dodge. She can cool him down when he needs it.
But his stint in the limelight has not been to her liking and she often leaves his messages on “read” and his voicemails sitting in her inbox. However, when the time really comes to help him out of his bad mood, can she keep her distance? Or will she swallow her pride, her fear, and her past, and help him be the good guy she knows he can be? Can she help him gain that “Extra Point”?
Thank you Theresa Lambe for providing me with an early copy in exchange for my honest review!
This was an entertaining, short and hot read. Ty is a football player who has to redeem his reputation to save his career. In comes Jennie, his best friend, and hotness ensues.
Their relationship definitely escalated quickly. There isn't a lot of development, but I do like their chemistry and the agression they have towards others when they wrong either Ty or Jennie. I love myself some protective MCs!
There were a few things in the story that bothered me a little. Football isn't a thing in my country, and I was thus confused at times when they were talking sports. I get that Americans probably know all about it, but I definitely don't. There were also some repetitive elements, such as the '***damns' and 'naughty girl' (which personally always makes me cringe lol but that's a personal thing).
The 'bigger' issue were the mistakes in writing, those threw me off a bit. I bookmarked the ones that stood out the most, so please, Theresa, do contact me if you want me to send those to you!
Although some elements, such as the introduction of Vivian, could've been a bit more developed, it was an entertaining and quick read!
What a fun, quick, spicy, story! The writing was amazing and caught me from the beginning. It was a no-put down until finished type of book. Being a true football girly I completely was engrossed with the idea of a football player romance, spicy of course, And was not disappointed at all. If I could do anything to improve it it would be to make it three or four times as long with some football games in detail. I definitely look forward to reading more from this author and diving into her world more! As a deep fantasy reader these novella‘s are perfect to mix up the heavy world building at times.
Ty is a kicker on special teams in the NFL, and he has a bad temper the owners are giving him one more shot. He goes to his best friend Jennie to help him and he his girlfriend. They start going to events and the chemistry and attraction are through the roof. Can they be more than friends? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. This book was short, sarcastic, and spicy. I love Ty and Jennie, and their character development was amazing. Great supporting characters. You definitely need to go grab this book it’s so good
Ty DICKerson is a kicker with a bad attitude. When his career becomes threatened by bad publicity, he enlists his best friend (that was his high school girlfriend), Jennie, to be his fake girlfriend to clean up his image.
I love a second chance romance story, and Ty and Jennie didn't disappoint. I loved the way they had each other's backs like best friends while falling in love.
I really enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I normally don't go for football romance books, but this one was so well done! Ty is a kicker on a NFL team and he is told that he needs to clean up his image. He has been best friends with Jennie since they were in high school together. Jennie doesn't like the spotlight and is a bad-ass tattoo artist, who doesn't take shit from anyone. She always roots for Ty, whether he sees her or not, and is always there to be his voice of reason. So he propositions her to be his fake girlfriend while he is told to 'clean up his image'. Reluctantly she agrees, and their 'fake' relationship turns into something not so fake. Their chemistry is off the charts, and this book was so steamy, it was amazing!
A football romp about best friends that dated on high-school that have a second chance to see if it's more then friendship. Some twists and turns. Meet more the the team on the second book Wagging their tails!
This is a well written fast paced football novella. I am not a football girl but I 🥰 loved this book. There is spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️. I highly recommend this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have personally not read many sports romances, but I must say this was an amazing short read. Add in the feeling of second chance lovers, and I was absolutely hooked. After reading this book I definitely wanna read spirt romances now. I truly enjoyed that it was based around football.
I loved this cute but spicy little story! Ty and Jennie were the perfect best friends to lover short story I’ve read in a while. While only 69 pages it definitely had so much happen and really kept me hooked the whole time!
Usually not a big fan of Best Friends to Lovers ( always an Enemies to Lover Girlie). But Theresa really had me especially since she didn’t let me wait for the smut (hehehe).
I loved that the FMC and MMC were both bad ass and didn’t take anyone BS but they were both soft and loving with each other.
It was a case he fell first and she fell basically the same time but they didn’t want to reveal their feelings incase it was one sided.
You know we had to throw in a little drama to spice it up as well ( I won’t say you have to read the book)
But I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for another book, hope Mr. Relationship Fixer Brody has his own book coming soon.
This is a super quick read and i mean super quick. it is faced paced and will make you fall in love with the characters by the end of the first chapter.
She is a tattoo artist and he is a kicker in the NFL. They are best friends and when he finds himself in trouble what does he do asks her to be his fake girlfriend to save his ass. With their history they fall quick and hard.
This was a really enjoyable and fun read with romance and spice thrown in. It was descriptive, intriguing and the story wasn't rushed like some novellas can be. It was a breath of fresh air considering the dark fantasy novels I normally read. The ending was good but I did wish there was more - I wanted Ty and Jennie's story to continue! Will definitely read more from this author in the future!
