I received this book in high school as a Christmas gift from my parents, when Reggie was still alive and then playing for the Green Bay Packers Every so often, I will go back and read it, so I just finished reading it for the 4th or 5th time. I miss Reggie. He was a quality athlete, both on and off the field. He gathered his buddies, both teams, and did not hesitate to offer a prayer of thanksgiving. Devote Christian man
One of the last lines of the book, cannot be overstated. Reggie is having a conversation with his pastor in NJ, and asks him why growing Christians are so harshly criticized. His pastor answered it is because the persons doing the criticizing really do want to see those Christians be all they are supposed to be.
So the book ends with Reggie telling us all to "live out our convictions. When you fail, and you are certainly going to, confess, repent, and move on! May God richly bless you as you obey Him!"
