USA Today best-selling author Megyn Ward lives on coffee, chocolate and more than the occasional glass of red wine. When she's not spending time with the hot, dirty-talking Alphas and the strong, capable women who love them who live in her head, she's busy chasing chickens (and kids), hanging laundry and burning dinner. Either way, she is almost always in the company of her eight dogs, her truest and most faithful companions, and her almost as faithful husband, Joe.
Megyn is also the author of the award-winning Sabrina Vaughn thriller series, written under the name Maegan Beaumont.

Megyn Ward does it again! Went & Kait’s origin is a slow burn. You know they want to but will they? & the cliffhanger?! 😳 I can’t wait to see how this plays out in Kaitlyn’s book! 🔥

It's been a while since I read the previous books in this series but this doesn't really feel part of it as Went isn't a Gilroy brother & the previous characters aren't really mentioned apart from Conn. Kaitlyn is a lovely but downtrodden young woman who has been conditioned to think she doesn't deserve a better life than the one that is forced upon her. Went contacted his half brother Damien when he needed somewhere quiet to hide out & lay low. Damien works for Kait's father on their ranch & persuades him to rent the lodge out to Went. Kait had the extra job of tidying up after their tenant & keeping him stocked up with groceries added to her already long list of daily chores. Also she has been sneaking off to the lodge to secretly go to college online so she is less than pleased with the city visitor.
I really enjoyed this story despite the bad grammar & obvious lack of decent editing. However the thing that truly stopped me giving it 5 stars was the ending. Sorry but it was rushed. I thought maybe there might be a follow-up book to "finish" the story & tie things up a bit better but sadly there is no mention of this in the usual author notes at the end of the book. I really hope I'm wrong & there is a second part.

Every time I think I know what’s going on, it changes. It’s not something that you normally see in a romance novel, nor is it something you expect when you’re looking for smut. But it is something that Megyn has not only perfected, but it is something she has weaponized in the best possible way. Both Went and Kait are fighting their own inner battles, and external ones, and neither one of them are expecting the other.

This book makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it is steamy as hell, and it flows so naturally you think you’re watching a movie. The characters are quick witted and dynamic, something that I am happy to say that I’ve been taught to expect in a M Ward book, and while there might be a tragic backstory or two (#NoSpoilers), they are extremely well thought out, and unlike some books out there, almost thoroughly explained.

This book is absolutely perfect to start your journey with Megyn’s ‘Gilroy’ clan, as it introduces a few characters, but you are not required to have read those before you can read this one. So curl up in your favorite chair, grab a glass of wine, and dive in to the world of Wanting Wentworth.

* and for those we’ve already read the Gilroy’s: YES, everyone’s favorite smart ass definitely makes an appearance.

Does not disappoint

WANTING WENTWORTH is the ninth book in The Gilroy Clan series. This story is something that I was not quite expecting, and that is definitely in the best way. If you have read other books by Megyn Ward then you may already be aware of Wentworth "Went" Fiorella. This is his story and it is a deliciously dirty naughty tale but also has a lot of heartstring pulling moments and in the end love and caring. Went ends up in a bit of an incident which his ex gets him into. It is suggested that he disappear for a bit to let things cool down and blow over. That is how he finds himself in a cabin in the Montana mountains. There he meets Kaitlyn and she makes him feel things he did not know he could. She is going to school to become a nurse but her home environment is anything but supportive. It seems women are not worth anything in this misogynistic family and community, other than being wives, bearing babes, taking care of the house and their husband, and never saying a word about it. Yep not quite the future she wants. But when Went sees Kaitlyn there is something that sparks and he is determined to be the support she needs, while also helping her knock a few items off her kinky bucket list....oh what fun! But what will happen when he leaves? Will he take her with him, will he stay for her, will his heart and future be changed by her forever?

I have not read a book from Megyn Ward in quite a while. Let me tell you she is a writer that you can easily start reading at any time. Megyn has a very unique way of telling a story and this book to me shows that off. I was given the opportunity to read an Arc of this book and I am so glad that I did.
This one is all about Wentworth and Kait. Wentworth gets into a little trouble in L.A. He decides to hide out by visiting his brother where noone will ever expect him to be.
Kait is living day to day. She is trying to deal with a great loss and make something out of her life that isnt the ranch. But that all becomes a challenge when the one place she could go and hide is now the one place that Wentworth is hiding. Will these two be able to get along so she can get away from the ranch? Will Wentworth learn that there is more to live than L.A? I absolutely loved this storyline. These two have amazing chemistry and you can easily feel it with Megyn's writing skill. But be fair warned this one does end on a cliffhanger. One I was truly not expecting. I cant wait to read the next one and see what happens between these two.

In true Megyn Ward fashion, Wanting Wentworth was a glorious, angsty, emotional mess of beautiful, well rounded characters and a fabulous storyline coupled with stellar word building. Read it. I think that's really all you need to know, LOL.
No, seriously. ..
You don’t have to marry him, Sunshine… not if you marry me first.
Went made it sound so simple… or maybe I just wanted it to be simple because by the time he said it, I was already half in love with him.
I knew what saying yes to him would mean. That my father would disown me. That I’d have to leave the only home I’d ever known. That I could never go home again.
I knew that wanting Wentworth was going to change my life forever. What I didn't know is that falling in love with him would be the death of me.
How could you NOT want to read this?
It's a slow burn. The story is stellar. The cliffy is perfect.
Wanting Wentworth gets ALLLLLL the stars!

1st half of a story, part of a longer interconnected series

This book is 1st half of a story about one couple, Wentworth & Kaitlyn, and part of a longer interconnected series. The main characters were both introduced previously, but this book is a surprise as it is actually a jump backwards in time & we learn that those 2 characters were previously connected, which there was no indication of before. Nuanced characters, interesting commentary on how rural women can still be trapped (somewhat depictions of abuse- physical & mental on page, allusions to sexual). The romance has an enemies-to-lovers/ sexual tutor element, and is 🔥 🔥 🔥, but also has a depth as he tries to help her see her own worth and strength. It does end on a partial resolution cliffhanger, but I am looking forward to how this jumps to the current timeliness in the next book.

I've been waiting for this release and was not disappointed.

As exspected from Megyn Ward i was intrapped from the very first page, . Kaitlyn, is a sweet and shelted Ranch girl who meets the Sexy Swoon Wentworth from L.A when visting his Brother . He has a sexy arse foul mouth from the very start
From there, an unlikely and deliciously HOT secret pantie swooning romance starts between our sunshine heroine and major sexy hero.

I can't wait to see where this goes in book two Keeping Kaitlin

I've always had a love for the Gilroy boys and Wentworth is no different
If you love the Gilroy Clan you will sure love Kaitlyn and Wents Story

Spoiler alert say Hello to Con !!!!!!

very detailed. part 1of 2 books

TW: Cheating, DV, death of a loved one, alienation

I’m torn on this book because I was anxiously waiting for the “You don’t have to marry him if you marry me first” line. And it was DRAGGING. Not to say it was a bad book, but that drew me in and for it not to be til the end hurt me more than I thought. It’s a very detailed, the angst, the back and forth, was sweet tortur3. Kait’s backstory tugged my heart, a cinderella story if you will. I was upset over Wentworth’s lack of planning. He knew what he wanted but didn’t have any type of plan. While I understand it, how you gonna ask someone to stay but provide no additional details? Not to mention the truth about yourself? It does end on a cliffhanger so be aware.

Well wow! If you’ve read the rest of the Gilroy Clan then you’ve already met Grown Up Went and Kaitlyn. Megyn has written this perfectly and really captured how strong family ties really can have a hold on you! Went is everything you expected he would be and have seen in the Kings of Brighton and Gilroy Clan series’. Seeing into Kaitlyns backstory is heart wrenching!
Seeing their friendship/relationship pan out is a rollercoaster of emotions! And the Cliffhanger!!!! I cannot wait for the next instalment into this amazing series! And if you haven’t read Megyns other books… what are you waiting for?!?!????

Kaitlyn and Wentworth meet when he rents her father's cabin. He is hiding out because of a scandal created by his ex-girlfriend. Kaitlyn and her father have a dysfunctional relationship, and he is forcing her to marry a man she can't stand. She and Wentworth have the opportunity of getting to know each other and as their relationship blossoms Wentworth gives her another alternative instead of having to marry Brock. Will she take Brock up on his proposal and will it lead them to happiness.

Megyn does it again with this next book in The Gilroy Clan series. I wondered how she would make this one stand out as far as Went's character goes, and she blew me away. I love that she manages to make all her characters so special and unique in how they think, talk, love, and want to be loved. Much like the others, Wanting Wentworth will have you laughing, crying, burning & yearning.

Went is a calm, strong, and confident man. As an artist, I love how she brought his artistic talent alive in this book (much like she did with Cari's character in other books) and used it as part of the slow-burn moments. I don't want to spoil anything, but it was a surprise that left my mouth gaping and leaving me feeling much like Kait did.

I also loved Kait. She is a good woman with so much on her shoulders. I love how her mind works (especially regarding tattoos) and her exploration and curiosity. I found myself wanting to know more about her family, her future, her past, all of it. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Oh my goodness…where to begin..this book is amazing! I have read all of the other books and have been waiting to read this and it did not disappoint. Wanting Wentworth is a must read. Megyn Ward has done it again! I could not put it down and as I kept reading I kept wanting to see where the story went. It took me about 2 days to finish it because I could not put it down. I highly recommend this book! The author is such an awesome writer!

Wow where to begin, absolutely loved this book and how Megyn develops her characters, it always makes you instantly get into the books and not want to put them down and this book creates an amazing plot with plenty of twists. If you've read the rest of the series then you'll know the little easter eggs left and want ypu going back for a reread for some of them including cross over series. It's a fantastic read, can't wait for the next installment!

Gilroy Girls have been waiting for Went's book a LONG time! I've also always had a soft spot for Kaitlyn and couldn't wait to get more of her story -- we knew something had happened with her, I just never expected it to be what we learned in this book. The way they started was so heartfelt and emotional. We ended the book on slight drama, but a high note...since 6 years has passed between their meeting and the last Gilroy book, I know Kaitlyn's portion of the duet is going to gut me before putting me back together. I hope we don't have to wait too long!

I loved this entire series but what happened to the ending?

I'm confused. Is there more to the story? Cause it did not match Debts story in the rest of the series. I had loved this series and couldn't wait for this one to come out but the ending doesn't jive. Sorry. Other wise I would have rated as five stars 100%.

feels incomplete

I have loved reading all of the Gilroy Clan books and finally started Wanting Wentworth. As I kept seeing how far I was in the book and waiting to see how the story went I was disappointed in the end as I feel as if it’s incomplete like there should be a second part to it. Other than that it was overall really good!

Megyn never disappoints! Wanting Wentworth is no exception.

The characters, the dialogue, and the way she weaves them together for Wentworth’s story is mind blowing and HOT. I couldn’t put it down!

Suspense

This book is not as complex as the others (read in order). By that I mean there isn't loads of ppl fighting. Went left to hide he met kaity and the slowly hit it off. I can't wait to read why they hardly spoke (in real time in previous books) .

The wait is over...we are getting Went and Kait’s story! After reading the Gilroy duets and the Kings of Brighton, I had to have their story, and Megyn Ward does it again with an emotional, spicy and wonderful book that I could not put down. Went, the sexy tattooed artist, and Kait, the rancher who has endured so much pain, are beautiful together. The chemistry between these two is electric and the spice...well, let's just say it's hot!

I was happy to see past characters appear (no spoilers here). Also, the supporting characters are so good that now I want their stories too.

Wanting Wentworth is a duet. Now I have to wait for the second book, but I am so looking forward to Keeping Kaitlyn.

This is one of my favorite reads of the year! It started off with a punch to the gut and made me cry. But Wentworth and Kaitlyn’s relationship was so special. Meeting Wentworth was exactly what she needed. Kaitlyn had been through so much and continued to go through it throughout the book. And when the spice hit, it hit hard! 🥵 This book ended on a cliffhanger and I need the next book NOW!❤️❤️❤️
