OMG, I have issues… this book ended far too quickly (or maybe I just gobbled it up too fast) and I am totally in love with these monsters and the humans that love them! Little Lick of Lust is the third book in the Creature Café series and this time it's Rum that needs the Barista to find him the perfect match… and oh my, what a match it will be!
Rum is adorable, kind, and incredibly sexy... Rum craves love and has specific sexual needs, but he is afraid to share them, especially with a human who just recently learned the existence of monsters. Penny, who is beautiful, powerful, and strong, has never encountered a man or woman who could satisfy her for an extended period of time... But maybe she doesn't need a man or a woman; maybe she needs a monster.
This book is hot AF, I feel like I should have dropped my kindle in an ice bath after reading this novella. But it isn’t just erotic, it is sweet and when I wasn’t hot and bothered, I had a stupid grin on my face because I instantly loved these characters!
Little Lick of Lust was just what I was looking for! A humorous, sexy, one-of-a-kind story about two individuals finding their perfect match and acceptance. The Barista's plot progresses too...and I'm bursting at the seams with questions and theories! And don't even get me started on the ending; I may have shed a tear or two... swoony goodness. This series has set the standard for monster romances for me, and I can't wait to see what Clio Evans comes up with next! In my opinion, this is a must-read book and series!

I haven’t read MF in ages because I either can’t stand the heroine or I just get bored but this book was awesome. I fucking LOVED the heroine, Penny. Penny is a 6 foot tall kinky woman who gets paired with Minotaur, Rum, and rocks his world. Holy shit this was hot 🥵 Because Rum is bullheaded, literally, he thinks he’s going to dominate Penny but girlfriend isn’t going to be told what to do by anyone; man, woman or monster. She brought a duffel bag of kink to Rum’s house for the night and I need a cold shower.
The actual storyline picked up in this one and it made me really glad I gave this a chance because not only did I like it, it filled in some of the gaps I had going into the final book. Also, Ghost made a reappearance and I absolutely adored him in the first book. All the characters from the past 2 books were there as well and I forgot how much I loved Dante, the incubus. I actually did myself a disservice reading these books out of order and I did that because originally I only wanted to read the MM and MMM ones but now I’m more open to all of them and I see how this series could have rocked my world had I let it. Oh well. 🤷🏻♀️

Probably my favorite in the series! Though I don’t understand the cover model. Is that Rum, in his human form?

As Penny says several times, she’s large (6 feet tall) and bisexual. Maybe I’ve just been around a lot of tall people but is a 6’ tall woman really extraordinarily tall? I feel like we’re playing with size and magic here… she could’ve been a lofty 6’3” like Gwendoline Christie.

This is the third book in the Creature Cafe series and Rum finally gets his turn to claim a mate. The Barista (which I am seriously interested in his story) decides to help Rum and he is paired with Penny. Rum is sweet yet sexy and just wants someone to share his life with and to love him because he has so much love and devotion to offer. Penny was strong and perfect for Rum but she was not my favorite heroine. She was WAY too dominant for my tastes. But their love was swoony and unique to them.
For such a short story, this really packed a punch and had a great story line with steam and suspense. If you like monster romances that are outside of the box, then I definitely recommend this series.

We love a Domme/sub moment!
10000% a quick and dirty little monster fucking novella, with a splash of conflict ~for the story~ as usual.
I couldn't connect with the characters just because my time spent with them was so brief, but it was nice seeing the two connect in many ways (sex. I'm talking about sex). We're talking monster/human, mistress/pet, wax play, PEGGING, and so on and so forth.
Penny's reaction to Rum's insecurity totally lost me though. The two barely know each other so that tough love was a shock.

نه تنها این مجموعه رو شروع کردم دارم ادامه هم میدمش و خودمم باورم نمیشه😂 همش تقصیر کریستن پادکست Books N' Betches ئه که از هیچ کتابی خوشش نمیاد ولی شدیدا پیگیر این مجموعه بود.
هر کتاب این مجموعهی اروتیکا دربارهی یه کاپل/گروه ئه با جنسیتهای مختلف و کینکهای مختلف...بعد یه داستان کلی هست که همشونو به هم وصل میکنه.
این کتاب حول محور پنی و رام بود که یه کاپل هتروسکشوالن. من نه خیلی از پنی خوشم اومد و نه خیلی از رام، مخصوصا رام ولی مشکل اصلیم بخش کینکش بود. من خیلی حساس نیستم و هرچیزیو میخونم ولی حقیقتا کینک pet, master/mistress برام جذاب نیست و حجم زیاد تاکیدشون روی خطاب قرار دادن هم با همین القاب کمکی به قضیه نکرد.

The Creature Cafe series is just fantastic and Little Lick of Lust fits right in!
Rum and Penny were extraordinary together. Absolute fire. Rum is our creature, a Minotaur. And oh, what a Minotaur he is. He has hooves, fur, and horns. He’s a big old beast. Penny is our human, one who had no previous knowledge of the creature world. She takes to Rum like a duck to water. She has no compunction putting him in his place. It was delightful.
The fact that they are both switches was a fantastic twist in this edition. Rum certainly likes to be in charge, until Penny is ready to take over. Then he submits so beautifully to her ministrations. And what a Domme Penny turned out to be. Alluring, knowledgeable and confident. It was wonderful to read. I swear, these two try a little bit of everything, so heed your trigger warnings before going in.
There is the underlying story arc of the Barista and his past. We keep getting snippets in each book and I am more and more intrigued. I cannot wait to see what Evans has in store for us. Sign me up, because I am ALL IN.

I was surprised that this has been my favorite one so far since I don’t usually like the Domme character in books but Penny was awesome. And Rum is easy to love. I was excited to get some information on the running plot with the Barista. It’s what is really keeping my attention.

Minotaur monster fuckery with femdom? Yes, please!
...is what I thought...
🐄 There's too much being crammed into too little page time. Scenes time warp between each other. So many of the scenes and conversations are rushed through, diminishing the enjoyment and impact a lot. It also resulted in some very stilted conversations because there wasn't time to show instead of telling.
🐄 I really liked the design of the MMC, and I did like that we had a really tall FMC. So many FMC in romance are petite and curvy, so it was nice seeing something different.
🐄 They're both switches, so we get a nice balance of femdom and maledom scenes. I'm not into maledom but I did actually find the scenes kinda nice.
🐄 Penny had an overreaction of major proportions and I didn't like that Rum was the one made to grovel.
🐄 I couldn't feel the romance because of the rushed nature of the story, and because of the point I complained about above.
🐄 I read this as a standalone, but I was clearly missing some context for the overarching plot (that nonetheless also felt very rushed and tacked on).
Final thoughts
This had a lot of potential, but I simply wasn't enjoying myself. Giving it 2 stars.

2. This was probably my least favorite couple so far. I’ve loved the other two books and their romances, but I couldn’t really get behind Penny’s degradation kink when she’s insulting the world’s most precious cinnamon roll Minotaur in the process. The saving grace is I know he enjoyed it, so I’ll let it go.

It was a fun change of pace to have a domme and switch human with a switch Minotaur. Especially since usually humans are the subs in monster romance.
I thought things were a little murky around 3/4 through the book, but maybe there will be clarification in the next one.

This was a fun one. Rum was sweet and sunshine, then there was Penny, no nonsense and knew what she wanted. The kidnapping was entertaining with the motion sickness. A lot of kink, which is forewarned in the beginning.

3 books in, and I can confidently say that if you are into monster smut and literally any and every kink, then this series is 100% for you. Clio Evans has covered ALL the bases.
Each book is about 100 pages, making them perfect for reading slumps or quick reads between full length books. I don't see any reason they couldn't be read as standalones if you just want the monster porn, but I'd highly recommend working your way through them in order as each book contains characters from the previous ones in the series.

This cheeky book is an MF minotaur romance, featuring BDSM, degradation and a bunch of other awesomeness. This is the first book (I think) that I've read with a dominant female character - not my fave but a fun read all the same.

A Minotaur/ human romance with wax play, pegging, Dominatrix/sub play, degradation/praise kink, breeding kink, and a “if you can catch me, you can fuck me” scene? Hell to the yes! I’m falling more and more in love with monster romances and Clio Evans has definitely become a new and fast favorite. I love the variety of kinks and monsters found in each novella and the smut is top tier fantastic. I adored Rum and Penny so much!

Like the other 2 it’s spicy hot and let me tell you, I’d be on my knees in 2.5 seconds for Penny. 🔥🥵 I loved these 2 together. Clio knows how to write her spice and this book was no different. The paint scene..yum.

This isn’t my favorite in the series, but I’m also not a huge fan of books with Dommes/Femdom’s in MF romance. However, it was interesting having the twist of the monster being the submissive in this book.
The overarching story in this series has just sucked me in. We are just starting to see who’s after the Barista, and I need to know more!!
P.S. In previous books, a minotaur painting is mentioned hanging in the cafe. Rum is the one who painted it!!
