I didn’t love this one. There’s exhibitionism, one hero (the monster) fcking another person in front of the other hero… “sharing”… a lot of pain play. Just not my cup of tea.

I felt like the CNC was very heavy on the "N" to point of making me uncomfy 😬 in the first 3, the dominant characters seemed much more in tune with their partners wants and checked in more frequently and got more specific consent. Meduso kinda just did what he wanted and then said "well you gave me consent earlier and I figured that still applied." Also, when someone does not give you consent so you go f*** someone else in front of them because "you have needs" just so you can make them feel jealous and guilty for saying no? Not sexy. That's manipulation and honestly felt abusive.

داستان کلی مجموعه اینقدر برام جذابه که وقتی نمیخونمش بازم دارم فکر میکنم باریستا واقعا کیه ک گذشتهش با لوسیفر چی بوده و قراره چی بشه.
که خیلی از ژانری که هست بعیده و معمولا اروتیکا اونم monster romance همچین قابلیتی نداره. کلیو واقعا هنرمنده که توی ۱۰۰ صفحه داستانای اینقدر قوی، شخصیتهای اینقدر دوست داشتنی و روابط قابل باوری میسازه!
این جلد، جلد مورد علاقم بود. مدوسو یکم زیادی بود چون زیادی دام، زیادی عصبانی، زیادی خشن بود ولی خیلی دوستش داشتم.
احتمالا خیلیا خیلی مدوسو رو دوست نداشتن ولی خیلی تایپ من بود. توی دنیای واقعی قطعا یه رد فلک بزرگه ولی به عنوان یه دیمن خیلی هات بود.😂

It really takes something on another level of awful to be a DNF for me.
I couldn’t even do it in audio and this bitch is 2 hours long.
These characters’s flat personalities are the equivalent of trying to pick up change on a table with just your finger tips.
Literally just annoying and a waste of time until you’re just frustrated with that wasted time. There’s a million other things to be doing. So I’m glad I saved myself some sanity by ending this one early. I did manage to get to the 60% mark before quitting.
Also the monster in this book is really boring, and the MC is a walking contradiction from all directions.

How does she keep doing it?? I am thrilled with this series. There hasn’t been a book that I haven’t liked. Meduso was *drool* so sexy. Noah was the perfect little masochist for him. Their proclivities lined up perfectly. But hey, that’s fate for you.
The Barista continues to intrigue me and finding out he was in a full on relationship with Lucifer (Lucy *snort*) makes him all the more interesting. I cannot wait to read his story. The plot just gets more and more sordid.
Meduso is the darkest creature we’ve met yet. He is a no holds barred kind of creature and, frankly, a little scary. Were I Noah, I’d have run in the other direction. Brave Noah went all in and the rewards were electrifying.
Definitely heed all the trigger warnings, as they are no joke with this particular story. There is also a discussion regarding a safe word, but then Medusa pretty much locks Noah in a box and has him transported to another location separate from Meduso, so how could Noah have safeworded? That did bother me a little bit. Otherwise, this is a delicious little treat of a story and worth every second of your time to read.

Sure, but the Barista has something else in mind. “No, I’ll find you someone that will rip that hate right out of you”. This is going to be one heck of a ride, I am glad I have complete faith in the Barista's matchmaking skills.
I'll be honest, it took me a while to warm up to Meduso; he was a lot darker, more manipulating, and demanding than I expected. Meduso has complete control, he takes what he wants, when he wants it, how he wants it…Noah, sweet masochistic Noah, wants someone to love him and fulfill his dark desires. Noah willingly accepts Meduso’s terms for their relationship and Meduso is very upfront about his needs and desires.
This book is off the charts hot & steamy, like Carolina Reaper Pepper hot and there is all kinds of dirty deliciousness in these pages! But, Little Shock of Hate isn’t all steam, there is a love story, suspense, secrets and of course the Barista’s plot thickens. Although all the kinks in this book may not all be my cuppa, it was fantastically dark and creative, and by the end of the book, I knew that Noah and Meduso were perfect for each other.
Ms. Evans is a wonderful writer with one heck of an imagination. I have enjoyed each book in this series and I will keep reading about all the monsters and their matches! A definite recommendation from me!

I loved this one! Little Shock of Hate is darker than the previous three books and I enjoyed this couple’s so much. Meduso is a shockingly hot tentacle daddy you want to be pampered and ruined by simultaneously. Noah just wants someone to love him and fulfill his dark desires. The two are so hot together.
Just to note there is a lot of sharing in this novella (with consent) but there is a scene where one of the MMCs is with someone without their partner’s consent.

This is probably my least favorite so far, which is surprising considering the content.
It's just a very....abrupt installment. Feelings of love out of nowhere, rushed sexual encounters, and a handful of conflicts back to back.
We get some more backstory with the Barista which is nice! Everything else? Not a huge fan.

Least favourite of all the ones so far. I just couldn't like Meduso, even though he like somewhat 'redeemed' himself I just couldn't like him. Apparently I'll put up with a lot but, f**k the maid in front of your mate and said mate is upset about it? That's the line! Pity, all those tentacles! :D

I did not like this one as much as the first novella. The more violence and cnc you have in a book, the more background I need from the characters beforehand. Does the aggressive MC have the other MC's best interests at heart? We didn't learn a single thing about either MC before violence and roughness was introduced.
'Are you willing to give me blanket consent on the first date?'
Such a thing is not possible, and consent can be revoked at any time. If there had been some minor conversation, a few expectations set, I would have been on board for anything. But alas, we got nothing.
Also, not a fan of cheating. Huge turn off, especially without any prior understanding of character motives.
It just didn't hit like the first novella, largely due to absence of consent. Which could have been resolved with a few pages.. thus the 3 star rating.

This series just keeps getting better and better.
The Barista has brought together Meduso a Demon with electrical tentacles and Noah a human. Together they are soooooo hot 🥵
Meduso is seriously a controlling evil Demon but with Noah by his side his behaviour changes to something incredible (I mean I loved him as a controlling asshole)
The relationship between the 2 has to go through some serious tough obstacles with lots of factors thrown in. It just proves their beautiful love together 🖤
This book is like the others and is seriously next level spicy especially with the tentacles involved 🌶🌶
I just love how all the books are about different relationships but they are linked together in a really engaging story line.
Now for the next book 😍

In the darkest installment of the series yet, the romance is fascinating and passionate toxicity to the max.
Weirdly campy and hilarious in contrast to how depraved the duo is, this installment of the series showcases a bit more conflict than there is peace between Noah and Meduso. We also get further development with the underlying subplot going on with the Barista, Lucifer, and a battle (?) amongst angels.
Wild stuff. Truly.

I've had this series on my TBR for a while and decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad that I did. Each novella in the series has a sweet steamy romance between a human and monster. The characters are intertwined and connected which I really enjoyed. I've really felt like I can connect with each couple so far. I've been devouring this series and I feel like the author did an amazing job creating unique captivating stories with engaging characters. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys steamy monster romance.

I love how sexually adventurous these books are. There’s something new in each one, and I’m really never bored. Noah’s CNC and voyeurism kinks were new to the series, and I loved how Meduso took those to give him pleasure. Also, the tentacles. I’m never mad about tentacles.
The plot’s starting to amp up more now too. The Barista’s going to have a lot of shit to deal with soon, but I’m not overly concerned. He just gives off competence vibes in waves, and I’m 100% here for it.

I absolutely loved this one! A monster that is legit a monster! I was definitely getting contemporary mafia leader vibes from Meduso. And damn was the spice super hot!!

Ahhh dangit, I had hoped to enjoy this one a bit more than I did. From the premise and the setup, I think I was expecting more consent-acles and scenes between Meduso and Noah than what we actually got.
Heads up for the warnings in this one, since there is sharing, and things move at an even quicker pace than they have for previous stories.
This one does expand on the Barista and his past and him as a character - I can't wait to get his story (which I think is the last one?)
