Never again.

Radio silence.

Radio silence is all Daisy got when Taron’s memory returned. The feeling of rejection was crushing as Daisy’s emotions spiralled into self-loathing and doubt. Watching her sister from the sidelines, Cora knew something needed to be done.
When Cora pushes Daisy to go to Manchester and visit their friends, she hopes that time away from London will help heal Daisy’s heart.

But what will happen when she meets Toby, the gorgeous ex-TV star she fangirled over when she was younger?
Will sparks fly? Will she be able to forget Taron, or will he come back for her?

The final instalment of The Purple Hearted Series and part 2 of Daisy’s story. This story is told from a first-person, dual point of view with all the spice and cheeky language you expect from Frances Fleur.

Hi, I am Frances. I have been in Education for the last 12 years either as a primary school teacher, teaching assistant or tutor. I am a mother of two based in Nottinghamshire with my husband and crazy dog!

I love writing books. I have wanted to do it from such a young age, but unfortunately, I had 'that' teacher who said I wasn't great at writing. But fast forward twenty years, and I realised actually, it doesn't matter what that person thought anymore because I love writing. It was getting to that point where I would be reading 1 or 2 books a week and becoming so frustrated with the ending or, wanting something different to happen that I was desperate to write my own and these books exploded out of me!

So I hope you love them as much as I do!

This is book 6, and the last installment of the Purple Hearted Series, although this one actually follows on from book 4, and Follows Daisy's and Taron's love story.
I can't say much about the book as I don't want to give anything away that happened in book 4 if you havnt read it yet,
I enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed Unforgettable, and loved getting to know some other characters in the books.
So much happened in this book, and although it's only classed as a Novella, not once did I feel that it was and no detail was scrimped on at all.
I'm actually gutted that this is the last book In the series, so won't get to read what happens next!
The very last chapter was a cracker - very short, very blunt but very powerful!
If you happen to be one of those readers that reads the last page of a book before deciding to read it - don't do it with this one else the whole plot line with pretty much better ruined.
Great read - so glad I came across these books.
Would highly recommend.

This is book six of The Purple Hearted series, I’ve read all of the books in this series and loved each one. I have such an attachment to all of the characters and I’m going to miss them so much!

In the earlier books I wasn’t too keen on Daisy but she soon turned into one of my favourite characters. This book follows on from Unforgettable which is book four in the series.

It is difficult to really say a lot about this book without giving spoilers for Unforgettable. I was hoping Daisy was going to end up with someone much better and who loved her like she deserved to be!

You can certainly read books four and six as standalones from the rest of the series but I highly recommend reading the whole series as it is so good.

I’ll definitely be looking out for what the author decides to do next I love the writing style and each of these books has been fantastic.

Thank you to the publisher for sending me a copy and for Hygge Book Tours for having me on the tour.

My Thoughts: after the ending of Unforgettable I couldn’t wait to jump into the 2nd part of Daisy’s story.

I couldn’t help but feel that she deserved so much better than what she got from Taron, I wanted someone to realise how amazing she was and just sweep her off her feet.. in walks Toby.. her celebrity crush, which throws her off because she’s just turned up at her best friends house..

This one was everything I wanted and more, although I’ll be honest there’s not a lot I can say without giving huge spoilers for Unforgettable.

I loved the development in Daisy’s character, she knew she wanted Toby and she went after it and oh my was it fun to experience, I got so wrapped up in their life and relationship together that I almost forgot I was reading 😂

I was squealing with happiness by the end of it, but a little bit gutted that this is the end of the series and I’ve only just discovered it, but on the bright side that means I have a back list to catch up on and future books to look forward to!

This story picks up a few weeks after the devastating end of the previous book unforgettable. Daisy is bereft after Taron suddenly ran away from her after regaining his memory. He has resumed his old life, seemingly to have completely forgotten Daisy. Daisy can’t forget him, so when she found out his wife is having twins and the press start to hound her out yet again, she uproots her whole life. She goes to visit her friends for awhile, discovering they have another house guest; the sexy, irresistible Toby. Daisy finally starts to heal with Toby’s help. Daisy and Toby have a completely genuine, growing attraction. The story is told from a dual perspective-Daisy and Toby, which gives us a unique insight into the two main characters. I really enjoyed this facet of the book. You could really get to know the characters and become drawn into their story even more. This was a sweet love story that has the usual aspect of will they/won’t they and ties up some loose ends from the previous book. A really enjoyable, easy read.

Following on from my last review - for book 4 in The Purple Hearted Series - Unforgettable - I skipped straight over to this, book 6 in the series - the last book and also the conclusion to Daisy's story.

I'm a little upset to have skipped over book 5 - but having only started with book 4 - this seemed a logical order to read - and it meant that I didn't have to wait too long to get past that huge cliffhanger of an ending we were left with in the last book!

Now, obviously, I'm not willing to say anything about the plot of this one as there would be far too many spoilers for the previous books - but oh my, we're taken on a bit of a rollercoaster throughout the book.

Having connected with the main characters in Unforgettable, I was really rooting for them throughout this one.
We're treated to a few new characters (for me), who once again were well presented and developed.

I loved the way that this concluded, bringing all the elements together into a satisfactory finale for the series.

I've really enjoyed both books and will certainly be adding the others in the series to my wishlist for catching up with soon.

As this is the end of this series though, I wonder what might be next from this author?
Having loved the authentic voices in this series, I'll be keeping a look out for future books and will be excited to read more.

This follows on quickly from the cliffhanger ending of Unforgettable. Thank goodness.

I loved the direction this book took, and definitely connected more with the romance and storyline in this one than the first book that follows Daisy's story (though I enjoyed both).

You definitely feel for Daisy in this one, and it's easy to see how things pan out the way they do here.

I loved the romance element in this one, there were real sweet guy vibes and I was so keen for the love interest in this to pan out.

Overall this was a really sweet, enjoyable read with a FMC you are routing for to get the guy.

And the guy to get his girl.

And them both to get a HEA.

Will she?? Read and see!

This book is the final book of the series and the ending of Diasy's story. I honestly do not understand the reasons why she hid the pregnancy!!!!! It does not make sense.. also, why did Taron show up? It does not help in the plotline.. Poor Toby is the best man that ever lived and obviously is a non realistic character!!!I did not like it.

Starting off exactly where book 1 of paramedic Daisy’s story (our FMC) left off, this book is about her coming to terms with the consequences of taking a chance on love with footballer Taron (book 1 MMC). We were left on an absolutely devastating cliffhanger and the reader, like our FMC, had to wait to find out exactly why Taron walked out of that shop with no warning. This time round, Daisy is a bit more wary when tv heartthrob Toby (book 2 MMC) comes into her life.

If the theme of book 1 was learning to love after a traumatic event, the theme of the second book in this dual POV contemporary romance story is miscommunication. The absolute stubborn stupidity that made Daisy so believable and appealing in book 1 comes back to bite us all in the butt here. Which, as someone with a pig-headed streak myself, only makes it more relatable. But you will find yourself yelling “WHY?!?!?” at least a couple of times. Anyone who has also successfully self-sabotaged believing things are too good to be true, will also relate to the choices made here. Daisy really is your modern day, independent women looking for love and buggering it up a lot of the time :D.

What is really clever about the way these two books are written (particularly as they are quite short) it that, although they are part of a wider collection of solo stories and duologies that follow each of the main characters, they are still a highly enjoyable standalone set. This is particularly smart as it simultaneously completes the story for one character and opens a whole new story for another.

If I had any criticism it is that, despite this book being the last in series and closing Daisy’s story, it ends on a MASSIVE cliffhanger (AGAIN!) for a different character entirely!! Frances, please tell me we are getting a novella for Melissa!! You cannot end it there!!!

I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a steamy romance with plenty of twists and turns. This relatively short tale, definitely leaves you wanting more and I cannot wait to go back and read the rest of the series. This book is the perfect close to a brilliant heart-warming book series, and a great read whether you are on a beach holiday or settling in with a glass of wine after work.

For transparency, I was delighted to receive this as a physical ARC copy ahead of its release, and I look forward to supporting Frances’ future work.
