Allyssa and Link have known each other since grade school, and now that one is a lawyer and the other a K9 cop in their small hometown, their paths keep crossing more often than ever. When Allyssa gets a dodgy client to defend and her high school reunion coming up, Link promises to be her plus one if she can get the client to even show up in court. So, the bet is on, except they keep upping the stakes, which leads to unexpected results for the dynamic two.
It’s a fun book with an interesting plot and likeable characters. You could really feel the hero and heroine have the sort of camaraderie and caring only people who have known each other since they were kids can have. I loved their banter and antics. And I loved Rosie the dog, of course.
It is a very dialogue-heavy book though, not a lot of internal musings and thoughts there, which meant I didn’t perhaps feel their feelings grow as much as I would have liked. So I was almost surprised when they finally progressed from friends to more, just like they probably were. All in all, a good book and I’d be happy to read more from this author.

Link and Alyssa are the epitome of cute in this fast read from Bella Greene. Being friends since Alyssa was ten, Link and her have grown up together. She has always had a crush on him, but being her brother's best friend and two years old, he was off limits. She grew up to be a lawyer and has two rules when it comes to dating. No lawyers. No cops. And guess what Link's profession is? He is a K9 officer. Although he's thought of Alyssa as more than friends before, he would never challenge her rules. When Alyssa gets an invite to her 10 year high school reunion, her and Link make a friendly bet based on a client that Alyssa is working with. As they continue to hang out, the bet takes on more layers, until finally someone wins.
This book is a really quick, cute read. One you will not regret if you take a chance.

This is a fun, entertaining, good read. Link and Allyssa are intriguing, entertaining, relatable, fun characters. I enjoyed their journey from friends to lovers. Their interactions are fun to read, especially when Link’s K9 partner is on page. The bet was awesome and added to the fun of the story. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story. The story is easy to get into and hit the spot. Although not a holiday read, it fit in with the season.

I read this book in less than a day! This is book 2 in a series but can be read as a standalone. Alyssa is a lawyer and her brothers best friend (Link) who she grew up with is a cop with the local canine unit. Alyssa and Link make a bet about him attending her 10 year high school reunion with her. There are many other side bets and several cute outings for these friends that is leading up to more than friendship. Without giving too much a way there is a little turmoil at the end but Link and Alyssa do end up with their happily ever after by the end.

Allyssa (a lawyer) and Link (a cop at a local canine unit) have known each other for years due to Link being Allyssa’s brother’s best friend.

They come up with a bet for Link to join Allyssa at her 10 year reunion and this leads into other small side bets. The interaction between the two main characters is great and you really feel like they have known each other for years.

The book is wonderfully written and I will definitely be checking what else Bella has to read.

Some rules are meant to be broken and a bet is never a sure thing.
She has a rule that she doesn't date lawyers, cops, anyone she works with. He's a cop who is also her brother's longtime bestfriend. He made a bet that she couldn't win a specific case because there was no way the defendant would get off.
Fun, easy read. Same quality writing as always.

This is an excellent book. It was a really quick read. I started the book last night and only put it down because I had to sleep for work today. The story is super sweet. This is the first book I have read by this author. If all of the author's books are like this one, I believe I have found a new favorite author. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This has been the first book I have read by Bella, and it was a really fun book. Allyssa and Link make a fun bet that is she wins a case then he will be her fake date to her school reunion however things start to shift and over time they develop more than a friendship. This book will put a smile on your face, and I liked how the book ended.

The banter between Allyssa the lawyer and Link the officer continues throughout the book. They challenge each other as they place bets until winner takes all. Mark sits on the sidelines, being Allyssa's brother and Link's BFF---and hopes not to lose his closeness to both of them. Touching moments when Link looks for someone to talk to and turns to Rosie, his K-9 Partner on the Force. He only wishes she could give him guidance.

Can’t say enough about this book! But let’s start with the basics. This is a dual pov, clean romance.
Allyssa and Link are absolute goals! Plus who could say no to the best wing woman, Rosie! The friendship and banter between these two makes you speed through this read because you can’t get enough of it. I love Allyssa’s upbeat personality and I love the way she takes up a challenge and embraces anything that comes her way.

Good relaxing easy and fast paced romance. I loved the dog representation hoped for more incidents for the pet however it was great Rosie the dog was lovable and smart. Back to the characters Allysse and Link were great together loved their friendship, teasing, betting and harassing each other was really lovable and comic. I loved their devotion for their job. The Bet With My Brother’s Best Friend is a fabulous standalone with a hea.
School reunions tend to bring out the worst in people when the need to impress takes over. Allyssa and Link are great characters and this is a delightfully fun read as one bet leads to another .. and another .. and another.
I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

This is our first book from this author. No doubt, we will be reading more work from Bella Greene because we so enjoy her sense of humor. This storyline is very engaging and we laughed as we listened to this book through our phone, using Bluetooth in the van. RECOMMENDED.

This book was definitely enjoyable with a lot of fun banter and snappy dialogue between the two MCs. It was definitely more of a playful friends to lovers between the lawyer and the cop, and I appreciated the story’s setting and the side characters. I liked the high school reunion element and thought that their bet was well done.

Very uncomplicated. Very easy going.
Will I read more from this author, mm probably not. I just like more heat and more twists in my reading I guess.

Laughed Out Loud

I love a book that makes me laugh out loud, and this one had me laughing numerous times. Officer Link is hysterical and so cute. His friendship with Allyssa is so fun. His working relationship with his K9 Rosie is sweet. The officers versus the lawyers have so many funny activities. It's just a totally enjoyable romance.
