In this dark, forbidden, MM, erotic, 20k novella, Jacob gets the shock of his life when he and his fiancée visit his future father-in-law for the first time. The older man's increasingly more aggressive come-ons force Jacob to make a choice, either he submits to his father-in-law's lewd demands, or he risks losing his fiancée. This is not a romance so do not expect a traditional happily ever after.
Jay's an introvert and a weirdo who has always preferred the company of books over people. Pair that with a dirty mind and a brain that won't quit making up stories and you have Jay L. North.
Jay has always been a voracious reader, which is probably how most writers start out. In Jay's case, they began writing their own stories at a young age. When they couldn't find a book that suited their fancy they simply wrote it themselves - with varying results. Then they grew up, got a proper job, and almost forgot about their joy of writing. Only when they hit a wall after years and years of stress and an unhealthy work environment did they reassess their priorities and take up writing once again. And with a truck full of mental health issues, their stories are meant as pure escapism. They write spice and steam, and they choose to leave the profound and angst-y to others.
They live in the far north of the world where the winters are harsh and the forests are deep. They live in an old castle with their family which, apart from a few humans, also includes three Golden Retrievers and a small fire dragon. They spend their days happily reading (or writing) by the fire or walking in the woods.

After reading „uncle“ I just new I had to read more from this author and goddamn this book served!!!
This book is so smutty, so twisted and hot it’s almost like porn but with a good plot. I‘m just really hooked and the writing styles from the author just makes it even better!
But honestly I had to put the book down a few times and was like: „wth 😀?? And I genuinely felt sorry for Jake like he is soo good and then there’s Kent who is just so twisted evil, this guy is absolutely not normal😭 (I enjoy it A LOT). And that his girlfriend just KNOWS about all this and intentionally put him through all those things what happened, made me wanna smash her face. But still I enjoy this book immensely and I will read all the other parts of this series but I can see that things definitely will get heavy and I’m worried but at the same time really excited ( sorry Jake but I wish you all the best 😔✊🏻🍀).
I actually highlighted a few parts so here we go:
• "I just told you. Me and Shelley share everything."
•"Relax," the man said with a decidedly wicked grin. "I'm not gonna eat you. Just help you shave."
•"Just relax and Daddy's gonna use that juicy bubble butt as a cock-sleeve."
•Cum leaked in a steady stream from my ass, but Kent didn’t clean it up. He just pulled up my underwear and made me step into my jeans. “You’ll keep my cum right there where it belongs,” he said. Voice conversational but with an underlying command that couldn’t be ignored. “You’ll let it dry where it is, and then when you get back to New York tonight, you’ll be all crusty with the remnants of me.“
This was taboo. Filthy. Hot. And surprisingly not just porn, considering how short it is.
The content is exactly what the title says. I’ll keep my review short - if you pick it up, you need to turn your brain off. If you start questioning what happens, you might as well delete every last bit from your phone/ereader and read a “proper” book.
But if you’re in need of a very hot “fix” that’s almost addictive, then pick it up.
I can’t really rate it tbh. Is it a very twisted, dark, 5 star read? Or 1 star, because it’s all so very wrong?
This was fun! Filled with dirty talk, dubcon, and Daddy dick.
Part 1 of a 4-part series (Dub-con Daddies), 76 pages.
New-to-me author, I bought all their books on Smashwords after reading Uncle, which was uncle/nephew incest at its finest: glory hole, dubcon, first time, handcuffs, just the tip, somnophilia, screwdriver handle as a dildo, breeding kink.
This book has: father-in-law shaving the straight boy's groin, skinny-dipping, masturbating, filthy dirty talk, Daddy kink, huge dick - will it fit issues, butt-cheeks as a cocksleeve, shame and humiliation, 'boy-cunt' talk, prostate discovery on a boat, dubcon, first time, finger-fucking during a movie.
Highlights:
• “I just told you. Me and Shelley share everything.”
• “Relax,” the man said with a decidedly wicked grin. “I’m not gonna eat you. Just help you shave.”
• It was like the bloody Twilight Zone. The gay porno version of it. Here I was, spreading myself open for a man I met just a few hours ago, and who was the father of the woman I intended to marry. It was too bizarre to be real.
• My heart nearly jumped into my throat at the sight of the older man. Back ramrod straight and legs apart, he stood on the embankment holding his erect cock in his fist, slowly squeezing and stroking the hard length.
• “Well, get up here, son. We haven’t got all day.”
• “Just relax and Daddy’s gonna use that juicy bubble butt as a cock-sleeve.”
• Shock-boner, was that a thing? Yeah, must be.
There are loads more where that came from. The end of the book has a nice little twist, so you better buy book 2 as well!
It's always challenging to rate stories that tackle taboo or outrageous themes, especially when the story is as brief as this one. So, far I will go with 3.5 stars, but given its length, I'll reserve my final judgment until I finish the entire series. That said, it definitely delivered the disturbing factor I was looking for.
Hot and uncomfortable, my favourite feelings. But I've read the reviews for the next books and I'm not a fan of the twists, so I won't be continuing with this. I'm kind of sad and curious, a couple of my favourite feelings too, but no, thank you.
This book is smut galore, but it's like porn with a plot. I really enjoyed the writing style of the author.
Considering its dubcon and noncon elements, this is one of the rare dark books where I felt really uncomfortable and genuinely felt sorry for the main character. 😭 I know I'm contradicting myself here. I have mixed emotions about this book, so don't judge me. 😭
I find it hard to root for Kent because he seems too evil for Jake. I'm really not sure if I'll continue the series because of this. 😅
It's one of those rare moments where I wish Jake didn't end up with Kent and instead escaped from their fucked-up family. I also wished he would just punch his girlfriend in the face because of what she put him through. 😭
And am I the only one who thought of the movie Get Out while reading this? Especially with the twist at the end?
I’m in my filthy erotica era right now and it’s a terrible rabbit hole I can’t seem to get out of. This was hot af and super taboo and I ate this shit up. And the ending? I ran to pick the next one up so fast 🥵🥵🥵
What can I say, it was really hot! And I liked that there was actually a pretty great background story and context to it all. It didn't just jump right into the most hardcore smut but there was build-up that made it even better. And the twist in the end? I approve!
That was an amazingly erotic tale. Jacob and Shelley have gone to Shelley’s dad’s place for the weekend so Jacob can meet his soon to be father in law and announce their engagement. What happens just blows Jacob’s mind. His father-in-law makes inappropriate moves, gestures and touching. It isn’t long before he is demanding Jacob’s submission, his a$$ and telling him to call him Daddy. It is all erotic AF, and being in Jacob’s mind is a confusing place to be. He loves what is going on but is confused by it and thinks it’s wrong, even tho that just turns him on more. Shelley keeps dropping comments that just confuses him more. His father in law acts like a normal host in front of Shelley but then when they are alone, he’s all over Jacob. I was confused with Jacob. I felt his emotions and turmoil. His lust and arousal. It was an enjoyable read and I can’t wait for part 2. The writing was amazing. I’ve loved everything I’ve read by this author and this book was no different.
This has one of my favorite taboo kink scenarios, and that is father-in-law and son-in-law. It's dubc0n verging on n0nc0n, so if you don't like these triggers, stay away from this one!
It's really explicit, short, and addictive. I needed something wrong and naughty to read, and this delivered.
I don’t know how to rate it. Shelly’s manipulation is just… FUCK! I’m fine with non con and dub con but I’m not fine with mind breaking and this looks like it’s going in that direction
Holy fuck. That was so freakishly good. One of the best, most impeccably written MM erotica I’ve read in a while now! I’m so glad I scrambled to grab this over at Smashwords during that one-day sale last month and discovered the gem of an MM erotica author that is Jay L. North!
This was wild and I was hooked from start to finish! The scenes between Jacob and Kent were so compellingly executed and the pacing was on point! As always with any book I become deeply engrossed in, I started to get anxious when I was nearing the finish line—I just didn’t want it to end! So I was beyond elated to find out that there was actually more of Jacob and Kent! Ah, but I admit I was kind of sad to find out that the series veers towards the darker side more in later books (even if it isn’t that dark yet in this first instalment). I was really hoping that there would eventually be romance and a HEA between them, SNIFF. However, I am not averse to dark MM erotica (and in fact do write heaps of it myself) so I’m still intrigued and invested enough in Jacob (and yes, even Kent) to ride this through all the way to the (supposedly) tragic end because the writing here was just that exquisite, and ugh, the universe knows how badly I’ve been hankering for more quality MM erotica since there’s so little of it out there as it is.
There were several typos and formatting errors but it didn’t negatively impact my reading experience nor lessen my engagement (though the editor in me did itch to fix it to make this experience even more perfect, haha). (I’ve marked all of them on my Apple Books, and maybe I will send it over to the author when I find the time.)
Till the next book! Thank you ever so much for making and sharing this! You have a new fan in me. 🫶🏼
Wow… that was not what I was expecting at all from this book… Especially the ending. It really threw me for a loop. The book is pretty spicy and all about a young man’s first time with his future father-in-law. It definitely skirts noncon Very spicy read
Really hot! Progressed really well even though it was short and while there was little plot (ok, there wasn't much of a plot at all), it was written very well. The twist with the finace was both shocking but not. Was there incest between the two? Guess I'll have to keep reading to find out
This didn't really work for me. I didn't find it particularly erotic, nor did I think it was especially dark (which, for me, is a plus, but the summary describes this as a dark novella, which might be misleading). Despite the author's efforts to build up the tension between the fiancé, Jacob, and his future father-in-law, Kent, I wasn't really feeling it and was mostly bored reading through each subsequent encounter between the two.
Jacob's insistence on only being attracted to women was repetitive and tedious. I found it so boring that I just skimmed to the end after I was about halfway through the story. Additionally, Shelley's reaction at the end didn't come as a surprise, as she just confirmed what Kent had been telling Jacob from the start.
Starts like dark erotica and ends like a thriller? Yes, that's Jay L. North books - Topped by My father in law and Trained by my father in law. In the first book Jacob's absolutely normal life turns from Hallmark rom com to a horror movie in a blink of an eye. When he and his fiancé visit her father, Jacob has a forceful crash course in learning how to submit and go with the flow without asking questions. It's a shocking, non con experience that leaves the foundation of his sexual identity totally changed and shattered. And not only everything he knew for himself abruptly changed and shifted. He gained a Daddy - not the loving and caring type of one though. But a lot more disturbing was the subtle sinister vibe that all the lines crossed and obliterated were just the beginning. For such short reads both books are a real heart-stopping, pitch black delight.
I don't think I was supposed to like this as much as I did. It is dub-con and it is dark but there's a fairly bright night light on. You can see where you're going.
I have an inkling that these books do get darker as they go on which has me intrigued and excited. I quite like what's going on and I'm excited to see where it goes. Jacob does give in a little too easily for me, which is part of why it doesn't feel dark. I'm hoping that there will be some pushback because that creates conflict and will in turn make this more dark. As it stands, this first chunk just kind of feels like MM erotic light. That's not a bad thing. If anything, it's a good way to ease people into darker content. Not what I expected but I'm not upset.
Kent is a massive man. At least 6’6”, broad and muscular. He has a gorgeous house…
Jacob is apprehensive to finally visit, but the time has come.
Jacob lives in New York City. He’s a city boy.
Mistakes…gah. high school and college are not proper nouns.
Weird, ESL-esque phrasing.
The shaving scene is pretty bizarre.
Uncle, this is not.
Jacob’s denial is grating. How many times must we be subjected to ridiculous statements like I was one hundred percent straight… when Jacob can’t stop lusting about his future father-in-law? I lost count.
The action is meh…until the last scene. I’ll give her props on that one. It’s not the dubious consent element as much as the supreme irritation of Jacob’s inner monologues during their intimate times.
Weird AF ending. 🙄
The story has promise, but it’s squandered on incessant sexuality games.
“I’m not gay.” “Oh yeah? That’s not what your little dick says.”
I can’t leave a rating for these, because after reading the first three, and knowing what I know now, it’s too hard to separate them. Also, the author did try and warn me about what I was getting into. I’ve read a lot of ‘dark romance’ that’s barely even a shade of grey, but man, this series was DARK and I wasn’t prepared. Book 1 was nothing like book 3 but as it turns out, I had to skim book 3 and I’m not sure I can continue, even with the option of a HEA version.
If you like your books actually DARK, then I’m sure you’ll fare better than me, but I liked the writing enough to want to read more from this author.
