I…. There are no words, just intense gay panic.
Seriously if you’re looking for sapphic/WLW spice with a side of straps, tails and forked tongues this is probably for you. Though you will probably be re questioning your kinks after having read this.
I’m still digesting what I read but it made the last Katee Robert book I read look vanilla and cute.
This was an awesome read but holy crap I could never read this in public. It makes pepper spray seem like a therapeutic eye cleanser.
Saying that I will now be trying to find out if the author has written any other WLW novels because I am in DEEP. I am invested. I am gay afffff.
Also this was romantic and surprisingly heartwarming; my heart is mush.

Originally I DNF’d this. Review below. However, I needed the ongoing story to know wtf was going on to read the last book. I wasn’t going to come back to this one but am so glad I did because this book has a lot of cameos of past couples and because Naomi & Ella are friends with The Barista, I got a ton of backstory on his fated mates that I had been missing. I’m still not rating this because I skimmed most of it and had it not been part of a series I never would have gone back.

I’ve been trying to read this for days and it’s only 120 pages but I’m just kind of bored. I dont know how I can be bored with tail sex and kinky snake hypnosis but apparently I can. I think it’s more to do with the human female character, Ella, because she’s super insecure and her pov keeps taking me out of the story. Either way, I’m not feeling it.

As the world turns, the Barista is tasked yet again to find another mate for his monster clients. This time it is a gorgeous Naga Princess named Naomi. Yes Naga, as in she is half snake and 100% hot as fuck.
Ella is a human with human friends who are mated to other monsters and she wants to find her soulmate too. Despite these friends, Ella has always felt very alone without a family and that is what she craves desperately - to find someone who would love her, make her feel like a queen and find a family.
There is an instant attraction between Naomi and Ella and although they take their mating a bit slower than others. Honestly if my mating ceremony consisted of me wearing a harness thong made out of only rubies I would be mated by now as well. Also, lets discuss this hypnotization - cause that was hot and need more of it in my spice books!
This is book 7 in the creature cafe series and yes each book does add more and more to the complex situation the Barista finds himself in. We find out more about his past with Lucy (L) and its is very evident how he feels about a certain employee of his.

Naomi, the lovely Naga Princess, has enlisted the Barista's assistance in finding her ideal match. She wants someone who is open to dominance, hypnosis, pleasure, and pain, and Barista knows just who Naomi's ideal match is... Ella.
Ella has never really had her own family. Melody is her best friend and the closest thing she has to family… and since Melody is family, that makes the twins Icarus and Dalus family too. But all Ella wants is someone to love her and with whom she can love and share her darkest desires without fear.

This seventh installment in the Creature Café series is another home run and is a must read for anyone who enjoys edgy, steamy monster romance. Ms. Evans has a gift, she is a master storyteller that manages to quickly draw you into her tales of steamy goodness that keep you quickly turning the pages!
Little Taste of Need is an excellent addition to the series, and I can't wait to meet the orc again! This book / series gets my recommendations and this is truly a must read series!

Ok so a lot of my feelings on this are invalid based on how I impulsively accidentally jumped into book 7 in a series just because I wanted to get on this sapphic monsterfucking project and I also don't want to be nasty. I just got no enjoyment out of this whatsoever.
This takes place over a week. We jump right in, barely getting any introduction to the characters. Then we're on a date, then we skip past them getting to know each other (and we don't get to know them either) and then we're at a party having short interactions with other characters and then we're fucking and the story is half done. It was kind of comical how little space there was for the greater plot of the series, like we're just casually mentioning fighting Lucifer and it never comes up and the only conflict is the usual ex disturbance but more murdery than usual. I just couldn't be interested in anything and it's not just because I had no idea what was going on in this series. I've never felt like I knew the main characters less in anything.
The monster was really cool though. But I was checking twitter in the middle of the sex scenes and getting stuck reading news articles instead so that's not great. I guess some people don't need context for the sex but I definitely needed something more here. This thing is so short it felt like I was given a second hand summary of events rather than reading a story.

I’m shame to say it but I didn’t like it. I was super excited to read this one because hello look at the cover but I didn’t like it. (I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I have to be broken)
This story starts off with Naomi, a Naga princess, going to see her old friend, the Barista, to personally invite him to a ball her father is having but he soon figures out that the invite is a cover because she wants him to help her find her mate. The Barista agrees and sets her up with the beautiful Ella who Naomi instantly falls in love with her and wants to protect her from everyone!
Like I said in the beginning I’m broken! Because why didn’t I like it! I can’t give you one good reason why I didn’t like it and why I couldn’t connect with the characters or beloved their love for one another. But they didn’t do it for me The running plot line was great. I’m super excited about the books to come in this series but their love story fell flat for me.

Especially loved the FF of it all. Naomi was powerful and sexy. Ella was vulnerable and open. I love Clio Evans for her sexual fluidity and appreciated this installment the most.

These two were sweet. The gala was a wakeup call and although the father was nice, I questioned Naomi's judgement, putting Ella in danger. It seems all of the big strong monsters get mate brain fog in this series. The succubus ex was a bit cliche, but I did like how Ella handled herself.

This is a pretty solid series if you like monster romances. They feel like standalone books, though they're all connected as they all deal with different couples or groups. If I'm being honest, at this point I'm more interested in the Barista's storyline, but this book was much like the others. Steamy, hot, with monsters that make you drool.

I loved that Naomi+Ella talked, the I love you's were too soon, my favourite part was when they built and calm downed each others anxiety.
I also love that there's isn't a conventional relationship (you know, aside from her being a snake) in that they'll probably not have the white picket fence lifestyle.
I've never read hypnosis kink, so that was a first. The smut was inventive but at the same time, I couldn't get over Naomi being a Naga.
My question though was, why was Naomi seemingly against all males, just for the sake of they are male? Like the only person she showed complete respect and mutual love to was her father, any other male was just basically tolerated because they were male, yet these were seemingly her closest friends/acquaintances. That mindset didn't make any sense to me.
Again, I'm now just reading to get to the Barista's book and in this tale, we've not made progress on the Lucifer+Barista/Barista+Trixie long haul plot and since I've been checking on Clio's IG,

Naomi and Ella are officially vying for favorite match of the series status! Luna, Al, and Quinn still hold my heart, but it’s so close!
I loved how much of an emotional connection we got with this couple. There was an air of vulnerability with them that most of the books in this series hasn’t had.
Now that we’re coming towards the end of this series, I feel like the stakes are getting higher, and the Barista is less and less sure of how he can fix it all. The Barista is my entire reason for reading this series, so I love seeing him in a somewhat compromised state with Lucifer coming. It’ll be interesting to watch that story unfold!

This series is EVERYTHING I never knew i needed! They are all short and spicy but the characters have you falling in love with them from the first page!

As a WLW, I hate it when a WLW book disappoints me.
I lowkey hate it that the author decided to introduce the Lucifer-Barista plot. Like I'm here for monster porn, not plot and world building. Have them fuck each other sensless and go. I don't care about the rest.
And this book had the most side plot and Naomi and Ella just pining in the backgroud. I missed the smut... there was smut, but not as much as in first four books, let's say. The book really lacked the heat.
Eventually, I got to like Naomia and Ella. They were sort of really cute. But it was definitely the worst one out of all the books in the series so far in my opinion.

✨Synopsis: The Barista is back at it again in the seventh installment of the Creature Cafe series… this time it’s Naomi, the Naga princess, looking for someone to let her dominate them body, mind, and soul. She is used to getting her way, and expects obedience in all aspects of her life. But what she doesn’t expect is Ella, the sassy spitfire human with a mind of her own, to captivate her and slowly tear down the walls she built around her heart.
✨Thoughts: this is the first strictly FF couple in the Creature Cafe series and I absolutely adored them. I love seeing a tough as nails character absolutely turn to mush for their mate… and Naomi was exactly that. Ella might also be one of my favorite human characters in this series.
I also loved that Clio gives us a little more of a glimpse into the extended family that these monsters and their humans are building, and we see a little more of the Baristas struggles as his own story is coming close to its climax!

I’ll preface this by saying that I am not a normal reader of F/F books. But this was very well done. I loved how real Ella came across. She had fears and anxieties that fit so well with the situation. Her reactions seemed on par for what was happening to her. Evans wrote Ella to perfection.
Naomi was a wonderful character here as well, strong and unyielding, but with a sense of vulnerability that made her softer. The way that she treats Ella is beautiful. She cherishes her and adores her. I really liked the depth of their connection.
The steamy times were super sexy with several added elements due to Naomi’s Naga side. Evans has an imagination for days. These books are always written so well.
A little more information is trickled out about the Barista and the impending war with Lucifer. I can’t wait to see what happens. Next up: ORCS! I am so, so ready.

This book! OMG ! Nothing like I’ve ever read before. I love how protective Naomi was of Ella. She wanted to give her all the desires her heart so desperately wanted.
There was of course some drama, ex’s and the other monster .This was a spicy aka hot short story. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. Ella wanted a love and family of her own, and Naomi Long for a mate. It was amazing the story .
At the end of the day when danger came, Ella realized that she did have a family and they came to rescue right away. I highly recommend these spicy novella’s. Their oh so good. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Barista is back with his love matching. Naomi is a Naga Princess and Ella which we met in Little Song of Pain, Melody’s best friend, is the human chosen to mate with. We get more of an insight of Barista’s past with Lucifer and how the battle will commence sooner than later.
