Be Still #4

A Little Naughty

Rate this book
I wasn’t planning to propose to Raif Jones, the bad boy from the wrong side of town.
The one with the tattooed muscles, naughty blue eyes, and dimpled, James-Dean grin.

You see, it all started with a series of bad decisions.
First was flirting with a dangerous criminal to rescue a little girl I didn’t even know.
Second was throwing a massive, masked gala in my small-town hideout (complete with drag queens) and not expecting to draw attention…

Then Raif rode in on a motorcycle and melted my undies (and my heart), saying he wouldn’t let anybody hurt me.
Of course, I asked him to marry me.
Imagine my surprise when he said yes.

We’re a little naughty and a lot hot, and the perks of being married are very… perky.
They’re perky in the shower, on the kitchen table, against the front door…

Until Bad Decision #1 tracks me down (thanks to Bad Decision #2), and my outlaw husband turns Alpha Protector, risking everything to keep us safe.
It’s just a marriage of convenience. It’s supposed to have an end date.
But when the dust settles, walking away from Raif Jones could be the worst decision I’ve ever made.

(A LITTLE NAUGHTY is a small-town, marriage of convenience romance with single-mom vibes, a protective hero, no third-act breakup, and light suspense. No cheating. No cliffhanger.)

I really enjoyed this book. It is a standalone in the Be Still series but also the last one (from what I am understanding) and follows Raif and Jemima. I hadn't read all of the other books but was able to keep up just fine. This book made me smile almost the entire time I was reading it- it was so genuine and just adorable from the instant chemistry to both parties overthinking things to them both wanting more.

Jemima has decided to move back home. She is running from Branson with a girl she is claiming as her daughter in tow. She is nervous about being a mom and being back around her sister but very excited at the same time. She is also excited about the James Dean look alike who she has found herself thinking about several times over the past few months. In fact one of her first assignments in her new job as a reporter is to reach out to Raif to see if he would still be interested in her interviewing him about his potential new business. Will he remember her? Is the chemistry they had still there?

Raif is a Jones. He has been lumped in as being a bad guy because of his family name when in reality he is a gardener who has been planting flowers in his mom's honor for years. He feels as though there is no way out of his situation until Jemima. Jemima who doesn't look at him like he is a criminal. Jemima who stands up for him. Jemima who gives him hope that someone believes that he can be the man that he thinks he can be. She pushes him to want to be better and to prove everyone wrong. So when she proposes to him to potential help her adopt Nikki, the little girl, it takes Raif absolutely no time to agree with glee in fact. Because now that she is going to be his wife, he is going to do everything he can to get her to stay his. Even if that means protecting her from her past. Because it seems that it has come back to bite her.

I loved the chemistry between these two. I loved how Jemima had no judgment for Raif and how much that meant to him. I loved their relationship with Nikki. I loved the hope that they both had and how they decided to take the leap with each other. Raif was just such a sweetheart and no one had given him a chance. I also loved how the community ended up opening up to him and realizing the error of their ways.

Favorite parts:
- Sunset bike ride
- Learning how to cook
- Tulips
- VDAY Ad
- Wedding itself and night

I want to thank Tia Louise for the opportunity to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review! I am looking forward to going back and reading about Britt & Aiden and Alex and Cass. I am also looking forward to her upcoming sports romance! If you haven't picked up this series yet- I recommend that you :)

I think this is my favorite in this series. It's probably the single mom vibe, and I'm a sucker for it. 😂

Raif (mid-30s) and Jemima (27) have already met in Book 3, and it was an instant attraction for the both of them, but something came up, and Jemima had to get back to the town she used to live in. There was Nikki, a child whom she grew close to, and unfortunately, she is being held by a bad man. Jemima then decided to sort of kidnap Nikki to basically save her, and she brought her to her sister's town.

But Bill, the bad guy here, didn't like that Nikki was taken from her. So he ended up paying Jemima a visit and threatening her that he'd hurt her if she didn't return the kid. She threatened him back that she's going to adopt Nikki, and by then he'd have no say about her. But in order for the adoption to go through, of course, there are things that the system needs, and her single status isn't helping her case.

Therein enters the marriage of convenience with Raif; they're mutually attracted to one another, so doing this marriage thing wouldn't be a hardship for them. He wanted to help Jemima, and she knew there's no man she would rather do this with.

The story revolves around their family life and the romance between Raif and Jemima. Him proving himself to everyone that he's not a bad guy just because he was associated with his awful brother. Also, there is some suspense because of the threat hanging around Jemima and Nikki, courtesy of Bill.

This was fun, and I enjoyed it. The found family, sisterhood, parenthood, and small town life are so adorable to read. Jemima and Raif made their unconventional family full of love, and how they were supportive of one another. I did appreciate the suspense, but it was anticlimactic for me. It was resolved quickly, but a lot was damaged after. I almost got scared for a minute, but then I realized this was HEA. 😂

Overall, it was a good read, and the bonus epilogue was so cute, tying up everything in this series.

This was full of emotions, sizzling heat, angst and humor. Both Raif and Jemima have troubling pasts. While Jemima is clearly moving away from her's, Raif is caught in a current that could pull him into a dark place. I ached for him to make the right decisions and found myself talking out loud to him as though I could change whatever the outcome was.

I loved Nikki and her sweet innocence that enriched the story in so many ways. This author does an incredible job developing her storylines around children and bringing them to real, heartfelt life each and every time.

Jemima and Raif are kindle meltingly delicious. They light up the pages with not only their smexy times, but with the relationship they're building with each other and the fun characters in the town. Which reminds me to point out that this series has been THE BEST small town trope I've read in forever. I hate that this is ending. I need more!!!

This was completely unputdownable and the type of story you want to read again as soon as you reach the last page.

When I read the blurb of this book, I was so excited to start it and I've enjoyed reading books by this author before but unfortunately this one fell short. I could feel the chemistry between the main characters in the beginning but towards the end, it fizzled out. The marriage of convenience and adoption of the little girl were supposed to be the main parts of the book but everything was so wishy-washy. Some parts were really boring and I skimmed through most of it. The pacing also was real slow in the beginning. So while I liked some moments and some side characters, the execution of this book was poor and if everything was more detailed, maybe I would've liked the book more.

Author Tia Louise's small town romance A Little Naughty centers on the relationship between reporter Jemima Dixon and bad boy Raif Jones.

I knew right away that this book would not be like the previous Be Still novels. This one was thus my least favorite.

Like, don't get me wrong the characters and the writing were excellent, but I wasn't really feeling it. Despite how wonderful and wholesome each character was on their own, I didn't think there was much chemistry between them.

Having said that, I really loved Nikki and Jemima's bond. But I'll be honest—I was so attached to them that the ending broke my heart.

Overall, I've enjoyed the Be Still series so far, and the characters are great, but this was my least favorite so far.

I loved A Little Naughty. Jemima and Raif’s story is a sweet, steamy, and heartwarming romance. It includes found family aspects, a sexy misjudged bad boy with a heart of gold, a marriage of convenience, and a bit of danger too. It’s the fourth and last book in the Be Still series and it wraps everything up perfectly. However, I’m super sad to see this series end. I’ve loved this quirky little fictional town, the strong friendships, and all the super fun characters. I would so love to one day read a next-generation book with all their children grown up, especially Pinky’s story.

Something I like about this author's writing style is the touch of suspense she adds to her books, and this one was no exception.

Raif and Jemima's story was one I had been wanting to read since the previous book, and the little teaser they gave us was wow! I can say it surprised me because I saw a little more action than in the others. Raif in particular was a character I adored. He proved everyone wrong, especially with the way he treated Jemima. He didn't turn his back on her, which I loved. As for Jemima, she's a main character that I admired. Her strength saved little Nikki, and her courage to fight for what she wanted - a peaceful life with her family - was inspiring. There were a few things that didn't quite fit, but that's just my quirk.

The story was good; there's not a lot of drama, but there's enough suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat, eager to find out what's going to happen. Two characters who met at the perfect moment, and steamy scenes that leave you wanting more. As always, it's a pleasure to read this author and these characters.

📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.

📚 Review: A Little Naughty by Tia Louise

Book #4 in the Be Still series

💖 Genre: contemporary romance (with some suspense)

Tropes: romantic light suspense; small town; marriage of convenience; single mom vibes; good girl x good-bad boy; found family

My rating: 3.75-4/5 stars

A cute story of love and redemption that I really liked

This follows the story of Jemima, a singer who lives in a little town and impersonates Taylor Swift. And Raif, a supposed bad boy who isn't really bad but his town has him labeled as one. After Jemima rescues a little girl from a criminal she moves to her sister's town and starts her life over. Now acting as sort of a mom, she would do whatever is necessary to protect Nikki. She gets to meet Raif again because of her job, she's a journalist at the local newspaper, and they instantly feel attracted to each other. When her past comes back to haunt her, she does the only thing that she thinks of: she asks Raif to marry her in order to help her with the little girl's adoption.

This story has a lot of every day romance and a bit of suspense that keeps things interesting. I like single mom romances, single mom vibes in this case, because they usually portray a lot of the day to day of life. They feel real and don't need big scenes to work out. Watching two people fall in love and raise a child is as magical as reading a fantasy. There's something very powerful with what we call "routine" that shouldn't be underestimated.

I love the background idea of how much love and attention can set a person towards the right or the wrong path, there's something holy about that. Raif was always labelled as a bad boy in his community. His brother wasn't a good human being indeed, and his father was just a lost soul. All of them had endured a terrible loss. But what they all needed, and didn't get, was what Jem received: love and attention, someone protecting her. To feel supported and loved, even when she made a wholehearted but questionable decision.

Jem knew how to be that support net to Raif. She believed in his goodness and was set to prove everyone wrong about him; which, in turn, made him want to do the same. I like how they grow together through the story and the bond that they have with Nikki.

I also love the side characters, so I'll have to go back and read the rest of the series to learn their stories. I think it would be great if we also get to see the children's stories in the future. Especially I want to see a grown-up Pinky, she's gonna be a badass. 🩷

I thank the author and Grey's Promotions for the ARC that I received to review.

📚 Reseña: "A Little Naughty" (Un poco traviesos) de Tia Louise

Libro #4 en la serie Be Still

Raif is 100% not who people think he is. He is 100% fantastic. And trying to do right by so many that it’s hard to tell which end is up sometimes. But he knows that Jemima is his end game. She’s everything. She’s smart, funny, perfect for him, and she needs a partner. An ally. Someone to stick by her. Raif is definitely that man. He just has to decide which way he’s going to turn when it all falls apart.

Jemima is someone looking for love and family and a place to belong. Her sister is happy be part of that family, and everyone around is all about Jemima and Nikki and Monay being part of that family also. They’re also doing a complete 180° where Raif is concerned, and it isn’t solely because he clearly loves Jemima and she loves him. Nah, people finally see that he’s not his brother. He’s far better a man than that. And he does the right thing whenever possible, even if that right thing hurts him in the long run.

This story grabbed me more than anyone else in this series has, and that’s saying something. I wish we had more time with them, but I can always hope to see them again sometime soon, right?

A Little Naughty (ARC review)

Thank you to the Author Agency for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Jemima and Raif, OMG, these two own me. I didn't expect to fall in love with them so easily, but damn they had me in the first chapters. Jemima is such a sweet and caring woman. Independent and hardworking trying to build a life for her and her "daughter". She would do anything for her little girl, and you can see it throughout the whole book. She loved that Nikki with her whole heart. I couldn't get over how perfect Jemima was while also being human. She made mistakes, but she never did any harm. She loved her people and was there for them for every little thing. Raif, oh my! Raif was the best. That man adored Jemima. He was on his knees for her. He was her man and her person. That man worshipped the ground she walked. He was possessive in the best way, and he loved her the way she deserved. I have to add that Jemima loved him as much, and she was by his side through some difficult situations. They were meant for each other, and I adored how they couldn't keep their hands off of each other. I couldn't get enough of their moment together cause they were so special. They found such comfort and love in each other, and I could feel it throughout the whole book. Their epilogue was perfect for them!

Revving up love!

When Jemima returns to Eureka to be near her sister, Cass , she doesn't expect to meet Raif Jones whose family has a bad reputation. Jemima gets to know Raif through an interview she's doing for the local paper and sees a different side to him. In her old life, Jemima had rescued a young girl called Nikki, from a bad man and as she gets closer to Raif she knows what she needs to do. To help in keeping Nikki, Jemima starts the process of adopting her. To make it easier, she asks Raif to marry her.
Can they find the way forward that suits them? Will they be able to keep Nikki away from danger?
This was a fantastic read, chemistry, dogs and drag queens. The humour and the tension made me want for more!

As the final book in this series, Tia pulled zero punches when it came to giving us an amazing lineup of characters with a story that sticks with you long after the book is over.

Raif and Jemima's tension and chemistry carried over from the end of book three flawlessly. When they first collided, I couldn't wait for their story and Ms. Louise did NOT disappoint.

You have the misunderstood bad boy with a heart of gold and a charming smile who knew the minute he laid eyes on Jemima, that she was different. His character had so many beautiful layers and I enjoyed every time they got peeled back. He's also got a knack for dirty talk and surprisingly great cooking skills. Then you have the fearless, independent, good girl, Jemima, who never judges Raif like everyone else does. She accepts him and who he is and loves him for everything. Their little makeshift family made my heart burst through the entire book.

Tia is absolutely brilliant when it comes to her stories. The way she makes her characters come alive as you read about them, is like magic. Her books always have the perfect blend of romance, spice, whitty banter, and a little suspense. She's one of my "if she writes it, I'm going to read it" authors and for good reason. This book was sweet...spicy...emotional...angsty...
and tropes that checked all my romance book boxes.

If you love a small town romance with some forced proximity, touch her and d!e, opposites attract, single mom(ish), he falls first, found family, and more? This book is right up your alley. I highly recommend you scoop this one up!

DNF 46 %

I might get back into this at a later date but probably will not.

The beginning of the book felt super confusing to me and I think that since I had not read the previous books in the series, there was a lot of background information that I was missing. Like what happened with Jemima the first time she was in Eureka? What happened between when Jemima first met Nikki and when she ended up going to Eureka with her? I feel like those were important bits of the story that either were not told at all or were told in other books which is just weird.

This book was not necessarily bad per se, just boring to me. I read through 46 % of this book but never just got into the story at all. I think it was a bit boring and I felt like nothing had really happened at this point.

There was insta-love, a bad guy and small town drama but nothing that managed to really suck me into the world of this series or the book itself.

I had heard good things about this series and the blurb seemed interesting enough. Still, when I started reading this book it was just a bit meh for me. Even though it would have been quick to finish since I already got almost halfway through, I just did not feel it was worth my time and effort and I'd rather move on to books that I really enjoy reading.

This book wasn't for me at ALL.

For example:
“I don’t know.” I shake my head. “I’m not smart enough for politics.”

Why would the MFC say this about herself like this? I guess it makes sense when she thinks it's OK just to run in the sunset (aka kidnap) with a random kid 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hate it when authors put down their female characters like this...on the other hand this has to be one of the least intelligent characters I have ever read.

In what world can someone just acquire a child? I can suspend reality quite a bit in books like this but I don't understand how the MFC thought it was okay to abscond with some random child instead of going to the authorities like a sane and rational person?

The fact that the MFC was a Taylor Swift impersonator/journalist was just too much. The constant references are just ugh 😑 😩

Raif and Jemima were such a strong duo and individually. I was obsessed with both and loved them together.

Jemima was raised by a single mom in Branson, MO and she had a rough upbringing. Neglected at a young age and raised herself while watching her mom leave at night to perform music and addicted to drugs, she had to grow up quickly. All she wanted to was to be in SC with older sister Cass(Book 2) but her mom left her there with an aunt.

Fast forward 18 years later and Jem is an adult and decides she’s moving to SC. New change and a new life. While waiting for her best friend she spots a young girl alone. She starts talking to her and then a man comes and takes her saying he’s watching her. Jem knows something is off so she ends up kidnapping her and takes her with her to SC. It sounds horrible but in the book it’s very justified. 🫣😂

In SC she ends up helping at the towns newspaper and starts a life with her sister and the little girl. Jem wants to try to get custody of Nikki(the little girl) and it’s suggested it would look better to be married.

Raif has been raised on the wrong side of the tracks. His brother causing issues in town, his dad is a drunk and they live in a run down trailer. Raif is that character who looks rough but inside is the absolute sweetest. His heart is full of love and his actions show all his love. He plants tulips all year long in honor of his mom. When he meets Jamima, he instantly is so into her.

Side Note: The mental commentary we read from Raif made me swoon! The sweetest thoughts he had of Jem just made his character top notch!

She asks to interview him for a new job adventure he’s thinking of doing. Over the course of the interview, it turns flirtatious and adventurous!

After a couple meet ups for the interview and a hook up, Jamima asks if he will marry her so she can adopt Nikki. He says yes right away and from that second he instantly has “my wife” personality and turns Alpha towards anyone who wants to hurt Jamima or Nikki. Also, they were both so open and talked through their thoughts and feelings. It was written so well and Tia really made it feel like an adult relationship.

This book was so good! I absolutely loved it!

A Little Naughty is the final book in the Be Still series. It's in a small town of Eureka, SC, a marriage of convenience between a motorcycle riding bad boy and a short term single mom. You will get no cheating, no cliffhanger, some suspense, The Stones as secondary characters and a very satisfying HEA. The MMC is a complete teddy bear to his Taylor Swift look a like FMC and I love that both MCs have found family situations. This whole series are 5 star books, you will not be disappointed by this authors superb writing skills.

Raif Jones, who has a reputation of being a trouble maker, has a business idea to cut down on the wild hog population and Jemima Dixon, a Swifty songbird turned reporter, wants to interview him for the town's newspaper but before she can do so she has to go back to Branson to pick up a package in a little girls form.

Three months later Jemima returns and Raif hasn't stopped thinking about her but he knows that the Stones, her new found family, thinks he's bad news because of his brother. Jemima knows that he's been falsely accused because the man she has gotten to know will go to any lengths to help her and that includes accepting her marriage proposal so she can gain custody of the little girl she took from a very bad man.

The very bad man has come to claim what belongs to him. However, Raif must make a decision that will affect more than himself. At the end of the day, he hopes being a little naughty will gain him a family and career that no one thought he had the potential for...

I really enjoyed A Little Naughty! We were introduced to Raif and Jemima in A Little Luck, so I was super excited to see how their marriage of convenience storyline played out.
Raif and Jemima are too perfect for each other. They are both misjudged by people (especially Raif) and they both see beyond the prejudice against them & fall head over heels. They have an instant connection which led to a very sweet romance.

This book is super steamy! I think I would say this is the spiciest one out of the bunch. Raif and Jemima had a spark that couldn't be extinguished.

I would have to say Raif stole the show though. He was the best book boyfriend and I was a big fan of his character. I'm very happy he got his own book. I liked Jemima too. Plus Monay and Nikki. It was nice to see reoccurring characters from previous books but I think I would have liked more scenes between Jemima and Cass since they're sisters who haven't seen each other in a long time.

I found the plot to be interesting and I liked how it was resolved.

A good ending to the Be Still series! I would say to at least read A Little Luck before picking this up or you may be a bit lost in the beginning with the character dynamics.

I absolutely adored this story.

Raif is a terribly misunderstood man due to his family & everyone around him thinks he’s a criminal when in fact he’s as sweet as can be. The lengths he goes to in order to make Jemima happy gets me all 😍

Jemima is just trying to survive after her mother passes when she was younger & takes it upon herself to help another little girl with no one.

Jemima comes back to Eureka with Nikki hoping to outrun the bad man who had Nikki.

And while working at the paper with Piper, she has run ins with Raif & that instant connection between them is pure 🔥

After learning that the bad man could come back to hurt her or Nikki, she proposes an idea to Raif which he gladly decides to do to help her.

After getting married their connection only intensifies making it all the more 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I absolutely loved their relationship & how well they worked with one another. This story had me smitten with Raif & hoping for the best for Jemima & Nikki.

This was yet again another hit for me & something I could see myself rereading just for the comfort of it all.

Absolutely amazing job!

A Little Naughty is all about the bad boy, who has the kindest heart, and the good girl, who likes to be a little bad, falling in love!

Raif Jones is my favorite hero in this series of standalones! All his life he has been judged because of his family and where they live. No one sees his heart. Raif is kind, sweet, loyal and a problem solver. He is also protective with a touch of alpha. Gah! I love that he plants flowers for his mama, who passed away when he was young, and for Jemima.

Jemima has a big heart and really sees people. The way she sees Raif was everything! She finally moves home and is trying to keep Nikki, a young girl she saved from a bad man, safe. That story arc was heartbreaking and beautiful.

These two have a love at first sight feel! I just couldn't get enough of them! The sweet things Raif does for her and the way Jemima supports and encourages him was chef's kiss perfection. The spice and storyline were on point. I love that we get a peak at their future and that the Stone family takes them both into the fold. Found family is one of my favorite tropes and this series has that in spades! This is definitely one book I'll be rereading!!!

ARC review!

"I was a discarded book everyone had taken one look at and decided wasn't worth reading, but she took the time to see inside the cover."

I swear this series got better and better with each book and I do believe Raif and Jemima are definitely my favorite. The bad boy who isn't as bas as everyone thinks and the somewhat impulsive singer trying for a better life than the one she left behind in Branson, MO.

These two are drawn to each other from the moment they met in the previous book and it carried right over into this book. They couldn't deny their attraction if they tried. Poor Jemima has so many people in her corner telling her he is not good but she stands her ground and finds out just who Raif Jones really is. He is a dependable, hard working, protective, motorcycle riding boy who had the bad luck of sharing DNA with his trouble making brother. Jemima does not let that deter her in the least and when she needs him to pretend to be her husband there is absolutely no hesitation on his part.

Everything about this book was so fantastic from the main characters, the characters we have already met, and the new secondary characters introduced. I loved seeing Raif go from an outsider to being welcomed into the family circle that Jemima belongs to. He deserves a found family like that. Seeing the Stone brothers warm up to him and realize they may have been wrong about him.

Ms. Louise always manages to give her readers stories that will have us on the edge of our seats at times and yet our hearts are so full and warm by the end of the book. This series have been a joy to read.

A Little Naughty- Tia Louise
Narrated by Willa Jaymes and Dane Anderson

Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I’m both happy and sad with the conclusion of this one. I’m sad the series is over, but I hope this won’t be the last we see of the Eureka crew. And everything happened how it was supposed to happen. Logically I know that. But there’s a little piece of my heart that wishes that it would have been different. I did however absolutely adore Jemima (yes like the syrup 😂), the lost sister, back after her mother took her away as a kid and then left her to fend for herself, and Raif, the bad boy by association trying to claw his way out of his poor reputation his family has created, and Nikki, the sweet 9 year old that Jemima literally rescued from traffickers after her mother abandoned her and wants to adopt, and Porkchop, Raifs adorable pup that doesn’t listen to anyone by Nikki. They were the cutest little makeshift family and they all fell in love with each other in the most beautiful way, and ultimately they saved each other, in more ways than one.

This was my first from Willa Jaymes and Dane Anderson but they both did a fantastic job! I am going to be adding them to my Rolodex of narrators I actively seek out to listen to. Wonderful job!

tia louise will never fail me and she’ll forever give me books that will pull my heart strings and send me into a fit. WHEN I SAY THIS BOOK WRECKED ME.

when i first was introduced to raif and jemima in a little luck, i was intrigued and wanted a story of them so bad because raif was just so attractive and i love a bad boy whose not really bad but has that rep. I LOVED THEM SO SO MUCH.

i loved the whole concept of jemima doing everything for nikki and taking care of her, even agreeing to marry so she can adopt her. i loved how raif would do anything for her and he grew to love her and nikki so much. raif jones is the man. the blueprint. the “my wife”?? if YOU LOVE A PROTECTIVE HUSBAND THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU.

i just loved this book so much, loved being back in eureka, im forever happy there. the ending wrecked me but i like to imagine that nikki is still there with them so thats how it ended for me.

I loved Raif and Jemima’s story. Jemima is Cass’s younger sister. When they were young, their mother left Cass to live with their Aunt Carol and Jemima lived with their mother. The mother was an aspiring country singer, but unsuccessful and was also a neglectful drug addict. So Jemima pretty much had to take care of herself. She came to Eureka where Cass lives. She met Raif Jones, part of a family with a bad boy reputation. He tried his best to prove everyone wrong and do right by Jemima. Back in Branson, Jemima crossed paths with Bill and the little girl that he was with named, Nikki. She had a bad feeling about them and she took Nikki when Bill’s house was raided. Jemima brought Nikki with her to Eureka. She began a relationship with Raif and wanted to adopt Nikki. She was told Nikki’s mother left her with Bill and the mother’s friend. Jemima came up with the idea of her and Raif getting married to make it easier to adopt Nikki. They got married. Raif’s brother was trying to get him on board as a lookout for a heist. He agreed to do it because he would get paid to be able to start his pork business. As the 3 of them got comfortable as a family, Raif had 2nd thoughts and although he showed up at the heist, it ended up being human trafficking and he called the police. He was headed back to his house to protect Jemima from Bill the human trafficker. He ended up getting shot. He survived. His brother ended up in prison and Bill ended up dead. Nikki’s mother came to town and found her. Jemima and Raif had no choice, but give up Nikki to live with her mother. They went to Canada and Raif let them take the dog, Porkchop. Raif and Jemima stayed together, had a son and Raif became Entrepreneur of the Year due to his free range pork business. I thoroughly enjoyed this story for the spice, the good story, the sweetness between Raif and Jemima and the funny cast of characters. It was my favorite in the series.

i just knew raif was gonna have me blushin and swooning and he sure as hell did not disappoint 🤭

raif and jemimah were so hot but also so sweet. this man was looked down on his whole life because of his last name and everyone counted him out and treated him like he was dirt, but jemima saw through that and realized how good of a guy he is and he felt so safe with her and I literally love them so much i’m gonna cry (again) jemimah didn’t get the luxury of a good childhood like her sister and everyone else in town so she and raif have more in common than they realize and i just UGH THEY ARE SO 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

this was an awesome marriage of convenience, bad boy, sweet and spicy read and I literally love everything about it 🥺

I have loved every book in this series and this was no different. I loved Jemima and Raif's story so much. It had heart, heat and definitely mixed in some healing, too.

I've been curious about Raif since he was first mentioned earlier in the series and this bad boy with a heart of gold was everything I hoped and more, a delectable book boyfriend! And Jemima...I'm so glad she found her way back to Eureka and saved a sweet girl in the process.

It's always a treat to revisit the cast of characters in this interconnected series of standalones, the kids and the pets made me laugh throughout the series. This group sure knows how to love fiercely and protect their own. I'm sad to see the series end!

What a wonderful book, I was so excited being on the team to review this book, Tia is one of the first authors that I fell in love with when I started reading again....

Jemima and Raif, OH my Soul, this book had me on the edge of my seat and running to read whenever I have a moment. Hubby came looking for me more than a few times because I just couldn't put this book down.

I fell inlove with the easy love that these two have, the electricity and sparks flew, and how they defied all odds and didn't care what others thought about their love, and proving every one wrong...

This book rounds off the series wonderfully and makes my heart happy❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍

Please read this book the moment you can, I really hope you love it as much as I did🥳🥳

Loved this story SO MUCH!!
Our hero was a bad boy or so everyone in town labeled him. EXCEPT our heroine. She saw the good in him.
The story that followed was everything I love in a romance.
Yes I enjoyed the steamy love story but my favorite parts were the interactions with a precious little girl.
The love they have for each other made me smile.
The little family they created after hard circumstances melted my heart.
Then it changed and it fell apart my heart broke and I cried paragraph after paragraph tears rolled down my face.
But Thank goodness this is a Tia Louise book because she gave me a wonderful epilogue that made everything PERFECT!
