Someone died. Well, come to think of it, I think there were two people that died.
Pssssshh. I hate it. I wish they didn't kill one of them because I grew sort of an attachment to the guy. That Gwendolyn person is the one that needs to die.
Yeah. Instead of working, I'm here reading and finishing SAGA No. 17. Yup. It's really addicting. Because the story for both Marko and Alana here were getting dangerous as the series went by.
And lastly...
As per Prince Robot IV said, "Because the opposite of war is.. fucking."
This issue pretty much explains the hullabaloo over Prince Robot IV's screen when he was last injured severely in battle.
Also, the last line uttered in this issue pretty much sums up the situation after Prince Robot IV gets everyone in trouble. An appropriate solicitation description when this book was up for pre-order.
Deaths in this series are always poignant and never feel gratuitous even if they are grotesque. That said, poor Klara has been through a lot in the space of just a few issues.
I do appreciate how the dramatic encounter delivered in this issue comes several issues after the cliffhanger that concluded the previous arc. Vaughn is a master of pacing throughout the series.
All that I can say is "Oh my fing God" what jus happened?
Things move this story quickly into a new direction...Wow.
I love this series, my first adventure into graphic novels. This edition has some serious game changing action that left me very angry that I do not have the next edition yet...
Gwendolyn is an emotionally driven, stupid bint. I've thought that since her introduction and my opinion hasn't changed. Who could blame Marko for not wanting her?
