20-something Gemma enters a world of magic and becomes the overpowered protagonist of her dreams. After almost being murdered her first week of school, she's reluctantly involved in the investigation surrounding her attack. While learning the ins and outs of the magical world, Gemma encounters other humans - in a biblical sense - and she tries to adapt to her new normal. The more Gemma uncovers, the more she realizes there is to explain. Can she figure out why she's super special? Can she figure out why all the other mages are so appealing? Can she touch all the body parts of everyone she encounters?
As an avid romance & fantasy lover, I would recommend this book to readers wholeheartedly. If you’re looking for an immersive read with elements of humor, action, and a memorable MC, this checks all the boxes. Throughout the novel, the author has a distinct voice that combines both humor and depth to paint a vivid and compelling story. The length was a bonus as well, given that the story clips along at a fast pace. I especially loved the world building and mage-ical aspects of this book and I hope more installments are in store!
