This little novella is the right kind of book for the holiday season. Now, while I think it is written to be a stand alone in a series, and it works, there was a part of me wishingI knew a smidgen more about the characters’ background.
The story is full of family love at Christmas which does often involve secrets, fun, mystery, varying personalities and more. In an effort to make up for the previous years Christmas—— one where one sister got married and Connie had her baby early, Connie works hard to prepare a wonderful first anniversary celebration and first birthday party…. And she does succeed with a few bumps along the way.
As I said, a nice holiday read. Great literature, probably not, but right for the holidays.
A well written holiday novella that provides another glimpse into the lives of the beloved characters from "Secrets of Sunshine Inn." A year has passed and the family gathers together for a much anticipated Christmas celebration. There is the mystery of the missing nativity which holds a secret of its own, a perfectionist who feels the need to make up for going into labor the previous Christmas impacting her sister's wedding and who also struggles to remember the true meaning of Christmas, insecurities are addressed, traditions and more.
I received an ARC of the book and I am leaving my own opinion without influence from the author or publisher.
It was so much fun to go back to The Sunshine Inn with Connie, Beth and Abby and the rest of the family! Connie is planning a Christmas Reunion with her family. As with any family reunion you have fun, excitement, craziness and of course a little mystery. A great short read, that will captivate you from page 1 until the very end! I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
A sweet Christmas novella; with sisters Connie, Beth, and Abby. Along with Connie's daughter Karly's first Christmas. Connie is planning and doing a Christmas family reunion, and of course things never go as plan. Do things come together at the end? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters.
I enjoyed this book about family and what they will do to keep every thing for the Christmas season in harmony even with some snags along the way. Thank you Annie for this wonderful story about family at Christmas.
This book is such a great read. It holds your attention from the first page until the last. It's a fun fast read that was a joy to read. I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
The sisters reunite at the Inn for Christmas and it appears there are many secrets. This was delightful to read. Sit back....and enjoy!!! Annie always gives us love, family and a little mystery.
This book is a great ending to the Sunshine Inn Series. I thoroughly enjoyed it. However it is ridiculous how it was broken into short segments. It really should have been 1-2 books at the most.
