JET VI - Justice continues the saga of the former Mossad operative as she battles to survive in a world intent on destroying her. From the streets of Argentina to the corridors of power in Moscow, her past continues to haunt her even as she flees it with all her heart.
Jet and Matt hope they have disappeared from the Mossad and various enemies from the past. They have relocated to Argentina and all is going well until Hannah’s best friend, Catalina, is kidnapped. Jet and Matt attempt to find and rescue her. The good deed exposes them and they are on the run again with a Russian assassin after them.
The story has lots and lots of action and suspense. Blake provides some super fight scenes that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I have a feeling the series is coming to an end. This is a good get away from it all series.
Braden Wright does a good job narrating this series. Wright is an actor, voice over artist and audiobook narrator.
I love seeing what situations Jet manages to get into. I think what amuses me so much is because all Jet wants is to be left alone, to raise her daughter and find some sort of happiness. It seems like time and time again she manages that for a few days, months, but then her past comes back or she can't let a wrong go, she needs to defend the little guy and what is right.
Even though I don't like what Jet got involved in, I was glad that she did step in to help out a new friend. I found Sophia's father to be a nice surprise for an ally. Was glad that things once again turned out in Jet's favor and that she didn't loose another person she has come to love.
I hate that there are a couple more enemies left to come after Jet. Plus I think through this adventure a couple more have exploded on the scene. I hope that Jet can keep ahead of them!
A fast-paced thriller with a female lead. Has her latest CIA cast off the one? Will the bad guys leave her alone? Enjoyable action adventure at its best. Good series.
'Justice' was another great, action packed, thrilling adventure. The story line was incredibly interesting and I had a hard time putting it down. I love when Jet gets 'down' time, but it never lasts. Matt and Jet gets pulled into more life or death scenarios. But they never lose hope. I can't wait to see where they end up next. A great add to your tbr list.
Jet's friend Sophia's daughter has been kidnapped and a ransom demanded, at the start of this incredible adventure thriller from Russell Blake's latest JET story.
As it happened to her years before, Jet is completely empathic with her friend's situation and moves into the family home with Hannah to support them. Realising Sophia's husband Tomas is not being completely honest in saying he's completely stunned by this turn of events - and it turns out she's right of course!
She and her PI partner Matt soon trace what's going on and Jet rescues Catalina unharmed to Sophia's delight. Events soon take a downward spiral and I liked the way Jet stayed strong when her daughter Hannah was kidnapped too, [by the Mob boss Sophia's husband was in debt to, who killed Tomas (and his policeman brother), when he tried a double-cross]. Having the story go cross-continent expanded the storyline and increased the tension which I thought worked really well and made sense to the plot too. The explosion that took out Jet's plane with Sophia's relatives/soldiers being killed, yet leaving Jet unharmed enough to swim in a strong river current, while dressed in combat gear in the Columbian jungle, with natural and human predators and still come out on top seemed pretty unrealistic, although clearly it wouldn't do to have Jet killed off! Overall the book worked well and I look forward to reading all 13 (to date) of these excellent spy adventures as soon as possible. Get your copy now!
Gunfights, bank robbers, explosions, kidnappings, helicopter escape, plane crash. All in a normal day for Jet.
She and Matt's plan is to live a quiet life in Argentina, hoping their enemies not find them. Yea, right. Jet befriends Sofia, the mother of Catalina. The little girl is kidnapped, and Jet's quiet life ends and so does a lot of bad guys.
Action filled scenes. That's why I've liked this series. It doesn't bother me that character development isn't a priority in these books. Jet's character is revealed in the adrenaline-pumping paragraphs. I love it.
Rated: PG Scenes of violence. No curse words. No sexual scenes
Blake is an author that takes a half a dozen chapters to set things up, which is something I don’t like. I ve put down Clancy’s novels because I can’t stand wading through all this crap before it generates interest. At 15% into it I get a glimmer of what might be coming and now chapter five goes two months back in Russia? We finally get going but then Sofia’s husband is Tomas, and I have to go back and see where I saw that name? It is finished and wow, when it takes off it is turning pages like crazy. Fantastic story that I really enjoyed even with my earlier bellyache. 5
It's been awhile since I read the last Jet book, but it was easy to slip back into the story. As always, you know exactly what you are getting with these books. Lots of action, with very little in the way of character development and bad guys that aren't much more than cardboard cutouts.
Yet, they are still entertaining reads. You can easily burn through one in a day, and if you like reading about a kick ass woman mowing down bad guys with all her lethal combat skills, then you can certainly do worse than the Jet series.
Jet and Matt have a long list of enemies. Not surprising, one a former Mossad operative, the other CIA. To further add to their worries, Jet's daughter Hannah is kidnapped by Matt' former psychopathic ex girl friend. She wants the diamonds back he took from her as well as revenge for dumping her. Jet, Unfortunately list of enemies is long. Non stop action from the first to last page!! Enjoyed immensely!!
Russell Blake said he wanted to write a story that revolved around a few days of action. WOW! Did he ever write a story! I literally had a hard time putting it down. I had to force myself to stop so I could “try” to get some sleep. Because, with all the non stop action it was hard to actually get to sleep!
I think i should just enter five stars from now to the end. THe stories are uniformly thrilling, fast paced, and absolutely addicting. This time we have three nefarious groups out to get Jet and Matt. These poor people can never catch a break! So if non stop action and lkeable main characters are your thing, along with exotic locales and really nasty villains. this is your series.
This was a local library loan. The usual upheaval, plenty of dead bodies, family on the run. Of course, Jet eliminates a sworn enemy, makes another, but also gains a powerful friend. Fast moving read, not disappointed.
This novel is almost nonstop action as Jet races to save the young daughter of her friend. Meanwhile Jet’s daughter is kidnapped and Matt is injured and also in danger.
I just started volume 7. This may be the last one I read. Too much of the same, unlikely Jet would continue to kill all of these highly trained killers. Could have stopped with volume 4 or 5 but 19 volumes??
I don't even know where to start.. This was a Nailbiter all the way through. Jet's skills to defend or take revenge are just amazing! I can't wait to read the next one! As the story continues, I'm more into the characters!
And so the adventures continue with teh action coming thick and fast and Jet now fighting for 3 lives; her's, her daughter's and Matt the new man in her life...........yet again peoiple from the past are coming for revenege on both Jet & Matt. This was well written believable and another great installment in the whole Jet saga.......with more to come :)
I really like Jet as a character and I enjoy the author’s writing style when he concentrates on how she plans and executes her assignments or fights to escape her pursuers. Unfortunately, I really dislike the way he constructs the whole book. The introduction to the story often takes a massive chunk of the book before we even get a glimpse of Jet. What makes it even worse is the way he jumps backwards and forwards in time. You start to get interested in one of the plot lines only for the next chapter to jump back a week. An occasional flashback can add to a story but I don’t understand why the author continually skips backwards and forwards, as this destroys the flow to the story. Once the main story got going this was an interesting and exciting thriller and even though the author creates some preposterous situations I really enjoyed the way Jet deals with her enemies.
