A Make Out to Remember

Rate this book
There’s nothing more damaging to one’s ego than realizing your Mystery Midnight Make Out Partner from two years ago has no recollection of you…

Britta Gracen is happy for her bestie, Liss, and the once-in-a-lifetime love she found with pro snowboarder, Alden Beaumont.

It’s Alden’s friend, Cash, that gets under her skin…

Why? Because two years ago after a concert, she and Cash kissed.

Not once. Not twice. But full-on made out after one of her gigs.

And for Britta, it was the single most thrilling experience of her life. But with no way to track the mystery man down, she chalked up their interaction to a serendipitous moment with a handsome stranger.

Except, he’s no longer a stranger and very much inserted into her life.

And much to her embarrassment, Cash doesn’t seem to remember her—at all.

There aren’t many authors who can release a book and I read it instantly in one sitting but Dulcie Dameron manages to get me to do it each and every time.

If you haven’t read Three Days to Forget I would definitely recommend reading it before this one because the MCs from that book are in this one a lot. Plus it’s just amazing and everyone should do so ASAP.

I struggle with the miscommunication trope a lot and honestly I worried when I heard that this book had trope within, but just trusted that Dulcie knows what she is doing and she didn’t let me down. Yes, it is there, but at the same time you can easily see why they don’t immediately clear things up.

I adored Cash. Like he is a total cinnamon roll who adores his family and yet has tattoos, a man bun, plays the drums and rides a motorcycle. I loved that he had an instant spark with Britta and that he just wanted to be near her always. Seeing him just longing for her was everything and it made that moment when they finally put everything together so worth that journey.

Like ahhh *Blackberries* that’s all I’m saying.

Britta is just a spunky brat in the best of ways. Like her snarky one liners made me laugh and I adored the warring thoughts and feeling she has when it came to Cash. I loved that she was a curvy FMC and that Cash always built her up and made her feel beautiful. Cash calling her out on her doubting herself and making her see how he saw her was everything.

I also loved that it was like a mash of enemies to lovers and friends to lovers at the same time depending on whose POV you were reading. So you get the banter and snark but also the longing and tension.

Like truly if you haven’t read a Dulcie Dameron book just do it. You can’t go wrong with any of them and she proves it again and again. And can I just say Dulcie writes the best kiss scenes and this one has plenty. Yes, it is slow burn but then it’s like fiireeeee!

Read. A. Dulcie. Dameron. Book.

PLEASE ignore the title…I know, ok, I know. I’d been looking forward to this release since I loved the first book earlier this year. There was a lot of tension and a solid frenemies to lovers trope but they literally didn’t get to together until the last 10% of the book and then all of a sudden were engaged. Was the story cute? Yes. I expected more swoon but I did love all the less popular micro tropes she slid into the plot (drummerxdancer, employeexcustomer, second chance, etc.) Overall, it was a well-rounded read but I would recommend the first book, Three Days to Forget over this one. 3⭐️

4⭐️ ARC Review: I love being able to read Dulcie's books! I am seriously never disappointed. Her books are always fresh and exciting, and obviously this one was no different.

Cash and Britta had fiery chemistry from the very first page. I mean that meet cute? 🔥 Even though miscommunication is the main drive of this story, it surprisingly didn't frustrate me like it usually does. It was done very well, and made for a fantastic moment between Britta and Cash.

I also enjoyed seeing the characters from the previous book in this series. They played a large role in this book, but I felt like it never took away from the romance between Cash and Britta. Anyways, I really enjoyed their story and loved that ending.

*Thank you to the author, Dulcie Dameron, for the complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Read if you enjoy:

A Make Out To Remember is the second book in the West Coast Slopes series. While characters from the previous book make appearances, this could definitely be enjoyed as a standalone as well.

Simply put, I absolutely LOVED this book. If you're like me and don't like to wait too long for that first kiss... but also love the payoff of the perfect slow burn... this book is for you! I absolutely adored their meet cute... it was funny and awkward and leads to quite a make out not too long after... and one that it seems, when they meet again two years later as best man/maid of honor, he has forgotten about. Despite her annoyance at being forgotten, the chemistry between these two is absolutely undeniable and I couldn't get enough of it. There was so much to love--- the banter, the drum lessons, the TATTOO, the faith elements, and of course, the kisses! Dulcie Dameron is an absolute master at writing kissing scenes that bring all the swoon and sizzle without being too much, and this book is a prime example of that.

A Make Out to Remember is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language with light faith elements.

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

2.5 ⭐️

So to be honest, I likely shouldn’t have picked up the book based on the fact the author said there’s prolonged miscommunication. But I had loved the previous book in the series and I wanted to revisit all the characters :). However, the miscommunication was just way too prolonged for me and made me really frustrated with the FMC. When the miscommunication was finally resolved, I felt like it went right to instalove and one of the things that happened in the last 15% of the book, I would have loved to see more of throughout the whole book.

I know that a lot of people are loving this book and like I said, I really really enjoyed the first book in the series and definitely plan to read more Dulcie books; this one was just a miss for me because I don’t enjoy the miscommunication trope.

When it was first hinted that this book was going to be a wild ride, as opposed to wanting to stay away, I became a moth to its flame!  This book hit all the feels and I’m beyond happy to share this review!  I love that this book started with a prologue to help fuel all the emotions for the rest of the book!

Britta is a former backup dancer, current interior designer, and parttime party planner!  She usually can control herself with poise and decorum, but around Cash she’s not!  Cash brings out the feisty, spitfire side to her personality and honestly, I love it!  The push and pull of the pair being around each other is amazing, but what do you expect when their besties have gotten married and subsequently named Britta and Cash the godparents!

Cash is a former extreme sports athlete, current trainer, tattoo enthusiast and most loving of uncles any kid could ever ask for!  Cash’s life hasn’t exactly been a walk in the park, but he longs for more than a passing fling to satisfy him!  Very admirable, except the woman he has cast his eye on would rather shoot daggers from her eyes than stare lovingly into his eyes!  Some major miscommunications on that front, but he’s not given up on Britta yet!

These two may have a lot of spoken and unspoken elements to their dynamic, but it makes things better!  Trust me!  When you have that much going on, you can’t but be at the edge of your seat (maybe that was just me) waiting for the next crazy thing to throw a monkey wrench!  The supporting characters are cheering them on to take leaps of faith that they may or may not be ready for, but that’s the sign of good friendships!  While I’m not one to be drawn in by the “bad boy” stereotypes, I love that Cash is more than that!  Britta’s loyalty to her girlfriends is fierce and admirable, but I loved seeing some glimpses into how she is with her brothers too!  All the things in this book culminated into one fantastic story that will without a doubt be finding its way on my permanent shelves!  Bravo Dulcie!  You slayed it!

Once again, Dulcie has left me speechless. Every book she writes just gets better and better. And Cash and Britta have swooped in and taken residence in my heart! I literally couldn’t put this one down!!

I went into this story knowing it had miscommunication throughout the majority of it, which typically isn’t my fav, but I just trusted Dulcie. And yall, she didn’t let me down. In this case it was easy to see why it needed to be there and why things took longer to get settled. But trust me…once they are settled…ahh…it’s so worth it!!

Britta was a firecracker! I always love a FMC who is sassy and has some spunk. Plus she’s witty and curvy, which made her even better in my eyes! She battles with her attraction and feelings towards Cash and my heart truly went out to her. He brings out the snarky side of her and her quick one-liners had me in stitches at times.

Cash…man, oh man, was he dreamy! I loved how he felt a connection with Britta from the beginning and couldn’t place why. Anytime they were near each other, the sparks flew. He was protective, loving, flirty, and followed his heart. He loved how he made Britta feel beautiful and loved her curves. He never gives up on Britta and is determined to find out what it is that makes him so drawn to her.

Their journey to love is hard-earned and full of ups and downs, and you will be cheering them on from chapter one. And that moment when it all clicks…man, it’s good! My heart was so full and happy, I did a happy dance! It definitely gave all the feels!

And if you’ve read any Dulcie book, you know her kiss scenes are top notch, with all the heat and no spice! So buckle up, buttercup, and keep a fan handy!

Also, I will forever think of Cash and Britta when I see blackberries! Swoon city over here!!

What to Love:
💜Blackberries
💜The training session
💜Lunch date
💜Sassy heroine
💜Frenemies to lovers
💜The snarky banter
💜Curvy FMC
💜He takes care of her
💜The office reveal
💜Cake tasting
💜All the kissing!!!
💜Motorcycle ride
💜That Epilogue!!!

If you haven’t read Three Days to Forget, I definitely recommend reading it first, due to those characters being in this book quite a bit. But trust me, you will want to read it if you haven’t!

Y’all! Dulcie never fails to have me swooning from the very start! I mean come on, who doesn’t love a tatted tenderhearted drummer.

And sassy, stubborn, bratty Britta! I loved her quick witty comebacks.

The drum lesson! 😍 And the motorcycle ride that followed! 🫠

Honestly, the miscommunication didn’t bug me. It fit the story and Britta’s personality.
Overall, I enjoyed the heck out of this book and you should definitely check it out!

Most rewarding slow burn ever

I'm an addict to Dulcie Dameron's writing and even though I just wanted them to kiss and make out already she lured me in, with high swoon, and so much tension and two characters I love so much.

Seriously. Cash and Britta are just 😍😍😍

I LOVE the journey they went on and how it strengthened them and brought them together stronger than before.

BLACKBERRIES

I mean are you kidding me, that little woven in foreshadowing was 👌👌

All of the foreshadowing was beautiful.

And I just can't even.

Can I read it again for the first time???

Ugh so much swoon. So much romance. So much real life character struggles.

Love it sooo much

💋Makeouts, (he smacks her butt in a married couple way)
⚠️Grief from loss, side characters with hard life situations like a parent with an addiction, sprained ankle, firey romantic tension that leads to an epic slow burn

This book was brilliantly written. The plot was interesting, and I loved its development. Cash and Britta were perfectly written main characters, and I loved their connection and how the connection built between them following his accident, how the story ended was perfectly written.

Thank you for the ARC.

Cash & Britta

I’ve been wanting to read this one for forever! Partly because I love the cover, and the drum lesson picture is also 🔥🔥🔥 and the story line… And after having read Three Days to Forget I knew I had to read this one!

Blackberries… Can you imagine having a dream about kissing a girl, who smells like blackberries. And you keep having that dream over and over… and you have no clue why? Something must be wrong with you.

Imagine having a steamy kiss with a hot guy (who you mistook for your boyfriend)… oh, and the reason you kissed him is because you saw said boyfriend kissing someone else!?

Such a good read! I loved the annoyance to lovers trope. I mean, in real life the chances of running into that mystery make our partner again years later is a bit slim, but it’s fiction, so of course it can happen.

The banter is amazing, and I love how life, and their friends threw them together. There were times I wanted to shake Britta and tell her to just “ask him why he’s not acknowledging your make out session from the other year!?” but that would’ve messed up the story line.

Anyways, if you want a sweet romance, with amazing chemistry, and sizzle not spice, then this is the book for you!

Genre: romcom
Content: makeouts, loss of a parent (past), some light faith elements

Happy release day to A Make Out to Remember! I am such a big fan of Dulcie Dameron’s writing and I loved this one.

Cash and Britta have an AMAZING meet cute, in which they give Britta’s cheating boyfriend a little “show”. It’s FIRE. But Cash isn’t ready for a relationship so he walks away without getting Britta’s number.

Imagine Britta’s shock when she discovers that Cash is her bestie friends with her best friend’s new fiancé. But Cash seems to have forgotten Britta…and she is SALTY about it. Somehow I missed going in to this story that there’s a smidge of amnesia in it, but there is!

I really enjoyed seeing things play out. Okay and Y’ALL. THE DRUM LESSON SCENE 🫠🫠🫠 It was the best!

Cash was so patient with Britta’s hostility (that he couldn’t understand), and he was so sweet taking care of her when she needed (but didn’t want) it. Also, the way he took care of Kai! He’s a good one.

Favorite Quotes:
😂 Could be swooning, could be plotting his demise...guess we'll just have to wait and see.

🔥 "It means," he says, dropping his voice so low I can hardly hear it, "that Randy is a boy. And you..." With careful deliberation, he lets his eyes scale my body from my sparkly cowgirl boots to my tiny front accent braid. "You are the kind of woman who needs a man with enough experience to know to how to handle all those curves and sassy remarks."

❤️ "I think when we're praying for love to work out, God lets the people who are wrong for us fade out so the right person has room to step in."

😏 "Not man enough for a place like this, huh?"
I push the brochure down with my finger and level her with a hard stare.
"I'm very secure in my masculinity."
"Are you?" She raises one eyebrow, a sassy smile teasing at one corner of her mouth.
I lean toward her, some sort of invisible tether pulling taut between us.
"Do I need to prove something to you, Britta?" Letting my eyes sweep over her every feature, then finally settling on her mouth, I ask, "Do you want me to?"

💁‍♀️ "Promise to be a good student? No..." Dark eyes skate down my body and I suppress the urge to cross my arms. "Sass?"
"Oh, there will most definitely be sass."

🥁“Pretend like I'm not here and it's just you and drums." I drag my eyes heavenward and pray for strength. If this man thinks I'll be able to pretend he's invisible while he's touching me like this, he's not as smart as I thought.

Reader’s Notes:

– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone

– this is told from Britta & Cash’s points of view

-it is mentioned that when a character was young they moved in with a relative; a parent was deployed in the military at the time (though later was killed in the line of duty)

-there are mentions of characters dealing/having dealt with a parent who was dealing with addiction

-a character has a thyroid disorder

Review:

I didn’t expect the reason Cash didn’t remember Britta until it was mentioned, but I think it might have been on of the best ways to do it! I loved that Cash was so confused by Britta’s actions/reactions to him but was drawn to her at the same time. I loved that Britta also had difficulty staying mad at Cash as they got to know each other better between talking to each other and things their friends would say about them. I loved getting to know both of their friends better (I haven’t had a chance to read Liss & Alden’s story yet) and I’m hoping we get a story for the third woman in Britta’s friend group! I loved all the family/friend gatherings and forced working together Britta and Cash had to endure throughout the story and I can’t wait to go back to the first book while waiting for the rest of the series!

Summary:

Britta had a wonderful make out with a stranger a few years ago. But no matter how hard she looked, Britta just couldn’t find the guy again. That is until he shows up at her best friend’s wedding as the groom’s best man and best friend. Only, Cash doesn’t acknowledge their connection. At. All. Britta is not about to flirt with her heart again after her history of falling for not great guys, especially since Cash not mentioning their previous encounter is the very definition of what she should be avoiding. If only they weren’t both obligated to interact with each other for the sake of their friends at every single shared gathering…

Cash has no idea what he did to make Britta hate him. From what he can tell, nothing that happened between them when they first met could even be slightly construed badly towards her. It doesn’t help that their friends have no idea what is going on with Britta either. But despite her obvious dislike of him, Cash finds himself drawn to Britta in a way that he thought had long since buried with his last relationship. If only she’d let him close enough to figure out why that is…

Man, Britta and Cash were simply 🔥🔥🔥 in the best possible way!! (Let's keep in mind this is still a clean read, y'all, just with some really passionate kisses/make-out sessions, as the title points out.) With that being said, I was here for every second and page of this miscommunication novel, and I pretty much inhaled it within 24 hours (ish). Honestly, I was a bit intimidated by this trope and the length of this book, yet it was just what the story needed, and I could keep reading about Britta and Cash for a few more pages. 😉 Their chemistry is off the charts and Britta has good reason to act the way she did...but so does Cash and I loved how balanced that was. I loved the growth in their relationship from all the time they were forced to be together, and I love how supportive they ended up being of each other, (especially with Cash's project and heart to give back to the community and help troubled teens.)
This author does kisses and chemistry really well, and after the taste we get from the first chapters, you'll be looking forward to the next time it happens. Don't worry, it won't be a one-time off, and the payoff is definitely worth the wait.

As for side characters, I loved getting to know more of Cash's family with Jules and Elise and how attentive he was to them, as well as Britta's interactions with her brothers. Of course, one can't forget AJ, Liss, and Lyric, and it's so sweet to get to see what they're up to these days (the ups and the reality of married life, lol).

Seriously, this book delivers on the laughs, swoony moments thanks to a certain tatted hero, and even a little bit of faith. There's growth from both MCs, and it's the perfect sequel to Three Days To Forget. I can't wait for the next stories in this series! ~ 5 stars!

ARC REVIEW:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Britta Gracen’s last performance as a professional backup dancer was bound to be memorable. What she never expected was the occasion to be marked by a revenge make out with a midnight mystery man. A year later she is shocked to discover said man is closely tied into her friend group. Will the two be able to peacefully coexist, or will their past create an uncomfortable environment for everyone around them?

Dulcie Dameron’s latest novel, A Make Out To Remember, is book two in her West Coast Slopes Series. This book follows Britta and Cash. The pair was first introduced in Three Days to Forget About You as the main characters’ best friends. *Don’t worry if you have yet to read book one. Dameron wrote each book as stand alone novels that can be read individually or collectively.

This is a slow burn love story that will have you hooked from the prologue. Dameron builds palpable tension through fiesty banter and a one-sided rivalry. She does such a phenomenal job, Cash and Britta’s chemistry virtually leaps off the pages.

In addition to producing some of the best love stories on the market, Dameron is the queen of representation. Every book she writes features at least one prominent character with an illness or condition of some kind. This book brought attention to traumatic brain injury (memory loss) and thyroid disorder. While it can be difficult to spot both of these conditions with the bare eyes, they greatly impacted how Cash and Britta lived their lives.

Be sure to read this book for:
-reverse age gap
-enemies to more
-found family
-dual POVs

Special thanks to Dulcie Dameron for gifting me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

What if...

You had the best kiss of your life, it rocked your world, and then the one who gave it to you doesn't remember you? That's exactly what Britta spends two years trying to figure out when Cash shows back up in her life. Cash is super attracted to Britta, but she is downright frigid towards him and he cannot figure out why.

What impressed me in the story was how some of the preconceived notions I had going in to it turned out to be false: the reasons for the makeout in the first place and the reasons for the forgetting. The author also warned that if you struggle with miscommunication in a story (It's me. Hi. I'm the problem. It's me. 🙋‍♀️) that this might be a tough read. Britta also spends a lot of time being bratty, but she totally knows it and fights it in her mind constantly. She feels really hurt by Cash, but she struggles constantly with her attraction to him. This was where the dual POV was incredibly helpful. We know Cash is not the jerk he seems in Britta's mind. Each device was handled so well and necessary for the story to move along.

We will all want a drum set now? A motorcycle? Possibly. Cash and Britta have chemistry, even when they aren't on the same page. But once they are, all bets are off! 🔥

Expect kissing...and lots of it.

Even though my patience was tried throughout the extended miscommunication, the last quarter of the story made it 100% worth it. The author definitely gave us a story to remember!

4.5/5 stars for me!

SWOONIEST SLOW BURN!!!

Britta had the best kiss of her life with a total stranger...but when she sees him months later, he has completely forgotten her. The fact that she is still attracted to Cash is more than a little annoying as are her growing feelings for him every time they are together. But she refuses to give her heart to someone who has forgotten her before, no matter how handsome he is or how he makes her feel now.

What you'll love:
Annoyed to lovers (she hates him)
dual pov
athletic trainer MC
unforgettable meet-cute
slow burn
forced proximity
THE FLIRTING!!
the drum scene
motorcycle ride
blackberries
THAT KISS!!!!!!!!!

I CANNOT EVEN with this book!! There is so much I want to say but I also don't want to spoil anything so I will just say that I LOVED IT. Like completely and totally obsessed type of loved it. I have re-read the last ten chapters three times already. The tension and chemistry and swoon is absolutely perfect. Is there some miscommunication? And the romance is slowburn? Yes, but they are done well, fit the plot, AND the payout at the end (those last ten chapters....) is worth every.single.page. I am talking SWOON TO END ALL SWOON.

I loved Britta's spunk and sass and determination despite challenges in her life; I loved Cash's cinnamon roll personality and how supportive and protective he is of Britta, even when she doesn't like him. The push and pull of their personalities and their attraction to each other was so well done and kept me completely hooked into the story.

There were so many fun little details too - the blackberries, the training session, his new office...all of it woven together made this a story to remember!

10/10, this one is going on my favorite romcom shelf!

I received a complimentary copy but a positive review was not required.

A Make Out to Remember by Dulcie Dameron was much more than I could have hoped for. I was already excited to see more of the witty banter between Cash and Britta when they were first introduced in Three Days to Forget, and the banter between them truly did not disappoint. Add in the sizzling chemistry, and it’s *chef’s kiss.*
Cash is a sweet teddy bear who goes above and beyond for those he cares about. Watching him constantly crash and burn with Britta was a rough ride.
Britta is a tough nut to crack. Regarding relationships, her heart is protected behind a cement wall that a barbed wire fence has fortified. But she has reasons for that. She has been hurt in the past, including by Cash…but don’t hold that against him! He didn’t know!
Join along on the journey to see how they find their way to a beautiful HEA. I loved the addition of the representation of hypothyroidism. Exciting news for those who cringe at the third act breakups…there isn’t one! That could be because they don’t get together until well into the third act, but let’s ignore that.

Trigger Warning- There are references to both substance abuse and infidelity, but this feeds into history and is not done by the main characters.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

Y’all Dulcie Dameron did it again! If the “miscommunication” trope is your favorite, this is the book for you! Usually I’m not the biggest fan of it but this story definitely changed my mind! In this book we follow Britta, a professional dancer in her mid twenties. After she realized that the industry was forcing her into an early retirement she decided to pursue interior design full time. At her last performance she runs into a man who may very well be the man of her dreams, little did she know, that night was the last time she’d see him until a year later where he was the best man at her best friend wedding and then he doesn’t even remember her or the dreamy kiss! I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this story. I LOVED the body representation and don’t even get me started on cash! I just loved him and I loved how he love Britta even when she wasn’t the nicest to him. He was an all around great person and you saw that in his actions throughout the book. I also appreciated the faith elements, they were perfect and fit well into the story. Britta was very relatable and was a strong fmc, which I love to see in my romance books. I’d read anything this author. I can’t wait for what’s next!

🩷🛹My Thoughts🛹🩷
I absolutely adored this book!! The meet cute at the beginning was so cute, funny, awkward, and had me rooting for Cash the whole book! Skip to two years later when they meet again but Cash seems to have forgotten all about Britta. Despite Britta being really hurt over Cash not seeming to remember her and their steamy make out session, their chemistry is just undeniable.

This book had me sucked in from the beginning with their meet cute all the way to the end of the book! There are so many parts and scenes I loved in this book! I loved their banter it was hilarious at times and at other times it was sizzling! I absolutely loved the scene where he was teaching her how to play the drums but I think my favorite was the tattoo I was tearing up at that scene! Then we can’t forget the faith elements that came in at the end of the book that I just loved also.

I absolutely was tearing up at the ending on chapter 21 the way Cash’s sister was just there for him and explaining what could be going on with Britta was just so heartwarming! I just love Dulcie Dameron’s writing and can’t wait for the next book in the West Coast Slopes series!!

🩷🛹Thank you so much Dulcie Dameron for sending me an E-book to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I can't get enough of Dulcie Dameron's writing because her romances are so sweet!

I haven't read a miscommunication trope romance in a long time and it's usually because I don't like that trope very much. BUT A Make Out to Remember was such a sweet read and the time and way everything was resolved was so perfect. Cash and Britta's meet cute was everything you can ask for with the passion and revenge!

Despite Britta's obvious annoyance with Cash for forgetting about her and their make out session, their chemistry was undeniable (especially that drum scene). I adored the way they bickered with one another, but also how the tension and interest is clearly there. What I love most about Dulcie Dameron's book is the faith element, especially how it was weaved into this story. Cash is such a cinnamon role MC, making it super easy to like him. He has such love for his family- sister, nieces, and friends. Britta is funny and peppy. It was so fun reading her thoughts when it came to Cash.

Talk about a title that hooks you!!!

It starts off with a banger of a first meeting. It’s so cute and hot.

Cash, my man, you are patient and understanding. So many times I just wanted to hug you.

Britta I know your pride was hurt, but can’t you see Cash is such a sweet and sincere guy??

These two and their one step forward, three steps back had me gripped. Britta is so hurt and angry that Cash doesn’t remember her, and Cash has no clue why he’s always getting the cold shoulder and an icy barb every time he’s around Britta. Don’t worry, Cash begins to melt the ice around Britta’s heart and those moments are so swoony.

So many sweet moments with his niece, flirty moments with Britta, and fun times with A.J. and Felicity.

Some of my faves:
🛹Blackberries
🔥Training session
🩼He takes care of her
🥁Drum lesson
🏍️It’s you!

I love how Dulcie writes her characters. They’re unique, flirty, and have some of THE best chemistry!
Yes, there’s a lot of miscommunication, but it leads to the yummiest and sweetest resolution with so much goodness packed in between.

Thank you to Dulcie Dameron for the copy. All opinions are my own.

I have been looking forward to reading this book ever since I finished “3 Days to Forget” (HIGHLY recommend as well!) Dulcie did not disappoint!

This was a book that I had a hard time putting down! I wanted to know what happened! There is amazing chemistry between the characters and the perfect amount of swoon/tension for a closed-door romance!

If you are not a fan of miscommunication, this may not be the book for you, but honestly, I don’t even know if I would consider it miscommunication. It was so well written and the characters still came together beautifully!

Make sure you give this book a read or add to you TBR!!

Thank you to Dulcie for sending me a copy of A Makeout to Remember! This is my honest opinion and all words are my own.

Cash & Britta!!!🩰🏍🥁🔥💙

I usually HATE miscommunication trope....but.......this sexond chance story is so good!!!

The miscommunication trope in this book is not just because we have people refusing to talk because of immaturity. Cash and Britta both have some baggage to work through that makes them unwilling /unable to put themselves out there at first and they end up unintentionally hurting each other over and over again.

However, what I loved about this story is that even though the miscommunication/misunderstanding is the majority of the book, Cash and Britta apologize for being snarky/grumpy with each other, learn to grow with each other while still falling for each other.

Even if miscommunication isn't your favorite, this story was great!

I'm not usually a fan of misunderstanding tropes, and it did drag a bit longer than i would've liked, but man was the pay off good! I read the part where they cleared the air like 5 times after I finished the book. It was just so good. And I described one of the first scenes between Britta and Cash at the wedding to a friend and my friend couldn't believe I read about this in a book. She said I acted as though I'd witnessed it. But that's how it feels in this book!! The blackberry thing paid off so well and their slow-burn made the last 4 chapters a total dream and feel so earned. I didn't want it to end! I needed more of their dating interactions!
