This book describes the history of the indigenous Adnyamathanha people of the northern Flinders Ranges area of South Australia, with particular emphasis on their names and uses for the various plants of the region.
An informative book that dips its toes into the vast pool of knowledge the Adnyamathanha people hold on the topic of native plants. It's interesting to find out what these plants that I have seen throughout my life were and still are used for. There were a few pieces of information in this book that I wasn't previously unaware of and was surprised to learn. Overall, I love that this important knowledge hasn't been lost over these thousands of years and is still being shared today.
