Cian’s been denying the pull toward the moon for decades, and as soon as the Phoenicians designed and built a prototype fit for spaceflight, they followed the ship Cian spotted. But as soon as they land on the moon, they discover the Disciples of the Anunnaki have created a new kind of monster. He has his hands full and has to save a bunch of stupid humans before he can woo his mate, who is oblivious about him.
Back on Earth, Phoenix lay at the bottom of the Earth’s global ocean, which covers ninety-nine percent of the Earth’s surface. Eryn, Ivan, and Cian had successfully wrapped the titanium and plexiglass city with a protective waterproof barrier. Some waters have receded around the highest mountains where animals have found refuge. All these areas were declared protected and sacred to allow the surviving fauna and flora to flourish on their own and rehabilitate without the interference or hindrance of man so that nature may repair Earth’s fragile ecosystem. But all is not as it seems. Eryn brings a stranger on board who might or might not be a friend.
Cian’s is the second book written by Kashel Char and Book Three in a planned post-apocalyptic sci-fi fantasy series featuring gifted otherworldly paranormal beings falling in love while saving the last of mankind. This story has explicit and graphic depictions of a quadruple amputee prisoner, off-the-page mention of non-consensual sexual acts, cannibalism, and imprisonment. It is unsuitable for young and sensitive readers or anyone offended by gay sex.

I am a Canadian speculative fiction author, writing in the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal. My writing explores who we are, where we come from, and where we are going as a human race on Earth. I enjoy weaving and exploring questions and subjects about our history and origin by creating new, exciting worlds and characters. My stories are unpredictable, twisted with a dash of humor, and centered on gay characters. Cian's Song: We Are Coming Home" is a genre-blending sci-fi and fantasy novel set in the distant future, thrilling addition to the New Beginnings. This book takes readers on an exhilarating journey into a post-apocalyptic world filled with supernatural beings and futuristic technology.
In this book, you'll find love stories between men, science fiction, time travel, cool technology, vampires, and encounters with mysterious beings. There's also a mission to evacuate people from the moon, which adds a lot of action and excitement.
Readers can expect a captivating mix of sci-fi fantasy, time travel, cyborgs, vampires. The story delves into Operation Moon Evacuation, making it a fast-paced and action-packed read. The story follows Cian, who has long denied a mysterious pull towards the moon. Cian faces the challenge of saving humanity while also trying to win the affection of his oblivious mate. Cian's determination to reunite with his mate on the moon leads him to a shocking discovery that propels the story forward.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, a submerged city becomes a symbol of hope and environmental conservation. The introduction of a stranger adds an element of mystery and intrigue to the narrative. The inclusion of M/M pairings adds depth and diversity to the character relationships, making the story even more engaging.
This book is a thrilling and emotionally charged addition to the series that will keep readers hooked until the very end. Author has crafted an enthralling adventure that will leave readers eagerly awaiting the next installment in this intriguing series.
This book had multiple POVs with multiple timelines. I was laughing, I was disturbed, I was intrigued, I was mad, I was happy... this book brought out all my emotions. There was a line about gray crayons that had me giggling all the way across the parking lot and into a store.
Cian is still a cocky annoying boy/man but he's finally made it to the moon. Will he find his mate? You'll have to read or listen to the book to find out.
Kudos to Jonathan Waters!!! He did an amazing job narrating this book/series.
Thank you Kashel Char for the hours of enjoyable entertainment, you are truly one of a kind.
What's up next??? Now we have to wait for the release of According to Ish, Ishtar and Peter's story.
First off I need to say how excited I was to see that Jaundre and Drew are back!! The overarching storyline comes to fruition as we find out the who, what, and why of everything that has happened since even before the first book. Cian knew his mate was on the moon and was determined to find a way up there. What he finds is worse than anything he could have imagined. To win his mates heart and save the humans, Cian, with the help of his brothers and friends, must face many obstacles to have a hope of succeeding. I was really surprised by several things that happened during the book, but no spoilers here. The plot really sucked me in and had me laughing, crying, shocked, and oh so happy with how it ended. There still seem to be a few unanswered questions though. So to paraphrase Ricky Ricardo, "Ish, you have some explaining to do!"
This book really ties up so many different parts of the story introduced in New Beginnings and Eryn King of the Brawl - it was SO clever! I have never been so torn between rushing to find out more and yet wanting to take longer to really savour the story.
I really liked Eryn King of the Brawl but I loved this more - it was great to experience Cian (and Ivan and Eryn too) as more mature adults than they were in the last instalment. I really loved seeing more of Cian as a character and also getting to see him finally get his own happily ever after (or at least for now, Kashel Char never really truly makes me feel safe about any of these couples - I’m forever concerned that they might die after the last book!!)
I loved all of the detail of Greyrack and the movement of the story away from Phoenix in this book. Char’s imagination is amazing, the thought process that must go into this world building is amazing - how science could’ve developed to preserve life in a different manner to that of Phoenix, the Zelk - all fascinating! However, I was devastated that Leo had to die, I really loved him as a character and I had real hope that he might make it to Phoenix and their advanced medical care - i had all the ugly tears, even though it was written really quite beautifully to memorialise him as a hero.
And of course, as in every book I adored Lassiter and all of the completely random, yet fascinating and often quite funny anecdotes that come with every chapter!
An absolutely amazing listen and performed brilliantly by the narrator again.

DNF. I really wanted to stick this out because the story seemed interesting. However, only every 5th chapter was actually connected to Cian, his mate or the actual story - 4 out of every 5 chapters were just world-building, following characters that are not actually involved in the currently ongoing storyline, time-jumps to give more exposition to characters that don't really matter and all in all just too much going on without giving the story and characters that were actually promised in this book. Very frustrating.
The story masterfully blends intense themes of survival, love, and the resilience of nature. Though rich in imagination and vivid world-building, it delves into mature content that might not be suitable for all readers. A compelling read for those who appreciate a darker, more complex narrative in their sci-fi fantasies
Earth has become a giant water bowl, and Phoenix - the last city of the surviving human civilization - is resting safely at the bottom of the vast ocean in a cocoon created by the song of Sian, Erin and Ivan. The three of them, despite appearing mostly humanoid, are much more than meets the eye. In their DNA are interwoven millennium of knowledge of long forgotten civilizations and Pantheon of Gods. The whole world building of the book is a fascinating mix of post apocalyptic, paranormal, sci fi fantasy elements with a healthy dose of the author's wild imagination. Cian is finally able to follow the pull of his heart and find his mate. I have always been partial to this main character and his loneliness was deeply touching to me. But this book is his song and I am happy for him. The chapters follow a pattern of time travelling which was a little bit anticlimactic to my own reading preferences and I couldn't fully sink into the right mind space and enjoy the experience. The plot is heavily action packed and follows more than one story thread and more than one character. It also taps in the deepest dark recesses of the human mind and how far people can sink in order to guarantee their own survival and keep the power to themselves. I am referring here to the Disciples of Annunaki on the Moon and the gruesome picture Cian found when he finally reached it. The search for his mate turned into a full blown rescue operation and a lot more secrets revealed. If you're looking for unusual sci fi heavy on the plot and less on the smut, that's a good choice. The books however have to be read in order because they are closely interconnected and the main characters are more than cameos when they pop into the different stories.
Extremely entertaining. Love all the characters. The best new world I've read in a long time. Love the series plus steamy bonus chapters about Juandre and Andrew. It's difficult to summarize because so much happens and I don't want to spoil the surprises. Whatever you think this is, is it not it? I laughed, I cried and I rode this out to the end. Couldn't stop reading, but forced myself to sleep. It took me three days and I see a massive book slump coming because what will I read now? There are some heavy dark and raw scenes and then suddenly you are swept up in a fighting scene with Cian on the outside of the spaceship with the robots. Just whoa! I loved it! Then I laughed again so hard when Ish and Peter were drunk and almost had an accident while singing. I will definitely get the hardcover and read this again. It's intelligent and good writing with lots of hot MM scenes. Thank you for my review copy, I freely gave my honest review.
This story sounded interesting, with an immersive world, and of course I love mm romance. Unfortunately I couldn't get into it. This is my first book by this author and though it isn't the first in this series, I didn't realize it wasn't a standalone. The characters were interesting and I like the setting. But after almost two hours I decided to stop listening. I would need to start at the beginning of the series to properly appreciate and enjoy this.
I listened to this audiobook narrated by Jonathan Waters. He is a new-to-me narrator and I thought he did a wonderful job bringing this book to life. I loved the different voices he gave to the characters. I hope to hear more of his work.
5 Stars 5 Flaming Hot Flames 5 Originality 5 Page turner 5 Narration Gods I'm addicted to this series! Thank you author Kashel Char and narrator Jonathan Waters for taking me on this adventure through the end of the world and back. Next up, please! Keep an open mind and experience this trilogy like no other!
Cian's Song (New Beginnings) Narrated by Johnathan Waters
Another story that drew me in from the first page. I couldn't put this book down. My family knew to leave Mama alone lol. The way Kashel gave us a view of this post-apocalyptic world full of paranormal beings was fantastic. It hit all my buttons, This author draws me into this story on the first page, Which is weird cause I don't read sci-fi books. Cian is drawn strongly to the moon which Cian has fought with all his being to ignore. This story leads you through the finding of his mate along with trying to get his mate to see and accept him. Cian is determined to find his mate which throws him into a battle that Cian needs to win to have their happy ever after.
I was also so excited and happy to see Jaundre and Drew again. I wanted so much more of their story, so seeing them again was wonderful. I know I will be reading anything Kashel releases in the future.
This whole series has been wonderful and this third volume is no exception. I loved the characters and the writing keeps you on your toes with surprises and intellectual challenges. You don't want people to give you spoilers on these because figuring things out and asking questions is half the fun.
This is a hot steamy story that keeps you hooked. I was very impressed with the world the author has made. Follow as the characters live in a world surviving on Antarctica making a griity tale.Relationship are fantastic bounding each other together. Conner was great character. With Sci fi the prominent genre there is romance and fantasy as well. Not really my kind of story but excellently written.

Thank you for my review copy. Five Full Stars! This trip to the moon turned out to be so much more and further back in time than I expected. I was impressed by how the author brought all the loose ends together giving me an ending that felt well-thought-through and complete. I'm so in love with these characters. I was glad to hear Ish is getting a book, he is one interesting character. The sex scenes were out of this world hot and flowed perfectly with the storyline. You have to read this series. It gets better and better with every book. I couldn't flip fast enough from one chapter to the next. Well Done and Thank you to the Author.
It was entertaining and enjoyable. I loved the twists and turns and this book was the apex of apexes. I loved all the characters and was so glad how it turned out. This was written intelligently, and I can’t wait to read more about Ish. The Lasitor was hilarious, and I did snort a few coffees through my nose between chapters. I could not wait for the audiobook I just had to know what happened with Cian and got so much more.
I read the original, leaving the same review here. 5 Stars 5 Flaming Hot Flames 5 Originality 5 Page turner 5 Narration Gods I'm addicted to this series! Oh, this keeps getting better and better. I was shocked and bawled over by the surprises. Excellent world-building. Tons of hot in sac male on male scenes and did I say hot? I loved it! You have to read this, you are missing out if you skip over this series. It's totally original and so worth it!
