I couldn’t put this book down! I have a specific chapter that I read more than once, and still get new insights every time I read it. Katy Valentine’s chapter, A New Heaven and a New Earth, explores how energy healing, while also being a progressive follower of Jesus, complements each other to transform the landscape of pain and suffering we experience in daily life. I come from a heavily fear-based Evangelical Christian background and have been re-learning the message and love of Jesus over the past 5 years or so. Other books written by Sarah Bessey and Randy Woodley strongly complement Katy Valentine’s idea of a New Earth, creating “shalom” on the Earth that is. Katy addresses the fear of the book of Revelation used to scare many Christians into end times prophecies and fear. Her expertise as a New Testament Scholar easily weaves historical context into how energy healing complements the healing Jesus brings, rather than excludes the healing. I could connect with many of the individual stories that Katy talks about and “see” myself in each and every one of those people. My final thoughts are that metaphysical practices easily weave into the message of abundance that Jesus brings when we can remove the fear-based lens. Let yourself fully immerse in the message of Soul Codes. You won’t regret it!

Soul Codes is a lovely contemplation of spirit, abundance, and nourishment. Also, it puts into words the perspective and promise of God within. Dr. Valentine gives permission to embrace every iteration of God and goodness as it touches our hearts.
We For me, she answers many long, amorphous questions I’ve waded through over the years and provides new direction and guidance for my own life’s journey. The concept of abundance and love is one i struggled with in my church’s biblical leanings and corruption. I’m looking back at my life with new gratitude. My life’s choices weren’t easy, but the rewards have been immeasurable. Dr. Valentine’s work here is ushering me through my own reformation and reconciliation with humanity and spirit. I am grateful for this new look at our ancient and timeless connectedness through multiple perspectives and traditions, practices, and belief systems. The divine feminine, Christo-expansive approach to our life and calling forges a renewed set of loving guidelines for our souls work.
I feel like I’ve been given the permission to keep finding God in new places, new stories, new energies. And yes! They light me up!

Finding My Tribe

Soul Codes weren’t new to me. The ways they were used to relate them to stories from today and back to older empires opened my mind and heart. I enjoyed reading a book that spoke the author’s truth and allowed you to pull what resonates and let go of what doesn’t serve you at this time.
