Wild- EPISODE 6 is the conclusion in the Forever Wild serial.
All roads led Valerie and Wes back to the Vegas desert where they first met.
Valerie is ready to do whatever it takes to get back her husband, even if it means getting help from an old friend and signing confidentiality contracts.
But nothing has come easy for Valerie and Wes in their wild relationship and when they're hit with some extra surprises they have to figure out if one wild night will lead to being Forever Wild.
Magan Vernon has been living off of reader tears since she wrote her first short story in 2004. She now spends her time killing off fictional characters, pretending to plot while she really just watches Netflix, and she tries to do this all while her two young children run amok around her Texas ranch.
You can stalk or...er...find her online at all of these fun and happy places.
I was so freaking excited to read this novella because of where the last novella left off from! The ending of the last novella left me with my mouth hanging open and I was desperate for this one! I have to be honest and say that this novella went in a pretty different direction to what I was expecting! I mean, some things happened that I wanted too, but some of I wasn't expecting! I did enjoy the plot though and I liked that the author didn't write what I expected! The plot was fast-paced and it had me hooked! I also kept grinning like an idiot at the plot lol! There were just some really cute scenes and it was like a game of cat and mouse for Wes and Valerie to find each other again lol! There were also a few twists and turns as well! Because I knew that this novella was the last one of the series, I took my time reading it so that I didn't have to say goodbye to Wes and Valerie lol! I love them so much as a couple! The main characters were again amazing! Valerie was again the main female character and in this novella she was desperate to find Wes! She then had to prove to Wes that he was the one she really wanted a relationship with! Valerie was quite spunky in this novella and I could see just how determined she was to find Wes and make things right! I just loved her! I loved her personality and she was quite vulnerable in this novella, which was different to the way Valerie acted in the other novellas! Wes was again the main male character and again he was so hot! I just loved Wes in this novella! He was so amazing and I loved getting to see how he saw Valerie through his eyes! I could see that he had really strong feelings for Valerie and I could see that he would do anything for her to make her happy! Wes put his foot down in this novella and he stood up to the one person who threatened his relationship with Valarie, which was kick-ass and made me want to grab Wes in a big squishy hug lol! I loved that this novella was written from both Valerie and Wes' point of views! This series has had the novellas written from either of their point of views, but this novella was written from both of their point of views! The ending of this novella summed up this series perfectly! It did still leave it open though, so I'm hoping maybe the author will write another novella series for Wes and Valerie or maybe write them a full length book or something to show them maybe so many years down the line or life straight after where this novella stopped! The cover for this novella is so hot! Like, SO hot! I freaking love it and I love how it suits the other covers in the series perfectly! Big thank you to Magan for a copy of Wild!
The last installment is FINALLY out on Amazon NOW!!! WOO HOO!!! I can now read the WHOLE series (because I couldn't start it until I got all the parts!!!)
Buona lettura guys!
The story of Valerie and Wes comes full circle when Wes runs back to Vegas, and Valerie sets off on her own to find him.
Broken hearted and crushed by guilt, Wes is gone. He's not answering her calls or texts, and Valerie has few clues about where he might be, but she'll scour the city's seediest streets if that's what it takes to find the best thing that ever happened to her.
This book was a bit of a departure from the others, and while in some ways it makes sense to go back to the beginning, it took me out of the element of the relationship I'd enjoyed so much.
Their story began in Vegas, complete with a male revue, but the following books took us to Chicago, to every day life and work and trying to make a go of their relationship. In a sense, it quickly redeemed Wes in my eyes. He went from a gold-digging stripper to a good-hearted man once he was away from the city without a soul, and it made Valerie's falling for him all the more believable.
But in Wild, that easy comfort of living day-to-day life with each other flies out the window and is replaced by the seediness of a strange "modeling" gig that even manages to ensnare Valerie. Whereas Valerie has previously been strong-minded and independent, it was oddly out of character for her to agree to the gig, no questions asked. The Valerie I know wouldn't have simply changed into skimpy lingerie and allowed herself to be driven out into the desert.
Fortunately, they return to Chicago before it all ends, but even that didn't really sit right with me. I mean, they find out
I don't know. The series overall is okay, but too many things about this last book just lost me, and I found myself skimming to the end.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Well guys, we've come full circle. In the 6th and final installment of the Forever Wild series, Val is back in Vegas in an attempt to find Wes and bring him back home where he belongs. The problem is where does she start? He's not answering phone calls or texts and she has no clue where to begin. We run into some of our old friends from the first episode, like Brick from the shady apartment complex where Wes was staying, and Cal, who ran the abs competition where Val first met Wes.
Wes is back to being Wild Wes, the stripper. He knows he left like a coward instead of trying to get Val back, but he wouldn't trade the time he had with her for anything in the world. Brick tries to tell him to man up and answer Val's calls, he's not going to let him give up the good thing he had going with her. When Cal offers him a modeling gig too good to pass up, Wes knows it's just what he needs to get back on his feet and get Val back, but there's no telling what it'll involve.
Val also has a meeting with Cal that Abbi has set up, and he has a plan to help get them back together - he's setting her up as a model at the same party. With confidentiality waivers, Val is worried about what kind of party it is, but she'll do anything if it means getting Wes back.
With alternating POVs, we get inside both Wes and Val's heads, and I couldn't be happier with the way this story turned out. It is one WILD story, with sex parties, car breakdowns in the desert, heart-melting and swoon-worthy moments, pissed off ex-employees, crooked businessmen, another wedding, and more sweet surprises, it truly is the perfect ending to a great series. Thanks, Magan, for your awesome talent and great stories, and I'm looking forward to anything and everything you put out in the future.
This final installment in the Wild series I found wasn't as well written as the others. I can't put my finger on what exactly it was that makes me think that, there were a few more spelling and grammatical errors in this one than I noticed with the others, maybe it was rushed? There were a few cringe-worthy moments in the dialogue that I picked up on that further enforced my conclusion that this last book had a different feel to it than the others, maybe more of an immature vibe than the others. It was clear right the way through the series that Valerie had body issues and sometimes struggled with self-confidence, this didn't bother me at all because as we all know, us women always have issues with one part of our body or other. I can see how it would become annoying if it was repeatedly played on in a book but I didn't think that was the case until this last book. I actually found myself rolling my eyes at one point. That being said I enjoyed the ending, it was sweet and gave me the happily ever after I needed. I do wish that Max had been dealt with in a more vengeful way, he deserved to be brought down to earth.
This one was oddly my least favorite. I devoured the rest of the series, in two sittings, but by the end, I was left disappointed. I mean, don't get me wrong, the ending itself is fine. But this particular book felt as though the author, whom I adore, was trying to tie up too many loose ends in a quick fashion. Particularly the last 15% of the book felt rushed. Without giving anything away, I just couldn't get into the last minutes odd ball party and the purpose or the "client". I also just didnt understand the flip flop nature of the characters in some scenes. I enjoyed this series, but was a little let down.
This is the final instalment of vAl and Wes's story.
Our loved up couple have come to realise their Feeling for one another, but a misunderstand has them separated.
val is now on a mission to get her man back, and she does it in the most interesting way. This part of the story is a different direction to the other books, but it was also as enjoyable.
I was very happy with the conclusion to their journey and left feeling very satisfied.
It would definitely be even more enjoyable to be able to read each instalment as a whole.
Finally Val gets her crap together. Wes acts a bit of a wimp and we get a decent ending.
I was a little let down and thought they ending could have been a bit more. Max and Wes finally come to an agreement, Mr and Mrs. Wild have their fun, and we get to see quite a few characters from the other parts present All in all it was a fun quick read.
Great story and plot, well written and had great characters that you could relate to. Overall I think this was a good serial (all 6 books) and I completely enjoyed the Wilder-Cockrell experience.
