OMG While I absolutely loved Scarlett and Mace I can say that I loved more Trip and Teeny!!This book had it all for me!It was sexy, romantic,funny but it has also drama.There are times I was really happy and other times that I was pissed or I want to cry!!Teeny and Trip are so imperfectly perfect for each other!I loved them!!The title is so perfect for this book!!It matches with the story!! Teeny and Trip made some mistakes but I loved that about them!This is what makes the book so real and so good!!

If you thought Mace was sexy wait until you meet Trip!He is so damn hot!!He is the ultimate bad boy with tattoo!!He doesn't sleep with the shame woman for more than one time!

description

Until the night who is drunk and have sex with Teeny.He doesn't know that his life will change after this night..Teeny is pregnant and everything changes!!

What will happen??Is Trip ready to become dad??

You must read it to see ;))

I loved Teeny :)) She is so indepedent!!She had a rough life and doesn’t expect anything to be handed to her.She’s brave and bold and never afraid to let Trip know how it is.

I loved how their relationship grow and turn into more!!As much as they argued and fought,I love them as a couple.They put all their issues aside in the end and focused on what's more important!

"For shit's sake Teeny I'm in fucking love with you."

"My problem is there because you're here.I can't see you and not get hard.Deal with it."
(This quote make me love Trip so much <333 )

If you are looking for a wild ride full of hotness,happiness and tension this is for you!!!

My thoughts: So first, let’s start with Trip…

Trip, is Mace’s younger brother and Scar’s employee. He’s tattooed, he’s pierced, and is the ultimate playboy of one night stands.

Only… what’s a guy to do when one night turns into forever?

Despite his no strings attached sex preference, Trip has a strong attraction for Teeny, his Boss’s best friend, but fights it off until that fateful encounter.

BUT NOW, all bets are off after learning that Teeny is pregnant with child...HIS CHILD. It's now time for him to get himself together, take responsibility, and admit to the fact that he truly does have feelings for Teeny.

description

So now, Teeny…

Teeny has always been used to being the strong one. She basically raised herself since she was 16 and really only has Scar as support. She has always harbored a crush on Trip but after their one night stand, she thinks that he not only doesn’t love her and that she’ll have to raise this child on her own.

A lot of push and pull then ensues but will these two succumb to their differences and give into what’s in front of them? Will they ever have their HEA? Or, will their fears and setbacks get in the way?

description

My verdict: Conflicted Love was a decent read. I liked it a lot but in all honesty I liked Tattered Love a bit more. To me, the first installment just held more of a deep and emotional punch for me and wasn’t all over the place due to Teeny’s issues and preggo outbursts.

Kinda gave me whiplash at times! lol

But over all, despite my condescending comments, Tattered Love was an enjoyable read where I think that most readers will take pleasure in. I just wish that I could have connected to it more on a sentimental note is all.

I NOW CAN'T WAIT for Haven (Mace and Trip's sis) and Jude (Mace's bestie; single father of two) story!! Ooh!! It's gonna be good!! Especially with that epic introduction that Tattered Love gave us!! Jude's sure got his work cut out for him now that the secret's out of the bag and with two big overprotective brothers wanting his blood!! ;)

Oh Lord I think this book was better than the first installment! Teeny, I loved that girl, "no, Trip. No I'm not sure at all. I haven't had needles jammed into my arms, pi**d on sticks and spent most of my days for the last few weeks throwing up for sh**s and giggles," she snapped at me." It was interesting being in the boy's head, "I mean, it was a sh***y way to find out, and it was kind of sprung on me. What was I supposed to do? Skip around in circles smiling and handing out candy canes while rainbows came out of my a**?" Trip never needs to worry about Teeny not taking care of herself, "you put me on my a**. How am I the one making a scene?" I growled as I stumbled to my feet, the pain slowing to a deep throb. "Damn it, Teen. You near broke my nose and I'm pretty effin' certain my balls are permanently damaged." He's really a caveman ladies, "don't push me, Princess. I'm clear out of give-a-effs and my di**'s so hard it could hammer nails. Move that sweet a** before I bend it over and eff it into oblivion," I growled in her ear driving the point home with a quick swat to her a**." I mean Trip knows how to pacify his woman just to make her happy, "I'm not calling you fat, Princess. You get to carry the baby around all the time. I want to carry your things so I don't feel left out." I mean the boy has a damn ego the size of a football field, "my seed is strong, woman. It makes big healthy boys. With large penises." Yeah I'm so ready for the next book in this series.

***3 Stars***

This was an okay, quick and steamy read that gets an extra star for Trip's hilarious rambling freak out during the delivery scene.

I would have liked this more if Trip and Teeny would've communicated more instead of constantly bickering and skirting around how they felt. And Teeny's frequent shouting, mood swings and bitchy attitude grated on my nerves after a while. However, I did appreciate all of the hot make up sex.

Conflicted Love ****Revised Review****

3 Baby Daddy Stars * * * plus one more for the Author *

Sometimes I will read something, get a general impression and want to share that with all of you. If I am smart, I usually give myself a little time to see what type of impact the story has on me; then share my thoughts and feelings.

With this book, I really didn't give enough time to see where it would take me; and because of that, I am revising my review.
I was most taken by Trip in this book and since he was the main reason for my connection, I gave him my 3 baby daddy stars. But after finishing my review, other thoughts from Conflicted Love filtered into my head. Thoughts about what the author had done to make me interested in these characters; ways she had them think and then act... so since I couldn't get clear of these moments... I had to realize I sold this book short. Thus the revised review. What follows below is the original review with the additional thoughts about the author and writing.

Because I always promise you an honest review... and now you really have one.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the end of Tattered Love, we saw Mace and Scar working on their HEA... but were left with the reveal of what was to happen next for Trip and Teeny.
Their one night of drunken hot steamy can't get enough sex... left a little surprise... and Teeny is trying to figure out what to do about it. In the worst way to learn you are a baby daddy, Trip stumbles onto the knowledge that the guy he wants to take to task for doing this to Teeny .... is him.
Now Trip doesn't handle hearing this news in the best of ways... saying everything a gal does not want to hear... as he really was taken by surprise. And Teeny is just lost... she has had the hots for Trip and has always liked him... but because of her life experience, she is afraid she will never measure up as a mom or girlfriend. She looks at Trip as the man-whore she knows and does not see any kind of future with him.
This book had its' moments. Trip became a beloved figure for me. When he realized all that was happening and his overwhelming desire to be the dad he always wanted... he stepped up and never stopped. He was sincere, caring and willing to do whatever it took to make Teeny comfortable and happy.
And brother..... it took a lot.
Teeny was a handful... I really have to say... didn't really dig her. When you have a guy like Trip, falling all over himself, showing how willing he is to do whatever for you... then why play all kinds of games?
My three stars all go to Trip and his family. They were there to support him and all the love they gave the two was perfect.
***I would like to add the extra star for the writing. This author has flair, humor and a way to make these situations real. Although I was not a huge fan of Teeny, I understood why she first felt the way she did regarding motherhood and relationships. We were able to see these two grow as people through their POV’s and that is always a delight for me. She brought a vision and voice to these characters which rang true and so many times when reading… it can just falls short. I do like her voice and hope to see what happens next from her.
I don't know if another book will be happening for this troop... it ended on a positive note. If you read Tattered Love, then you really should read this. It is worth the effort to see the growth in Trip, his brother Mace and Scar.
SIGH....
Ahhh Trip...
 photo highfivingamillionangels_zps7c0142de.gif
He had HUGE shoes to fill, I fell hook line and sinker for his older Brother Mace in the first book!
He didn't disappoint me in this book...
Without giving too much away obviously we have all read the first book right? RIGHT?!
For those who haven't... seriously? go read that awesome shit right now and then come back!
Ok so for those who have we all know the ending to the last book was Trip finding out Teeny was pregnant and he was the baby daddy..
Well this is their story.
They do have a relationship before the baby, it's just kinda weird.. but Teeny doesn't want his help, now just cos he's knocked her up.
However Trip is determined to be part of the baby's life..
and hey if it mean he can sleep with Teeny along the way? why the hell not!!
But we all know that SEX is NEVER just sex!
This is about them growing, not only up but also growing as people. Learning to become a "team" learning that it's ok to need other people and Ok to ask for help.
We still have Scar and Mace turn up the whole way through! Including a wedding **clapping** and more of Scar and Mace being outrageously funny when having sex..
Picture a pool.. nosy neighbours... a pool lounge chair and being busted...
It has Lola's signature all over it!
Funny one liners..
Dirty talk...
Awesome sex scenes...
Sweet scenes...
swooning scenes...
heartbreaking scenes
and of course a bomb being dropped at the end! NO NO NO It is NOT a cliffhanger!! but it will make an interesting start to the next book that's for sure!
Mace and Scar are still my fav couple of all the crazy kids in these books!
Maybe it will change next book... maybe not... who know's?
I have had the honor of being a BETA reader for this book! I cannot wait to post a review, you are all going to LOVE Trip!!
**FULL REVIEW**
“Say again?”
Trip and Teeny take you on one hell of a ride in Conflicted Love! Lola Stark is nothing short of amazing, and the story that unfolds holds true to the title…absolutely CONFLICTED!
Trip is your typical cocky bad-boy with some deep-rooted issues. So afraid of commitment, he’s not one to grace the same bed twice with the same girl…until a one-night-stand with the best friend of his brother’s girl. Teeny.
Things are about to get straight-up crazy…
“How the f*** is this happening? I looked at her hand pressed tightly to her stomach, her very flat stomach where…no. Just no.”
Oh yes, Teeny is knocked up…and Trip is the daddy. Let the rollercoaster begin!
Teeny is a spitfire. She’s tough on the outside to hide all the insecurities she carries inside. Growing up, she never had a true role model…just a father who didn’t want her and a mother who couldn’t even take care of herself, let alone Teen. When you have no foundation, how can you possibly build one of your own?
Teeny is about to take a crash course in becoming a mother…and being a couple…with Trip. Best-worst couple ever! Finding a happy medium is their biggest dilemma. Both are stubborn and passionate. Both want the other, yet carry a fear that things will just blow up.
“…if I have my way, it won’t be a ‘one night’ thing, and lastly, we’re havin’ a kid together. I’m gonna be around a lot. In fact, I think we should try this…”
***
“First of all, you don’t get to walk into my damn life and tell me how it’s going to go. We are never going to be in the same room together unless it is for a death, a wedding or hell freezing over…Even then, I might push you out in the storm. Second of all, don’t be a cocky prick, and lastly, I’m not even sure I’m keeping it!”
Oh, it’s on. Or is it? Can Trip truly be with just one woman, a woman carrying his child? And Teeny, will she finally open her eyes and see what is staring her in the face, asking for a chance…a chance to change, to be a man—the man she has loved longer than she can remember?
Did I mention, I loved this book? Oh, well, yeah. I am completely smitten with Trip and his “softer” side. The cocky front he puts on is just that—a front. I love that I finally got to know him, it was well worth the wait! Trip is sexy and sweet; and deep down, he wants to do the right thing by the woman he loves…er, got pregnant. What’s not to love about an honorable man?
I cannot wait to see what happens next on this rollercoaster of life, love and babies…
4.5 Trip-tastic Stars!
Teeny is Scar’s feisty best friend, she’s stubborn and filled to the brim with attitude. That’s what Teeny wants everyone to see when they look at her. Deep inside, Teeny fears turning into her mother; developing the same depression that she had, the one that drove her father away – eventually leaving her all alone.
Trip is Mace’s brother and works at Needle’s Kiss, he’s a bit goofy, sure of never wanting to settle down with one woman and a giant man-whore. Trip sees how in love his brother is and although he’s happy for him, he seems to think that love destroys everything.
Now, Teeny and Trip have always been attracted to each other, but neither wanted to let a one-night stand disrupt their friendship. But after a drunken night they fall into bed together and Teeny finds herself now pregnant. Trip can’t seem to figure out what he did that has caused Teeny to throw so much anger at him, but he does know that it’s turning him on.
“Don’t push me, Princess. I’m clear out of give-a-fucks and my dick’s so hard it could hammer nails. Move that sweet ass before I bend it over and fuck it into oblivion.”
When Trip discovers that she’s pregnant he momentarily freaks out, but soon realizes that he has to step up and be a dad. More importantly, he wants to. Teeny fights Trip at every turn, worried that him being so sweet to her is just going to cause her to fall in love with him, knowing that road will only end in heartache. But Trip is starting to realize that the amazing sex with Teeny isn’t the only reason why he can’t seem to see anything but him, now if he can only get her to see him.
Even with such a heavy subject matter and Teeny’s constant bickering, this was such a fun book to read. Trip had me laughing out loud and completely entertained. His moments of utter fear during the doctor appointments, birthing classes and eventually the delivery were laced with such bits of humor that you just couldn’t help but fall completely in love with this goof-ball.
“Are you supposed to do that? Down there, I mean. Is that safe? I don’t think you should be putting anything up there. There’s already something up there. I mean, don’t break it or anything. I need that.”
“Damn, I wasn’t a woman and I wasn’t stoked at the idea of my fun house turning into an escape hatch.”
Their development as characters throughout this was just so good, each of them had a set of fears that they had to overcome and both dealt with those is such drastically different ways. The way these two fought was an art form, an art form that they both perfected. Easily and purposely pushing every single button ensuring that they would set each other off, knowing that that type of explosion would lead to them falling into bed.
Beyond the laughter there were some serious heart pounding, palm sweating moments. This had that perfect blend of sex and humor that ensures that you thoroughly enjoy yourself while reading.
This is a fantastic series that first introduced us to Mace & Scar, who we all fell easily into love with. Lola Stark continues flawlessly bringing us Trip & Teeny and finally introduces us to Haven (Mace & Trip’s little sister) and Jude (their friend) who will get a chance to tell their story mid-2014.
First things first, you have to understand where I'm coming from in writing this review:
1. I did not read the first book because when I tried the first two chapters, I instantly did not feel the heroine AT ALL. And I knew I wouldn't be able to stomach her for the rest so bye bye.
2. I've been reading a lot of heavily emotional books and I just need a fluffy romance break. I saw a couple of reviews on this one and they said that there were some humour in it, so I checked out the blurb and decided it was worth a try even if I didn't read the first one.
Now that's done, my verdict on this one is...
Most books start off strong and end up disappointing you towards the end. The opposite happened in this book because it started out so weak and irritating that I contemplated DNF-ing this one as well. Thank heavens somewhere a little past the halfway mark, it got better. Like my kind of rom-com better and I actually fell in love with it! 3 stars may be a little low for some but I think it's the perfect rating with the way I rate the stuff I read. It wasn't stellar and do remember that more than half of it annoyed the hell out of me, but then the latter part swooped in and redeemed it.
The blurb pretty much says it all: one-night stand turns into guy knocking up a girl he's not in a relationship with but is immensely attracted to and vice versa. There were a lot of back and forth drama during the first half and that's why the comic relief during the second half was such a treat. I don't know why the author just didn't stick to the humorous tone all the way, I mean she could've still injected some drama (less annoying one at that) while making me laugh. But oh well.
Teeny was the main reason why I didn't like the first half because if it weren't for the fact that she was pregnant, I would've smacked her irrational ass. Okay that was a bit harsh, but still. Trip, on the other hand, was such a revelation. Yeah he was taken aback that he got Teeny pregnant but once he was over his confusion, he really went out character to prove just how much he wants this with Teeny and wants it all the way with her and their unborn child. He was just so sweet and his little and not-so-little surprises really melted my heart, especially since it was so not him to be all romantic like that. And my goodness, he was just so funny when it came to Teeny's pregnancy and the actual giving birth scene.
Here are some of my favourite funny Trip moments:
It wasn't like Hallmark had a card that read 'Thanks for destroying your bag with my spawn' so I had to come up with something else.
Excitement filled me. "The head! It's out!" My excitement fizzled when bloody water gushed out. Starting to feel woozy, I swallowed hard and my lip curled. "Is it meant to do that? My breathing became heavier. "I don't like that." I stepped back and away a little, my stomach rolling. "Nope. Babies are meant to be soft and fluffy. Teen's not having a demon baby." I held the wall for support, panting. "I'm in bad shape over here. You just keep doing what you're doing, Princess. I'll be right there." I doubled over, breathing deep and trying not to pass out.
Yes, I'm aware I just posted a whole paragraph but that one's really my favourite.
Oh, and you can bet that he was also hot as hell. The steamy scenes were well written and it's no surprise how Teeny ended up getting knocked up even though it was an accident. I'd want to have Trip's babies too. Overall, this book turned out to be a pleasant surprise! But I'm still looking for that perfect fluffy romance story.
I was privileged to have the opportunity to read Conflicted Love early, and after reading it I could not wait to write a review.
I honestly thought Lola would not have been able to top Tattered Love.
She has!!!
Conflicted Love is a best read for 2013 in my eyes. The argueing, the banter, the sex and just (swoon)TRIP, will leave you hot from the first chapter and on.
Trip (I'm sorry Mace) is one guy I would love to meet in real life. He's hot, horny and fan-bloody-tastically funny!
"What was I suppose to do? Skip around in cricles smiling and handing out candy while rainbows came out my ass?"
Great work Lola Stark. I really look forward to reading more from you in the future!
When I first read Tattered Love I was blown away! I loved Scarlett so much where normally I have trouble relating to and liking female heroines. Many times they come across as snotty, whiny, bitchy, or just plain stupid. I was so overjoyed with Scarlett that I messaged Lola and told her how great that book and character was. When Conflicted Love was released I was super stoked knowing that I loved everything about the first book in the Needles Kiss series. I have to say this one did not live up to the last installment.
There was really no plot to this story. Teeny and Trip had a one night stand and Teeny ended up pregnant. Trip of course was a man whore who never slept with the same girl twice and wasn't interested in a relationship. I don't really know what Teeny's problem was other then she was a major bitch. She had a crap car, crap apartment, crap job, and she still didn't want Trip to know about or help with the baby.
The whole story was basically Teeny going through her pregnancy and whining. Trip tried to be helpful and Teeny would treat him badly. I really hated Teeny to the point that I was hoping that she would die during childbirth and Trip, Mace, and Scarlett could raise the baby. I know it's horrible of me but I couldn't help myself.
Now that you know I absolutely hated Teeny I can tell you what I did like about this story. Even though Trip was a man whore he really grew and took responsibility for Teeny and the baby. He in no way deserved how she treated him and I would have knocked her in the head. I say give Trip a purple heart for his troubles!
As always Mace and Scar were a joy to read about and I loved Scar's sassy attitude. I do have to say I really liked the relationship between Teeny and Scarlett. It reminds me of friends I have. People that you have been friends with for so long and are so close too that you can say anything. It was sweet and funny to see them interact.
After reading this I really did enjoy it. Not as much as Tattered love but I would definitely buy another book from Lola Stark. Her sense of humor alone is worth the read. Teeny is her vision and even though she wasn't my favorite character I respect what this writer created even if it did annoy me a little bit. If you liked the first book you really should give this book a try. I'm a hard customer to please when it comes to female leads. I know that I have been in the minority before but this is just how I felt and I hate that I didn't love this book. I will definnitely be on the lookout in the future for more books from Lola. She's a fantastic writer and I can't wait to see what she will come up with next.
Sometimes in life you make a decision that you know might result in regret but you make it anyway then deal with the consequences,such was my decision to read this book 😂 . Book 1 was ok, book 2 was 50% push/pull,40% foolish, childish behavior and 10% ok reading with my 100% regret that I even opened this book. Tripp was ok, though he made some really dumb choices I had to keep checking for his age because he acted like a child a lot but 1.he didn't cheat 2.he was all in from the ultrasound going forward for his child 3.he tried with Teeny and didn't strangle her. Teeny was a horrible, whiny ,insecure, b#@chy h who got on my last nerve. She suggested they not be exclusive but use protection if they had to be with other ppl, I mean seriously wtf they used protection and she still ended up pregnant so what if he did it and got some disease(that's the way my brain works 😂) .Then when she saw he had a date her stomach hurt from seeing him with someone else...b@#ch needed to have several seats! Ugh this book annoyed me, Teeny ANNOYED me I just can't anymore.. 1 star for Tripp,0.5 stars because I love unexpected baby romances I'm done! edited to add because the delivery scene was hilarious rounded up to 2 🌟
3.5 'conflicted' stars
This book was filled with tons of unnecessary drama that I felt so conflicted on how to rate this. All these drama was borderline annoying because it just went on and on and on right up till 60%. I love Mace and Scar's story in Tattered Love much more. And these two lovebirds were all over each other here and I love every scene with them in it. So make sure you read Tattered Love first.
We seen some of Trip and Teeny from Book 1 and there was a big revelation in regards of them having a baby after a drunken one night stand. Cue epic tug-o-war of love/hate/bicker/meltdown.
Let me start by saying, Trip was amazing by his own. He was a tattoo artist, pierced everywhere, including you-know-where and have a little cavemen tendency. He used to be a manwhore, but he always had a soft spot for Teeny. Now that he found out he had knocked her up, he was over the moon and wanted to do the right thing. He was putting himself out there to care for her and make her happy. They were having a baby! The way he keep insisting his child was going to be a boy due to his own masculinity was so freaking cute.
Now that I need to talk about Teeny, hmm... where should I start? She partly ruined the book for me for causing all the unnecessary drama. 'Oh, he's so hot, I want him so much. But I don't want him to want me because of the baby'. Urg! She was such a bitch here. I can blame it on the hormones, but when the same issue just went on and on, I just can't stand it.
Trip was a saint and Teeny was getting on my nerves.
"Stop running away! Act like a fucking grown up for once."
"Don't you dare tell me what to do! Don't patronize me. And get the hell out of my way!"
You know what? These two gave me a freaking aneurysm.
After they finally settled their differences and came to accept each other, I was finally treated to some sweetness and swoony moments. . Unlike in Tattered Love, there was an under lying suspense that still kept you guessing towards the end. Here there wasn't a strong plot to keep me engage beside the pregnancy, by 70% I was skimming through waiting for their baby to pop out.
I still think this is worth a read if you love Tattered Love because Mace and Scar had their wedding here! Swoon! Oh, there was even a little snippet of Mace and Scar's Christmas celebration in the end. Love it!
When I find an author that I know that I can grab their book and sit down and read it straight through already knowing from the first page that I will love it, I adore those authors. Lola Stark is in my top 10 people. She writes funny and hot stories with characters you really wish you could meet in person.
Trip was just that a freaking TRIP, He was sexy, so so sexy and funny as all get out. I mean this guy cracked me up in this book so many times I thought I would bust a gut. They were just friends but oh holy heck what kind of trouble can two friends get into when their secret crushes just explode all over each other?
 Trip is freaked...but he steps the hell up so fast it made my head spin. The funny way Lola wrote his perspective had me giggling like girl. I mean he was so real it seemed.
 Teeny was beyond freaked out but when she saw the miracle they created she knew the right choice.
 I got mad at Teens several time because Tripp was trying so hard and she was just plain stupid at times.
But I loved how it all came together and the beauty of one sexy alpha male and a sweet little baby alpha in training will turn this woman into a sobbing pile of mush any day.
 When Tripp saw that finally Teens really saw him and loved him for who he was..he just solidified his perfect alpha seal.
I can't wait for Jude's book. If you need a hot possessive alpha that is not going to give up till he gets his girl..then Lola knows how to write them.
Go get you some Mace and Trip now!!
Arc from author for honest review and blog tour..really liked it! Full review to follow..
Having loved Tattered Love I was on pins and needles waiting for Conflicted Love to come out..and I was not disappointed. I devoured this book in like two hours and laughed, got pissed and had to wake up the hubs to quench my needs from reading some of the scenes. So win..win!
[image error] photo TAT7_zps6155e35f.png
The banter between Teeny and Trip was hilarious and being a girl that LOVES dialogue it fed my need to fly through this book. It's no secret in knowing that Teeny has found herself pregnant after a drunken night with Trip, the man whore. What you do find later is that this was destined to happen..
Sometimes you don’t know what you are looking for until it literally slaps you upside the head. Teeny being pregnant and giving Trip the family that he never knew he wanted but was raised to succeed at. That sealed the fate of both these strong willed people to start to let down their defenses and start to feel.
The next story was set and allowed us readers to instantly want to know more without overwhelming Trip and Teeny’s story, well -done Ms. Stark..well -done!
Never an easy road to travel, they navigated in humor and friendship and ended in their Happily Ever After..
Lola Stark has released two books this year and firmly planted herself in my favourite author category. Let me tell you why.
1) She mixes funny with sexy and then she adds a little bit of sweet with a side of serious. Some authors can't do this very well but Lola makes it appear effortless.
2) She creates swoonworthy men - hot alphas who adore and love their women with all their heart. And what woman doesn't want a man like this?? Me... said no woman ever!
3) She creates tough, independent chicks who love their alpha guy but don't let him walk all over her.
Conflicted Love is Trip and Teeny's story. We met them in Tattered Love and let me tell you, you will fall for them in Conflicted Love. You will especially fall for Trip. *sigh* Trip is such a well written character and has all the traits I love - he is cocky and self assured, he is caring and thoughtful and he is an alpha. Teeny is a vulnerable, yet tough chick and while at times I wished she would get her head out of her ass and see what Trip was offering her, I did love her. I felt for her and could identify with her internal struggles and doubts.
So, Teeny is knocked up and Trip is freaked out. This provided for some very funny banter between these two and I had some good laughs at the pregnancy problems they dealt with. And, let me just say, Trip is absolutely the kind of guy I would want to go through pregnancy with! *sigh*
AND we got to see more of Mace and Scar in this book. Let me just say that again for you... MACE!! **double sigh** I still love Mace the most! Lola, can we PLEASE have another Mace book??? I really loved seeing where they were at.
If you enjoyed Tattered Love you will also love Conflicted Love. Go get it - Trip will charm you into loving him too!
My honest review for Conflicted love.
This book was a stand alone about Trip and Teeny. Reading about their story was a roller coaster. I do love them together. As much as they argued and fought and cussed out one another, I love them as a couple. I'm so glad Trip took responsibility for his actions and put his big boy pants on, Teeny did annoy me in the beginning. She was so against everything that had to do with Trip, she refused his offers, she constantly was creating arguments. That's just how she is, that's her personality. Towards the middle Of the story, I saw a change in her I liked. Trip sure had a lot to deal with. I enjoyed the chemistry between them.
These Torres Brothers sure are panty rippers... Literally! Reading about Trip made it hard to choose between him and Mace now, so I think I'll take both! Trip was sweet and caring, he didn't give up on Teeny easily and that said a lot about him. I'm just glad that they put all their issues aside in the end and focused on what's more important. And this book didn't have a cliff hanger, which was relieving! Overall I would recommend this read to others without a doubt.
Conflicted Love is a great sequel to the Needle's Kiss Series. Trip and Teeny are an explosive pair. Pretty much everything felt right about their story. My one complaint is that Teeny is in her own head for a huge chunk of it. Trip goes above and beyond for her even after she constantly pushes him away. Other than that, their story is filled with witty banter, hot fights, and laugh-out-loud humor. Trip makes every effort possible to prove his devotion to Teeny. And when Teeny isn't completely over analyzing the situation she is great. She is a girl I wouldn't mind spending the day with just to hear what is going to come out of her mouth next. Mace and Scarlett are back too which heightens the story and makes you feel for this group of loyal friends and family. Conflicted Love is a feel good, easy read. It only took me a couple of hours from start to finish. As she did before, Ms. Stark leaves us wanted that next book right now. I can't wait for the next installment featuring Jude and Haven.
Little miss Lola Stark, you have done it again, my sweet! Not only do you manage to make me swoon on almost every page, you also have me shaking with laughter while I lie in bed and try desperately not to wake the whole house with my cackling.
I adore Trip! I adore Teeny! I adore Mace and Scarlet! I even adore every one of the secondary characters! Now add to that a healthy dose of pregnancy hormones, some Sexy McSex on a stick scenes that you should probably avoid reading on public transport, unless of course you're into having complete strangers see your OMG-I-GOTTA-GET-A-TRIP-IN-ME-RIGHT-NOW face, and you have Conflicted Love, or as I like to call it: MADE OF AWESOME!
Hilarious, HOT and ... did I say hot already?
Not sure which of the two books I enjoyed more, I loved this one, and I think for me it just had the edge, I mean come on, I'll never be able to compare myself to Scarlett but at least I could identify with Teeny throwing up for her pregnancy!
I love Trip and Teeny together, they have a knack of pushing each other's buttons, and their make up sex is great.
After watching Mace fall hard for Scarlett in book one I wasn't sure if Trip would fall for Teeny as hard. I didn't expect him to pass out in her though bless him!
These books have a great cast of characters and they make for a really lovely family. Couple that with hot hunks, a Harley, lots of tattoos and dirty sex and you have an unbeatable combination in any book.
Roll on book three!
I didn't think it was possible to love Conflicted Love more than Tattered Love. I was seriously mistaken. Teeny and Trip are so imperfectly perfect for each other it's a bit scary! This book is hilarious, steamy, emotional and, did I mention, HILARIOUS!! If you have read, and loved, The Chocolate Lovers Series by Tara Sivec, you will LOVE the Needles Kiss series!! I am truly obsessed with these books and so cannot wait for more from the Needles Kiss family!!!
**SHANYN'S REVIEW**
*4.5 Stars*
“Conflicted Love” is the second in the “Needle’s Kiss” series. Reading book one would definitely be my recommendation, so you fully understand the characters in this one.
“Teeny was pregnant. Pregnant with a baby, a baby that may be mine. A baby that’s mine?”
Trip has always been the ultimate player. He never sleeps with the same girl twice, and never has feelings for any girl. Teeny is best friends with Trip’s boss at the tattoo parlor. She is sweet, beautiful, and someone Trip can’t seem to forget. They have a love/hate relationship, ever since their one night stand. But, when Teeny ends up pregnant, everything changes.
“What was I supposed to do? Skip around in circles smiling and handing out candy canes while rainbows came out my ass? This wasn’t something I’d ever thought about.”
When Trip decides to step up and take his place as the dad, Teeny has a lot of reservations considering his player status. She doesn’t want her heart broken again, and tries to make some “rules” in their relationship, so that no one gets hurt, especially herself! But, things change for Trip along the way, and he realizes, for the first time, he actually wants a relationship. But, Teeny isn’t ready for that, especially with a man who can hurt her so easily.
“I might not be a stand-up role model, but for the right reason, I can fucking change that.”
“I didn’t think I would be able to live a life where I was the chick he knocked up and stayed with because it was the right thing to do.”
I feel in love with Trip during this book. He is the bad boy every girl wants to change. Trip and Teeny had such great passion between them whether they were fighting, laughing, or in bed...or on the kitchen table...or...wherever else they found themselves.
I absolutely loved this book, Lola Stark gave just enough passion, angst, and humor. I found myself laughing out loud often during this book, which I didn’t expect, but was so welcome.
“One minute I was crying about pickles, the next I was begging to be stuffed with one.”
“Is it broken? Oh God, it’s broken, isn’t it? Fuck me! You know, Mom never could give me anything as a kid. Toys. I’d break ‘em. New clothes. I’d mess ‘em. Now, I fuck up my favorite part of my woman! Goddamn it! Tell me it’ll be okay, Doc!”
This is a definite must read!! You will fall in love with Trip too! And, even though you will have some angst and stomach butterflies from their rocky romance, you will be so happy you read their story.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
I just finished Conflicted Love and I absolutely loved it! Conflicted Love is the 2nd in the series, the first being Tattered Love. TL was with Mace and Scarlett. CL is with Trip and Teeny. Trip is brothers with Mace and works at Needles Kiss with Scarlett. Teeny is best friends with Scarlett. I didn't think it could get any better and it did. I loved TL but this one is my absolute favorite. Trip is what you consider a screw them once, no repeats kind of guy. It is his prerogative and just doesn't understand why someone would change themselves and settle with one woman. Teeny has had a crush on Trip for awhile and understands him and I think she thinks that she could handle just one night so there is a lot of flirting in TL, but what we end up finding out is that Teeny and Trip did get drunk and had a one night stand which changed everything for them. Not only did they sleep together but she ends up getting pregnant and Trip is the last to know. How will Trip re-act when he finds out that he is going to be a dad? How will this change for everyone? You have to read and see....
This book had it all for me. Love, Sex, Angst, Laughter, Forgiveness, Anger and Birth. There were times I was happy, I was angry, laughing, and yes I shed a tear or two. It was such an emotional high that I didn't want to come down from. Trip, man, he is so freaking sexy and I love how he is freaked at first but mans up. Talk about balls. Some guys wouldn't do it. Teeny was it for me. I just loved her. Her ball to the wall attitude just had me cracking. She is a tough cookie and it will take a patient Trip to crack it. Their banter was the best that I have read and I couldn't have asked for anything more. They were off the charts and damn, you needed to fan yourself whether they were in and out of the bedroom.
I loved all the characters. Scar, Mace, Remy, Jude, Haven, all of them that I didn't mention. They all had their part and I honestly cannot wait to see what happens to all of them.
The story flowed really well and there wasn't anything that I disliked about the story. Honestly, if you are looking for a wild ride, full of nothing but tension, happiness and hotness. This one is for you. You will regret it if you do not catch this series. You are missing out
Conflicted Love......
Trip......
Teeny......
Lola Stark......
BRILLIANT, FANTASTIC, AMAZING, INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
What makes an exceptional author???? For me it is the ability to suck a reader into the story and hold them in a death grip until the last page is turned. The ability to have your readers experience a wide range of emotions and reactions to a story. The ability to have the reader invested in the story and feel like they want be friends / family / lovers with the characters.... Is that last part weird.... maybe.... BUT to want to be part of a story like that is magical.
Lola Stark has an amazing skill where she has you swooning over her alpha males one minute, cheering the females on for not be whiny ass chicks the next, then laughing out loud so that those around you think you have completely lost your mind and 2 seconds later be on the verge of tears. Her characters always show amazing growth and the story just flows so fluidly... by god this woman knows how to write.
Conflicted Love is a brilliant sequel to Tattered Love but this time it's Trip and Teeny's story.
Trip is the cocky and hot as hell tattoo artist who works with Teeny's best friend Scar. Teeny is an independent, strong and yet vulnerable young woman, who has had the hots for Trip for a while. When a one night stand turns into a unexpected pregnancy, they are set on a rollercoaster ride of fights, hot sex, more fights, angst, hilarious situations, more fights and more hot sex but will they get there act together and admit their feelings to find their own version of happily ever after?
And OMG.... YES, YES, YES!!! I was beyond excited that we got more of MACE and SCAR... god I love them.
My absolute favourite part that had me laughing ass off was during the birthing scene, sooo hilarious and then I had tears threating and was so touched by the reactions that followed.
I read this book in one sitting, well..... actually I have already read it twice because I LOVED it that much. This book was just perfect! There is absolutely nothing that could possibly make it better and it has cemented the fact that I will be a Lola Stark fan for life.
5 Amazingly Tripped out Stars!!
 photo tumblr_mw95lxeGlk1qasqa8o1_500_zps3254458a.png
This was an all around feel good read for me!! I laughed, I cried, I grumbled (at Teeny mostly) and I laughed and cried some more!!!
Trip was just AMAZING in every way! He was doing everything possible to prove he could be what Teeny and Midget needed.. seriously I would have caved when he brought the pickles in the middle of the night.. In my eyes Trip could do no wrong (it was just one awwww filled moment after the next)
"Got a baby comin'. Can't strap Midget to the back of my Harley"
Teeny just had tons of hormones taking center stage and her insecurities didn't help much!! Lucky Trip didn't give her much brooding time and won her HEART just being himself.
I got the HEA I was wishing for in this laugh out loud, sexy, super Hot but insanely sweet read..
This one is definitely a reread for me and has landed a top spot on my favorite shelf!!!
Cant wait to see what else Lola Stark has cooking =0)
“My seed is strong, woman. It makes big healthy boys. With large penises.” - Tripp
5+++++ stars!!!!!!!
First off have you read Tattered Love? If not get your ass in gear and buy that bad boy.
Cause Mace will NOT disappoint you! Now on to Conflicted Love.
I fucking love Lola Stark and her mad writing skills. I mean seriously! Tattered Love was one of the best books I read in 2013 but, then she released Conflicted Love and blew. my. mind.
description
I could not put this book down. I felt the struggle with Tripp on wanting to be a better man for Teeny and his Child. I also felt Teenys fear. But, in the end they get their HEA but, getting there is the hard part for them both. They have choices to make. Conflicted Love is the perfect title for this book. Honestly I felt how conflicted their feelings are during the whole book.
description
NOW, I have to wait for book 3. Haven and Jude! The ending of Conflicted Love will leave you wanting more about these crazy characters! I just hope the brothers leave Jude in one piece long enough for Lola to give us another amazing story! ;) And I am sorry Lola but, from now on I have to stalk everything you write. Sorryboutcha.
I really, REALLY loved this book. I received a copy of Tattered Love also from the author, and freaking loved that!!
We met Trip and Teeny in Tattered Love. At the end of TL we find out after one drunken night Trip knocks up Teeny. When Scarlett described Trip in book one, I thought damn he sounds SUPER hot!! A tattoo artist who rides a motorcycle, yummo!!! The way Lola Stark writes just flows for me. You get the hot sex and also she is super funny(not in the try really hard to be funny way, but natural funny banter). Some of the stuff they said to each other had me cracking up. I am a huge fan of the heroine playing hard to get lots of that in both books. It was awesome to watch Trip turn from a player to downright loyal, delicious daddy.
"You in the kitchen, barefoot, pregnant and bent over. Fuckin hot, babe." He grabbed his junk squeezed, his eyes taking a slow purposeful trip down my body kicking the temperature in the room up a few notches."
I loved all of Teeny's crazy ass pregnancy hormones. And what did Trip do? He did and listened to every single, crazy thing that came out of her mouth...smart man ;)
"One minute I was crying about pickles, the next I was begging to be stuffed with one. Speaking of pickles, I need some; I hadn't managed to get my fill. I was torn between shifting my hips onto the one poking me in the back, or the jar Trip had shoved in the fridge after screwing me senseless on the kitchen floor"
4.5 Stars!! Go and get your self a copy. Book one is on sale for 99cents so you have to get that one first and meet Mace, Trip's older brother!!
Lola never disapoints! I new I was going to love everything about this book! Trip and Teeny are great characters- they grow together and your going to love all the process! It will make you laugh and make you say "aaawww". Oh, and in this journey this two are always HOT! I totally saw where Teeny was coming from with all her worries, they are very legit worries-everyone wants to be loved for who they are, without doubts... And it's good that even though this 2 are in denial, they deal with every situation thrown at them. Specially the gorgeous cocky Trip- he is full of patience because Teeny is feisty as hell and I love that about her. This series keeps getting better and better and I can't wait for the next one!
